Author has written 3 stories for Torchwood. Edit: I've rather abandoned this site and my writing since I first joined - you would not believe the amount of work and medical issues I have at the moment. Okay, so maybe you would, loads of people on here seem to be in much the same boat! But my brain is still working, those cogs turning away, especially at night, so almost all the ideas I've come up with are kind of dark, I suppose. But I hope to write some funny things too. But anyway, I've written down all my ideas, and as soon as I have less work to do and am in better health, I'm hoping to churn them out a bit. I've had a few reviews and comments on the first few pieces I've uploaded on here, and they've given me confidence to write and post more. I'm so glad people like what I write, and I hope I can write more for them soon. I've been meaning to get my lazy backside on this site for a while now, and I finally went and did it. :D Favourite Fandom: Ashes to Ashes, Spooks and Torchwood Favourite Pairings: My favourite pairings are Gene/Alex, Harry/Ruth, Danny/Zoe, Jack/Gwen, and Jack/Gwen/Ianto :D I mostly write short stories, though occasionally I'll write something longer. I write many different things, including my own music and lyrics, and poems, etc. but obviously just the fanfiction will be posted here. I'm currently considering making a journal for my other writing. I tend to write either funny and light or dangerous and dark, often sexual, stories. I realise that these are about as opposite as you can get - I suppose that's the joy of writing each one separately. (N.B. Just a little note for you all - I tend to have the urge to include rape, torture, etc. in my stories a lot... this isn't some sickening desire for it or anything, it's just something I find interesting to write about. I know some people really can't face those kind of stories, either for reading or writing, and I completely understand why. Personally, however, coming from a very arts-based background, and now being an art student who also does a lot of acting, etc, I think you become almost desensitised to these kinds of things as concepts. When talking about art or often in theatrical productions, rape and torture are often alluded to or just plain flung into your face just as much as the cliched death or nudity or sex, and it's something you become comfortable talking about (obviously not with it actually happening to anybody in the real world though, so don't think I'm going psycho on you or anything). Just wanted to clear this up so if anyone is offended, there's an explanation here. :) Thanks) Now, onto the writing! I hope you enjoy reading, as much as I enjoy writing. Comments are loved, especially constructive critisicm. I'm always looking to better my work, or just know that someone out there has read my efforts! :D |
