I write fanfiction because I'm too much of a coward to put my real self out there. But, in the end, isn't your writing your soul? Mine must not be worth much, then.

I have no OTPs, just characters in my head who say, "Hey, we want to get it on!" and then they won't leave me alone until I let them.

I don't participate in fandom because, yeesh, you people are nuts.

I've left every single piece of fanfiction I've written posted, and I've made myself promise not to take any one down. They serve as a reminder that while you may suck at writing, as time passes you will still suck at writing, but fewer people will think so.

Write only for yourself, otherwise you're selling yourself short. Oh, write for the voices in your head, too. Otherwise, they will stage a coup, and then you're really screwed.
