![]() Author has written 1 story for Avengers. Hi FanFic Fans!! I'm a 42 year old British writer and fan of "Cult TV" all the way from the 60s to the present day (you want to see my DVD shelves!!). The "Golden Era for me were the 60s-80s and it is from these decades that most of my favourite shows hail (although American TV is producing some GREAT shows these days, I must admit). I'm new to FanFic, but not creative writing - been writing for years - screenplays, comic scripts, short stories and "started" several novels. Took part in the 2007 NanoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) where the goal was to write the first draft of a 50,000 word novel throughout the month of November. I managed it and "won". The title of that novel: "WISHBONE". I also make short films from time to time. And so to FanFic... So far, I've made a start on two stories: 1: THE NEW AVENGERS: "FRESH WOUNDS" (canon) 2: THE SARAH JANE ADVENTURES/DOCTOR WHO (crossover): "WOUND IN TIME" (no, I don't have a fetish about the word "wound", but you COULD be forgiven for thinking so! Rest-assured, I have no other stories with "wound" in the title... yet (not sure what Freud would make of it... ;-) Just uploaded my first piece - the first 4 chapters of the TNA story "FRESH WOUNDS". Please note: this is in early FIRST DRAFT stage - more getting the feel for the characters and story - and I'm not even sure where the plot is going so it could well be "all change", but I just want to get it up for people to see. Although AVENGERS FanFic is quite popular, FanFic for the NEW Avengers is - sadly, as in my view the new series was superior to its predecessor - pretty thin on the ground, so the more power to its elbow the better!! I know one writer on here - and a fine writer she is too - specialises in TNA fan fiction and she's quite prolific with several short stories and indeed longer pieces completed and in progress (so please check them out); and there are one or two others out there - but I'd like to see MORE! That's it for now. By all means read and review and pull me up on "continuity" mistakes. All I ask is that you keep it constructive! :-) |
