stare at string

Hello. I am stare at string. I write fanfiction to get better at writing, because I'm not a good writer. So yes, if you write a review saying how short/horrible my story is, I know that already. If you say how it's an absolute mess, that would be wonderful! Of my stories/poems/stuff, I think Different Worlds is probably my best. And I have reviewed one of my stories and voted in my poll using my own penname, which I wasn't expecting to be able to do, but I've found to be possible...

Twilight is with no question my favorite book. My favorite character in Twilight is Jasper. I think everything about him, his name and his history, is awesome! I think I write best in Edward's pov, though. I think Edward is better than Jacob, not necessarily for Bella, but just in general.

I have read a few Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl fanfics, though I'm not nearly as obsessed with them.

(Update- I'm nowhere near as Twilight obsessed anymore; the movies completely ruined my ideas of what went on in the series. I leave that profile ^ , and the stories I wrote, up because I always feel accomplished to have written even a few stories, even if they're fanfictions of a series I don't like anymore. )

My tomato poll actually has more than one right answer. It just depends on whether you believe the law or the botanists when deciding what is a fruit or veggie. I put it there after reading a 'rant' on Scott Westerfeld's site. Before, I accidentally put "Is a tomato a fruit or veggie?" then made the answers yes and no... Personally, I would have picked yes.

Since I normally read profiles when I'm pretty bored and want something to read/do, here's a list of my favorite quotes, sites, and copy+paste-ies:

Websites:

-A page from Scott Westerfeld's site. (He's the guy who wrote Uglies.) It has really nothing to do with his books, so you could read it without any knowledge of Scott's stuff. It's about tomatos, V8 juice, and perceptions... http:///author/rants/frontofcan.htm

-A site where you type in your birthday. It gives you some fun information, like what tree you're supposed to be like, your Native American zodiac signs, a list of famous people born on your birthday, and (my personal favorite) how much water the candles on your birthday cake next year can heat... http:///birthday.asp

-An anagram maker. Anagrams are awesome! I actually made my penname from an anagram. (stare at string- strange artist) Anagrams are rearrangements of letters used to form another word... http:///anagram/index.html

Copy+Paste:

If you can't figure out if these copy and paste things bug you or if you love them, copy and paste this onto your profile.

If you realize that copying and pasting things into your profile is pointless, yet you do it anyways, copy and paste this into your profile.

If you've ever copied and pasted something onto your profile, copy and paste this onto your profile. The irony...

Quotes:

1.) Maybe we should develop a Crayola bomb as our next secret weapon. A happiness weapon. A beauty bomb. And every time a crisis developed, we would launch one. It would explode high in the air - explode softly - and send thousands, millions, of little parachutes into the air. Floating down to earth - boxes of Crayolas. And we wouldn't go cheap, either - not little boxes of eight. Boxes of sixty-four, with the sharpener built right in. With silver and gold and copper, magenta and peach and lime, amber and umber and all the rest. And people would smile and get a little funny look on their faces and cover the world with imagination. ~Robert Fulghum

2.) Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try! ~Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!

3.) There are three types of people in the world: those who can count, and those who can’t. ~author unknown

4.) Think what a better world it would be if we all - the whole world - had cookies and milk about three o’clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankies for a nap. ~Robert Fulghum, All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten

5.) Stupidity killed the cat. Curiousity was framed. ~author unknown
