* ON HIATUS. *

So right now some of you are probably flailing happlessly and going "OMG! Where did your stories go?! I miss Plague and Pestilence!" Yeah, yeah, I know. I am a supremely evil bitch for taking it down and some of you probably want to hunt me down with pitchforks and torches and chain me to my desk and demand that I put it back RIGHT NOW. Fear not--it's not gone for good. I'm taking a break from writing and art for awhile.

A few months ago I was diagnosed with a pain condition known as Fibromyalgia. Some of you might know what this is and understand immediately. If not, read on. It's a disease that basically causes me to be in extremely intense pain almost all of the time. I'm on pain medication and some other things to try to manage it, but even when I'm having a "good" day in terms of pain, the most unsubstantial of activities can leave me completely exhausted and drained of energy. Constant pain and tiredness is not a good environment to foster one's creative faculties in, and as such, I've decided to take a break from my online activities until I get my condition a little more under control.

I didn't think it was very fair to leave my stories up for new readers when I can't promise consistent and/or timely updates, so I decided to remove them until such time as I can update more regularly. This was a major life-changing event for me (well, more like an addition to a pile of other life-changing events that I am dealing with already) so I hope you will all understand, and be content with my promise of an eventual return. Until then, I hope I can still drop in with the occasional comment or review for you all--I'm not totally inactive in the community, and I don't want to totally disappear. The wonderful stories from all of you keep me going on my worst of days, so I hope you're all doing well in the meantime.
