![]() Author has written 3 stories for D N Angel, Loveless, and Count Cain: God Child. My name is Eiri. Nice to meet you. c: My age is one of my best-kept secrets and incredibly irrelevant, for I find that I can behave anywhere between the ages of thirteen to thirty at any given time. Fanfiction is a hobby, but creative writing is my life. I have a ton of original pieces lying around my hard drive, and countless notebooks have fallen victim to my whims as well. Unfortunately, I'm also one of the world's most accomplished procrastinators, and I've yet to actually finish an original story. I love writing more than anything, but alas, writing does not seem to be particularly fond of me when it comes to certain things (like completion). One day, that will change. Manga titles make up some of my main inspiration. I tend to picture things that I write in manga form; whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, I've yet to discover. It certainly seems to work for anime fanfiction, though! Someday, I'd like to team up with a manga artist to create the ultimate BL/yaoi manga... (MPD Psycho meets Gravitation, anyone?) I love, love, love manga. So much so that I have a rather extensive library taking up the most of my bedroom shelves. Some of my favorite authors include: Yun Kouga, Kaori Yuki, Maki Murakami, Eiji Otsuka, Shou Tajima, and of course, the absolutely incomparable Kazuya Minekura. Much as I love manga, and much as I love BL/yaoi, I often find myself at a loss for titles I actually like for three specific reasons: 1.) They're too short. Oneshot pieces are all well and good, but I like longer, ongoing pieces that keep me entertained. 2.) They're riddled with sex scenes that don't have anything to do with the story. I don't have anything against sex scenes (duhhh), but story lines that extend outside the bedroom are by far more worthwhile in my book. Then again, I'm also a firm believer in quality over quantity... 3.) They end in tragedy. The tragedy is, more often than not, critical to the metaphor of the story and it's generally done very beautifully (Boys Next Door, for example), but... come on. I want a happy ending sometimes, too! I love to talk with people who have read my work. If you like what you've read of my submissions, please don't hesitate to send me a message. I promise I don't bite! (Haha, that was lame...) Reviews are always nice, too. Hint, hint. Nudge, nudge. c: |
