In their final hour on LV-426, the team becomes separated, each struggling to reach the dropship before the nuclear reactor detonates. As Hudson fights to free himself from alien clutches, he reflects on his past and what it means to live. After escaping LV-426, Hudson, Vasquez, Ripley, Hicks and Newt are held in quarantine as they recover from their mission. Stuck in close quarters, Hudson and Vasquez find comfort in one another as they each deal with their own damages and navigate the days that follow. As their release date approaches, a secret that Vasquez is keeping threatens to separate her from the group.

During their search to find Jamie, an untimely encounter compels Claire and Murtagh to return to the caves to seek refuge. Their pursuit interrupted, Claire and Murtagh's companionship is put to the test as they must rely on each other to make it through several days of considerable challenges.
