Greetings and Salutations! I'm assuming that, since you're looking at this, you want to know a little about me, so I'll start with my name, or rather my pen name. Marguerite Blakeney is a character in The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy, one of my favorite books. Other of my favorites include Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, Dracula by Bram Stoker, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (also one of my favorite movies- yay Gregory Peck!), 1984 by George Orwell, and anything and everything having to do with Mark Twain.

My most favored movies, along with the aforementioned To Kill a Mockingbird, are the Indiana Jones trilogy, the original Star Wars, When Harry Met Sally, Madison, the 1968 version of Romeo and Juliet, Pride and Prejudice, Sabrina, Chicago, Pretty Woman, Where the Heart Is, The Princess Bride, Moulin Rouge!, and Gone with the Wind (the best film ever made, if I do say so myself.)

The soundtrack to my life would be pretty random- indeed, I have the most varied musical taste of anyone I know. I'm a fan of everything from Edith Piaf to The Rolling Stones, and my ipod has been known to go from Vivaldi to Fall Out Boy to Billy Joel to the soundtrack to Les Miserables in rapid sucession. I don't like genres of music, I like specific musicians- those, I suppose, that I can relate to.

Very little can truly get under my skin, but there are a few things that I truly hate. These include people who freak out whilest driving through a tunnel and commence to go approximately .2 mph (although this really only applies when these people happen to be directly in front of me), being forced to read anything written by Charles Dickens (because the guy was paid by the word- it gets a little old), and people who are intentionally malicious.

I list these things not because they are what I write about- actually, very rarely do I read or write (though at this point it might be more accurate to say "think about writing") fiction about my absolute favorites- but because they inspire me.

As a reader, I have a soft spot for a good love story, correct grammar, and being able to believe what I'm reading, even if it is completely improbable. As a writer, I overthink occasionally, and spend ridiculous ammounts of time searching for just the right word.

Currently, my favorite fandoms are Greek Mythology (HadesxPersephone), Harry Potter (LupinxTonks), Sailor Moon, and Red Eye, although these are subject to change at any time.

Please, if you have any questions or comments about my work, feel free to review! I'd love to hear from you- really, who doesn't want feedback? Anything you have to say, I assure you, will be appreciated.

Have a lovely day =-D

What do you get when a goddess trapped by overprotection crosses paths with an alienated god? Why, the myth of Hades and Persephone, of course. Not that the title didn't give this one away...
