![]() Author has written 2 stories for One Piece. Age: 21 Gender: Male First Language: English Going by the main points I want to know whenever I look at someone's profile I'd say those are the top 3 things a reader actually wants to know about the potential author. I'm a fan of the 'big 3' comics but One Piece was the first one I read and while there were a few years where I preferred Naruto and Bleach, One Piece is my favourite shonen series and it's nice to see the rise in One Piece fan fics compared to when I first found fanfiction.net and there were around 700 stories and no character search option (you had to read the summaries and guess by story genre for what 'type' of story it was)... It was also my first encounter with terms such as ZoLu that had me (A die-hard LuNa fan) incredibly confused. Considering the number of stories now it's good to see the changes and in general it's good to see One Piece has become slightly more popular out-side of Japan despite initial dubbing and censorship... issues... Whooped for joy when Brook secured the role of musician for the crew, when I was on FF years ago the only musician stories in sight were of girls playing harps- take THAT 2006 writers! Finally finished 'Innocent Justice'... the name still feels pretentious but it's the one I picked years ago so I'll keep the name. The overhaul felt needed and I'm glad I've done it... part of me still wonders whether I should've included a 'lemon' but I think I can finally leave the thing alone and hopefully will not go back to 'editing' it in 2 years time. Top 5 favourite manga characters: Touya-Cardcaptor Sakura Toph- Avatar the Last Airbender Gutz- Berzerk Luffy- One Piece Kiriyama- Battle Royale (manga) I went through a 'harem' phase of enjoying the stories where Naruto is paired up with every single female the story has introduced. Turns out that in most stories this reduces every single female to simply saying "I love you" and that's IT as far as character development go or personality goes. While there ARE a few good harem stories out there- it's mostly because the harem is a secondary thing and the primary story is already excellent such as Rosario Vampire.. the manga version clearly... Nowadays I enjoy the stories with actions and consequences. It's no fun unless some of the good guys die as well, which is why I was pleased with Oda's first choice of character death (on panel) -not within flashback- in the series, it took me awhile to comprehend that this was not 'merely a flesh-wound' and that Oda had in-fact actually killed off a character with a name and with a reasonably clear angle. While I'm a diehard LuNa fan and pay a stupid amount of attention to all the 'little' moments I do acknowledge they're meaningless- there's only ONE romance in the entire series I think I'd be prepared to get into a forum war over about whether it's 'real' or not and that's Usopp and Kaya's romance, that one's real Usopp's taken. |
