I know I'm a bit late but RL... Well that's it really RL got in the way. AGN 18 has reached the 5000 words and has to do some more growing before its posted. My early readers said that the quality of the chapter and its flow is fine so once I have written the final scene it will be posted! :)

Most of my profile updates are usually done after midnight so they tend to be a bit odd. Hence the title, Odd Status Update.

Alis Grave Nil will have at least 20 chapters and I hope to finish it before May 1st. I know that my writing is not everyone's cup of tea. I know that it's dark and the chapters long. I know that each chapter makes you wonder where exactly is she going with this??? I know, I know... But I also know that some, perhaps 20 readers out of the 150 who read each new chapter might actually like this.

The story is inspired by the show and the comics. This means that it is supposed to be noir, a bit disturbing at times but also trying to keep the humanisation of Lucifer as the show has promoted so far.

My writing is not perfect but I have gone a long way in the past 10 years. Sometimes you will feel frustrated, or perhaps this is why you visited my profile after reading a couple of chapters or one of my one-shots. You wonder who writes this kind of things and why. I will be completely honest because one day I might have to take a short break for a week or so soon, therefore, I want you to know.

I'm not a native English writer and thus, I struggle. I struggle because in RL I have to write in a very different way in English. If you read my main greeting you will find out why. As to why I write this story? I had an idea which was born mainly through the comics and found fertile ground in the show's universe. Then the Christmas Countdown came and slowly a new story was formed where each chapter had a new twist. And it's true, this story has many twists and it will keep up with that until the very end.

Trixie's paternity is not a twist really but a hook. If you have read up to chapter 9 you will realise that slowly everything is falling into place but at the same time new questions arise. That's normal. This is a mystery and although you, the reader knows more than the characters it doesn't mean that you know the whole thing. There are different plots and subplots which will hopefully take you by surprise. All I can say is to never take anything for granted in this story aside from Lucifer being Trixie's father. That is not going to change.

Finally, I just wish I had this amazing ability to write this story under different circumstances and in a more reader-friendly way. So that's it I guess... A constantly tired lady is trying her best here.

Main Greeting:

I have many things planned for my new fic. Don't get me wrong but it's currently my therapy, my salvation. Wanting to make this clear, I have to say that I don't have much free time to write fanfic but I'll update Alis Grave Nil every week. Also I really, really want to start reading some more Lucifer fics as well.

Furthermore, I just want you to know two more things.

A) I'm pursuing two degrees at the same time. My 3rd and 4th respectably. No, I do not brag. Seriously now I don't. I'm just exhausted, so If an update is late or anything just remember that I'm staying alive only by the aid of tea and due to my supervisor's threats that he will go to hell to bring me back if I do not deliver. Seriously now he would actually do that.

B) I have all the important parts written down for Alis Grave Nil. This means that if you stick around you will probably have some good time. But I'm not a native English writer so more often than not I'll scr* things up and you will feel as frustrated as I do. That does not mean that I'll stop posting, just that every chapter is painful for me. It has to get out and it's... well a bloody business to do so. So if you notice anything off, by all means, let me know but have the appropriate tact.
