Until one day, Thalia's foster father Gorion receives a strange letter and they flee the castle under cover of darkness. Ambushed hours outside the gate, Gorion was slain before her eyes. Lost in the larger world, Thalia deserts the battle and swears vengeance. Seeking help from his longtime friends and her sister, Thalia's grit tears them around the Sword Coast as they hunt the bandits responsible for both the local iron crisis and Gorion's murder. But things are not always as they seem and Thalia begins to uncover a secret she thought had died with Gorion -- her true parentage.

Meta: A full novelization of the first game, following Thalia, and how she struggles with her heritage as she seeks vengeance for her father's murder. Featuring a good fighter protagonist who fears magic, a female-majority party, sisterly love, betrayal, madness, nightmares, elven slapfights, a surly Red Wizard, and doing what she has to do to stay alive. I'm very proud of it and it's 90% finished!

Anton Beckett thought he would never see sunlight again. Perhaps prison, though, might be better than having the Empire breathing down his back. Released into Vvardenfell, he struggles under the command of Caius Cosades, and meets another fish out of water, Julan, who helps him adjust to the alien land and helps him learn to trust in peace again. Even so, Beckett continues to have strange dreams about golden-skinned elves and a life lived and lost.

Meta: I'm 35K into this with... likely way way way more to go. It's daunting as fuck, but it's the Morrowind novelization I want to read, so I guess I'm gonna stay with it. Anton Beckett and Nerevar are nearly inseparably alike. Once outcast, they turn into skilled people-readers, which turn them easy liars, manipulators, and politicians. It also tells the tale, through out-of-order dreams of important scenes, of the Tribunal, Nerevar, and Voryn Dagoth.
