Just a little about myself...

Someone who met me today probably wouldn't know it, but I didn't find my love of reading until college. When I was a kid, no one in my house read. I was encouraged to read by my grandmother, but my mother never saw it through. Not until I was in college and I was bored one day and picked up a long-forgotten book did I realize how wonderful books were. I owe my English teacher some of the credit for it was a book she'd given me that prompted me to read. I didn't stop for a while. Read everything people gave me and borrowed books, bought books, etc. When I graduated from college, I got caught up in life stuff and finding work. I kind of got away from reading...and frankly, writing too.

A few years ago, I started writing fanfiction again. It came upon me like a truck had hit me. I got my first honest hit of inspiration in so very long. I wrote frantically for a week and produced my first finished piece of fanfiction...well...ever! I realized at one point that I was truly writing romances and I couldn't write a romance if I didn't read at least one. So I picked up a series of randomly selected romance novels from a second hand book store. Well, I read one and didn't stop. I'm not a true romance novel fan. I read constantly now. I also continue to write.
