The Blister Pearl Lady enjoys writing fem stories because of the butterfly effect she believes they should come with, though she also loves both canon slash and straight pairings. She will pair anyone with anyone, loves certain pairings but does not believe in true OTPs, and is at least just as interested in character studies or "in want of a nail" fics as in romance. She prefers canonverse, though she does indulge in reading AUs such as modern college settings from time to time. Her chief fandoms are Harry Potter and anime, though more recently she has developed a slightly unhealthy obsession with Marvel's Thor franchise.

The Blister Pearl Lady has a bachelor's degree in two main areas - writing and marketing. She is capable of business writing, fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and essays alongside fanfic. She is currently in the process of starting up her own online business, editing theses and dissertations for money. She is also in the middle of writing her first novel, a dystopian sci fi story with romantic love elements. The Blister Pearl Lady has done extensive personal nonfiction writing. She has taken several years of music lessons and is currently in the process of recording covers of her favorite songs from her home.

The Blister Pearl Lady loves tea and coffee, scented cosmetics, big sweaters, rescuing animals, a nice glass of red wine, meditating, soft folk rock and pop rock, and her chief obsessions that she doesn't currently write fanfic for are Stranger Things, Studio Ghibli, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. She loves shows like The Twilight Zone and American Horror Story. Her main hobbies are in books, writing, film, entertainment, art, concerts, readings, and music.

She chose her username The Blister Pearl Lady because blister pearls are a kind of long, glassy shell of a pearl that forms unexpectedly on the underside of the oyster. She loved the idea of beauty growing in the most unlikely of places.
