Author has written 10 stories for Pokémon, Pokemon Detective Pikachu, and Battlestar Galactica: 2003. Greetingseth I’m SparklingEspeon (or just Espeon/’Espy’ for short), but some people know me as Team Rocket as well. I’ll answer to all three, although I prefer the first two. I’m a fanfiction author of roughly two years (although I’ve been lurking here for quite a bit longer), with aspirations to maybe make the cross over into published literature soon! I tend to enjoy fanfiction that places more of an emphasis on the pokemon, but really I’ll read anything that’s well-written. I’ve gotten attached to a fair few trainerfics over the years... I love to listen to music, although pop music/songs tend to disrupt my writing flow and thus I gravitate more towards orchestral arrangements and film/game soundtracks while writing. The odd musical catches my ear every once in a while too. Pronouns: She/Her Age: 17 Hair: Bellatrix Lestrange Favorite Region: Kalos Favorite TV Shows: A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Witcher, Battlestar Galactica (2004) Favorite Pokemon: Fennekin/Braixen/Delphox. Interestingly, Espeon is not the highest ‘mon on my favorites list! Name: You shall never know… Currently reading - PMD: Guiding Light (Ambyssin), PMD: Hands of Creation (Namohysip) Current Story: Do Psychic-Type Pokemon Dream of Electric Sheep? Espurr woke up in the middle of the woods without any memory of how she got there. Seeking sanctuary in a secluded village with only a gaggle of children and a hyperactive fennekin for company, it falls to her to get to the bottom of the strange events affecting the entire world... before the dark forces stalking her catch up. It's slow-paced and admittedly gets very dark at times, but the three main characters are all absolutely precious and will make your heart glow. A Home Far Away, by MadderJacker Meluja sits in a stagnant peace, and the Guild thrives in a golden age of heroism. Wonders and adventures lurk in every corner, and it's everything Riley could have asked for. And all he has to do is stay quiet about where he came from. A surprisingly exotic take on PMD that starts out comically simple and gets more and more layered as it goes. It's a slow burn, but the payoff is worth it. PMD: Hands of Creation, by Namohysip This story is criminally underrated outside of some circles, but quickly rising up in the ranks. It follows a "late-evolving" charmander named Owen who is thrown into the middle of a divine conspiracy and has his life turned upside down. Soon, he has to decide which of his friends to rely on... and which of his friends are in fact his enemies. Has a very goofy anime-esque style, but that doesn't stop scenes from holding weight when they need to. I think I can very safely say that I haven't seen anything quite like this, in published fiction or otherwise. PMD: Guiding Light, by Ambyssin I'm sure you've heard of this one already. Being dropped into a textbook PMD adventure is Shane's dream come true, but that dream quickly becomes a nightmare-- can he help fend off the dark forces encroaching upon the world, before they rip it all apart? There's a large tonal shift between parts of the story, and arguably a bit too much filler, but it's famous for a reason - the quality and scope of the story and writing is no joke. PMD: Warped Skies, by Team_Ion When a human-turned meowth is dropped into the world of PMD: Explorers with knowledge of the original game, he tries his best to keep everything on track. Too bad the universe has no intentions of letting that happen. A derivative retelling of Explorers of Sky that takes a darker turn as it goes on. It arguably takes a bit to find its footing, but once it does it takes off and doesn't stop. Favorite quote: "Life is short. But the next one's not. Let your heart adrift, and your soul will get caught. Believe the lies; ignore the truth. Listen to me; I will show you the proof. Speak from your heart. Say the things that you know to be true." - 'Head' Baltar, Battlestar Galactica ~\({O})/~ An Additional Note: If you're writing a fanfic for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, are an avid reader of PMD works, or or would like to talk to the many amazing authors already in the fandom (or perhaps all three), then come join PMD: Writers United, a thriving discord server dedicated to both PMD and fanfiction!
