Author has written 19 stories for Inheritance Cycle, Pokémon, Golden Sun, Danny Phantom, Tales of the Abyss, and Kingdom Hearts. Not even going to try doing a long summary/letter, given that it's entirely likely that it'll be years before I update this thing again. I do still write fanfic, and even post it here on occasion, but much more of my attention is elsewhere, and I rarely come here anymore. A lot of my interests have changed, and I can't promise that any of my old ideas will be finished (in fact it's probably safe to say most of my ideas are - currently - dead, with the exception of Said and Done), and for that I'm really sorry. More of my current stuff can be found on my Dreamwidth journal, for those who are interested. Also, a lot of my story profiles are out of date. Sorry about that. In any case, long story short, I'm not dead, but I'm not exactly present either. Gorse Story Profiles Multi-Chapter: Spanning Time - My pride and my joy, my first big flagship fanfic. Based in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness universe. Starting from when he escapes Dusknoir after being recaptured and returned to the future, this story follow's Grovyle. He recounts his past, the friends he made, the battles he fought, and how he discovered and committed himself to stopping the collapse, a story that is bound by striking parallels to the very quest he is determined to complete. Currently discontinued. Sorry guys. :( Said and Done - Kingdom Hearts, also my pride and my joy. Alternate Universe. After Axel finally comes clean and tells Roxas and Xion the truth, they are left with a single choice - to live or die, to fight fate or accept it. And the choice they make will affect more than they can possibly imagine. Now on the run from the Organization, and faced with Sora sleeping for another two years, they must face the consequences of their actions - including making new friends and allies, finding out and foiling the plans of enemies on multiple sides, and most importantly, fighting to protect the thing that matters most: each other. Current Active Project. My Only Crime - Pokemon, info coming eventually. One Shots: We Go On - PMD2 Spanning Time Verse - Originally supposed to be the epilogue of Spanning Time, until I decided that it worked perfectly fine as a standalone oneshot. A ray of hope for those who were disappointed by the ending of PMD2, as Some GrovylexCelebi, if you squint at it. In the End - PMD2 - In fiction, changes to the timestream (if the plot even allows them to be actual "changes" at all, rather than creating something that's "already happened") are ususally portrayed one of two ways: immediately as the change occurs or delayed, as the changes cause a "ripple effect" in the timestream. When player disappears in PMD2, the second is used. This fic uses the first. The only one of my one-shots to date that is not considered part of the Spanning Time universe. Nightmare in a Nightmare - PMD2 Spanning Time Verse - One of two fics to date from a villian's perspective. Darkrai is, in my opinion, the darkest villian I've seen in a Pokemon game to date (though I haven't played all Pokemon games, admittedly). And this was a very short ficlet from his perspective as he sees an opportunity, and takes it. No Room for Compassion - PMD2 Spanning Time Verse - The second of my two fics from a villian's perspective, this time Dusknoir. And in my opinion, it's been one of my more misunderstood pieces, given some of the fandom's tendency to romanticize evil characters and turn them into the "misunderstood poor not so bad guy." To a lesser extent, that was what I was trying to do, but more a "give him shades of gray rather than black-and-white evil vs. good. However, I'm not going to complain. Even they are clearly getting at least part of the point. Snow Day - PMD2 Spanning Time Verse - This was written as a 2008 holiday special for Spanning Time. Pretty much Exactly What It Says On The Tin. Berry Stains - PMD2 Spanning Time Verse - A humorous and insignificant plot-wise one-shot. Miranda gets tired of plain old white Guild-issue scarves. So she shows a bit of a rebellious streak. Juxtaposition - Golden Sun/Golden Sun: The Lost Age - Holy crap, something that isn't PMD2! Joking aside, I'm proud of this little ficlet. An in-depth view of the two characters who are shortchanged for dialogue in at least one of the two games, as they meet again at Jupiter Lighthouse. Taking Flight - Danny Phantom. Short introspective piece from Dani Phantom's perspective. I welcome all questions and comments. Please, feel free to PM me. I love hearing from you guys. |
