What I like to read

I really, really, really enjoy reading post-apocalyptic fiction. I don't know why. It just works for me. Some of my favorites are Eternity Road, Alas Babylon and the Dark Tower series.

I like books with a supernatural theme in them. It doesn't even have to be a big part. I just think its more interesting. Sort of magic realism. I'm really into Haruki Murakami right now. Any of his stuff is pretty fantastic but the best in my opinion is still Kafka on the Shore.

Quirkiness is a big thing with me. I love to see books written with a different perspective on a famous event or figure. The Waywalker series would probably be the best example of that.

There has to be something said for darkness in fiction as well. Whether its with the themes dealt in the stories or just a general atmosphere to them.

What I like to watch

Again, anything post-apocalyptic. Just love it.

Caper films. I cannot get enough of them and unfortunately there's not an awful lot of them around.

I love films that have twists in them, complicated plots or even snappy narrations. (I know, kind of like a caper film)

I don't really go for romance but if there's something that's a little bit different from the normal romantic films I do tend to appreciate them. For example, the Fountain or 500 Days of Summer.

To be honest though, I'll watch mostly anything.
