Weeks after Max has returned to the brothel, she and Eleanor finally sit down and talk.

Wounds are opened and issues aired when Max sits down at the bar one night when Eleanor is tending.

Anne Bonny, new member of the Ranger crew, crosses the line after she hits a crewmember in the face and now Vane demands an answer from her. Jack manages to turn the situation in his favour - a game of Liar's Dice, with Anne's life on the bet. Pré Black Sails.

The moment Eleanor realized she had fallen in love with Max.

"Tha' girl may not be blood, mate, but she migh' as well be," he whispered. "The single most important treasure Flint ever stole." Billy/OC [T for now but will eventually lead to M.]

What happened to poor old Jack when he is left naked and tied to the bed by Anne Bonny.

Eleanor learns many things from her mother but the most important is this: the coin is the only power Nassau recognizes. Some event pre-canon. Slight AU where Max leaves Nassau after the second episode and Eleanor stays to capture the Urca with Flint.

Max is just settling into the role of brothel Madame when she overhears a conversation about one of the working girls and her intentions towards Eleanor. Max is not amused, or jealous, no matter what Anne Bonny tries to imply! This was supposed to be funny and smutty, but then Serious Feelings exploded all over the place instead. Sorry:)

A look inside Max's mind after she and Eleanor sleep together for the first time. And then she has to go back to work, and she really doesn't want to.

A possible, if not slightly wishful thinking, ending to Episode Five.

Everyone makes sacrifices for the things they want and every dream has a price. It's just a sad truth that some will have to pay more dearly than others.
