Previously on Legacy: Perseus beat the stuffing out of Jason. Perlia fluff. Apollo recruited Perseus to help him retrieve Artemis. And Bianca is still a bitch! But Perseus has a plan to ambush the hunt and Thalia has reservations about finally being outed as a traitor. It's about to pop off!

"Have you eaten?"

Perseus but didn't bother looking up from his work,"I will once I've finished this." He muttered, scribbling more information into his book. The son of Poseidon was hunched over his work and sat close to the fire, it was late and everyone else had gone to sleep. Perseus had volunteered for first watch and had unintentionally skipped dinner.

Thalia sighed before walking to her tent. Perseus, too enraptured with his work, paid her no mind as she came back with a handful of granola bars. She sat next to him, causing him to stiffen and close his book abruptly; casting her a wary glance as she rolled her eyes and unwrapped one of the bars.

"I'm not going to look. You can keep working." She assured him. She understood that Perseus wanted to keep some things to himself. He was not obligated to reveal everything about himself and she felt the same way. But ever since he got that black book he had become somewhat obsessed with filling it up with writings.

He blinked owlishly at her, surprised she wasn't prying him for information. Thalia had become much better at maintaining an even temperament. She knew when she should and shouldn't push him, and he was very pleased to see her mature in such a way. Perseus didn't want Thalia to be like him, quite the contrary, but he was glad to see that she was learning to be more considerate of his preservations. He knew she did it for him, and he couldn't be more thankful.

Perseus was trying to be better for her as well. He would consciously try to show affection for her because he knew she appreciated that. It was something he had never considered until she made some snide remark about his affection for her. It had angered him immensely and they had gotten into a heated argument over it.

"Some days I can't tell if you actually like me or not."

"You really think I don't care for you?" He had snarled incredulously. He remembered how insulted he had felt by such a remark. Perseus constantly put his reputation on the line for Thalia, something that wasn't easy for him. He had people like Bianca question his leadership due to his close relationship with the daughter of Zeus, and it was infuriating.

"It wouldn't hurt for you to show it more!" She had snapped back.

"Are you really that insecure?" He had mocked, uncharacteristically overwhelmed with anger towards the girl. How could she ever question how much he adored her?

Thalia had clenched her jaw and balled her hands into fists,"Maybe I am."

"Stupid girl." He regretted it the moment he had said it. Her eyes had filled with tears and she turned away from him, quickly storming off. Usually he would have sat there, letting her calm down before she would return to him. But he had leapt to his feet and chased after her. He wanted to do right by her, and his disregard for her feelings was extremely unfair.

"Percy?" He blinked rapidly, awoken from the memory that had brought him shame. Thalia was holding out the unwrapped granola bar for him to take.

He smiled slightly before shaking his head,"I'll eat after I finish this." He opened the book again and continued writing,"You should sleep. Tomorrow will be a long day." He said knowingly, but of course, Thaila had only snorted and scooted closer to him. Sighing internally he just continued to work until he felt the granola bar poke his cheek.

He looked up, startled to see Thalia putting the food in front of his lips,"Say ahhhhh." She instructed, giggling at his look of disbelief,"Here comes the train! Choo choo!" She poorly mimicked train noises as she aimed for his closed mouth.

"Thali-ack!" The second he opened his mouth she had slipped the granola past his lips. He narrowed his eyes before biting off a chunk of it.

She smiled, clearly pleased with his cooperation,"Oh! The train is coming back to the tunnel. Choo choo!" Perseus couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity, gently slapping her hand away as he shook his head. Thalia joined his laugh and leaned against his shoulder for support. While Perseus's laugh was quiet hers was significantly louder.

Once his laughter subsided he wore a small smile as he regarded her,"You're ridiculous."

She grinned as she waved the granola bar,"Someone has to make sure you eat." She plucked the book from his hands and slid into his lap. He looked at her in surprise as she set the book next to him and put the bar into his hand,"Now eat, then I'll leave you alone." She promised, planting a chaste kiss on his cheek before shifting so she leaned against his chest. Unwrapping another granola bar she began to eat it, making herself comfortable and grinning as Perseus huffed out another laugh.

Taking her hand he interlaced their fingers,"You're such a pest." He murmured fondly, smile broadening as he ate his food.

The black haired girl laughed,"Your favorite pest."

"Unfortunately."

Thalia was trying, really she was, but it was almost impossible not to laugh at Perseus. He looked unbelievably agitated as he walked silently between her and Apollo. The god kept trying to make smalltalk, kept trying to befriend him, but Perseus wasn't having it. Zoe looked just as agitated as Perseus as they listened to the god ramble. Even the ever antagonistic Bianca was growing tired of Apollo's drivel.

Surprisingly the hunters were civil with Perseus and vice versa. It was probably because of his serious nature and Zoe like personality. He and Zoe got along rather well, bolstering his reputation among the hunt. He was rational, respectful, and was the complete opposite of Apollo. He suspected that, had he been similar to the sun god, the hunt would detest him and rightfully so.

He had never liked Apollo; he was vain, loud, obnoxious, selfish, and manipulative. Maybe that was another reason the hunt tolerated him, because he had to endure Apollo's insufferable personality like they did.

"Ooh, Perce! I have a haiku you're going to love."

"What I would love is silence." Perseus snapped, glowering at the god as they walked,"Here's an idea, why don't we play…" He frowned before looking at Thalia.

"Hush puppies." She supplied readily. He cracked a small smile at her in thanks before turning back to Apollo, facial expression shifting to one of annoyance.

"Yes, let's play hush puppies."

Apollo tapped his chin thoughtfully,"Hmm...but that means I won't be able to tell you my haiku." Perseus's eye twitched. He didn't know if Apollo was purposefully agitating him or not, regardless - Perseus still wanted to shove a dagger in the god's throat.

They were going to save Artemis, and Apollo had insisted on using the element of surprise. This meant camping out a couple miles away from where Artemis was holding the weight of the sky. Apollo wanted to do some recon so they could properly prepare to save his twin, which meant Perseus was stuck with Apollo for two days. Great.

Zoe rubbed her temples,"Apollo, will you please shut up?"

He rolled his eyes at her,"I was talking to my boy, Perce-"

"I'm not your boy."

"-so chill out." Apollo snorted, pretending he hadn't heard Perseus's protest. A quiet laugh escaped Thalia.

Perseus looked at her with slight disapproval,"Don't encourage him." Zoe looked at Thalia, just as unamused as Perseus, and she nodded in agreement with him.

The daughter of Zeus smirked,"It's just nice to see someone else annoy you for a change."

"No one will ever annoy me as much as you do." He replied dryly, eyes sparkling with amusement as he moved slightly closer to her.

"I forget how charming you are." She snarked back, lips twitching upwards at their familiar banter.

"Wow. Is that how you guys flirt?" Apollo asked, loudly, and Perseus felt his eye twitch as he tried to maintain his usually even temperament. A withering glare was cast in a snickering Bianca's direction while Thalia flushed in slight embarrassment. Annabeth walked next to the children of Zeus, laughing at Thalia's expense.

"Oh, you should have see them when they were younger." The daughter of Athena teased,"They flirted by trying to kill each other every chance they got." Thalia glowered at the girl as Apollo looked at her expectantly.

"Well, that's an interesting way to do foreplay."

Perseus pinched the bridge of his nose,"Oh my gods."

The sun god grinned at his cousin,"Still a terrible way to flirt but don't worry, Perce! Everyone has their kinks." He winked at him. Perseus glowered at him, hand resting casually on handle of his dagger that was strapped to his waist.

Thalia's face resembled a tomato as the hunters looked at her with a mix of surprise and disgust,"Erm-"

"Don't worry, baby sis, I'll help you step your game up." Apollo grinned, slinging an arm around her,"Now, men really like..." Perseus tuned them out, smirking at a flustered Thalia as she looked at her boyfriend in panic, a silently plea for help. The son of Kronos shrugged before falling in step with Bianca. The two were at the rear of the pack, going mostly unnoticed as the huntresses snapped at Apollo in annoyance or whispered amongst each other quietly.

"I trust you'll be scouting ahead with me?" He murmured, walking stiffly beside her as he eyed the group in front of them wearily. They had to plan this trap just right or else everything would fall apart, and since Perseus was being dragged along, that meant they had to come up with a new plan.

She nodded, both of them looking ahead as they spoke,"Yes. She'll be waiting for you when we make our approach."

"Annabeth?"

"Her mother will be detaining her."

"And Thalia?"

"She is notified of the plan and will act accordingly." Bianca replied briskly, sending the boy a sardonic smirk,"You just better hope she doesn't put two and two together." She said vaguely, but Perseus knew exactly what she meant.

"She will."

"And then what?"

Green eyes darkened as he schooled his facial expression,"I'll deal with the consequences."

Apollo clapped his hands gleefully,"Ah yes. Percy and Bianca and Phoebe will make wonderful scouts!" He declared, making the daughter of Hades's lift her eyebrows in surprise.

"That won't be necessary. Three will be too many, just let Percy and I go-"

"I'm going." Phoebe interrupted,"If anything Perseus should stay here, he doesn't know the forests like we do."

Perseus gave her a blank stare,"I know my way around." He cast Bianca a look,"It won't matter if we have one more scout, three is a good number." Bianca gave him a slight nod. Thalia watched uneasily as the two communicated silently, and her stomach churned as she watched a grinning Phoebe wave at her sisters. The daughter of Zeus knew the girl wouldn't be coming back.

Annabeth noticed her friend's look of discomfort,"Are you alright, Thals?" She asked, following her gaze to see it locked on the trio,"Oh, don't worry about Perseus, he always seems to come back in one piece." She assured her. Thalia gave a hollow laugh and nodded, casting an uneasy glance at Annabeth before picking anxiously at the hem of her shirt.

The blonde frowned, it wasn't like her friend to be so nervous about a quest. Usually Thalia would be overzealous, excited to get out there and slaughtering monsters, but now she looked as though she were going to be sick. But that's what happened when people fell in love, she rationalized, they worried constantly for the other's safety. Thalia was just worried Perseus would get hurt.

"I know you're worried but...he'll be fine." Annabeth tried again, wincing at how lame she sounded when trying to comfort her friend.

Thalia didn't look at her,"I know." Her words were heavy with discomfort, clearly she didn't want to talk to her at the moment. So Annabeth remained silent, putting a comforting hand on her shoulder, and the two watched the trio run off into the woods.

While they worked on gaining some distance from the camp Bianca had started talking. She was walking side by side with Phoebe and trading fond memories together. She asked about her childhood, her parents, the hunt, and many other things that left Perseus curious. Why Bianca had broached these conversations, he didn't know, but he did notice how happy Phoebe looked as she rambled about the good times.

Bianca seemed genuinely interested in the girl's life. Each story would be followed up with a myriad of questions, as though she couldn't get enough of the girl. The two were smiling and laughing while Perseus bided his time. He wasn't sure how long they had been talking, he wasn't even listening to Phoebe's responses to Bianca's questions, he was too busy looking around to make sure they hadn't been followed.

Bianca was holding Phoebe's hand now,"Your brother did what?" She asked with a laugh, eyes gleaming with mirth as Phoebe grinned at her.

"He pushed the couch down the stairs. It impact made two of the legs break off."

The daughter of Hades laughed heartily at this before saying,"You must miss him a lot, huh?" It was more of a statement than a question.

Phoebe nodded, smiling slightly at Bianca's reassuring hand squeeze,"Yeah. But he knew why I joined the hunt, and he was happy that I found my place in the world. I know I'll see him again someday, I just hope it'll be in Elysium."

Bianca hummed,"What will you say to him, when you see him again?"

Phoebe's eyebrows furrowed thoughtfully,"I would say...I've missed you, loser."

Bianca smiled softly before looking out at the night sky,"That's nice. You two will go fishing again, ride bikes, and he'll hear all your amazing stories," A blade was unsheathed,"you'll even get to see your fallen sisters." The grip tightened on the handle,"Can't you see it?"

Phoebe looked peaceful,"I can." She abruptly collapsed, blood gushed out of the wound on her neck, and death struck her instantly. Bianca caught her corpse before gently laying her down, the smile on her face evaporated to one of indifference.

Perseus wiped his blade clean while he eyed her,"Is Animal Farm your favorite book?"

"What?"

"Never mind." He sighed, looking at her curiously,"Were you and Phoebe close?" He couldn't help but ask. Bianca and Phoebe's interaction had made them look like they had been friends for years. The ease in which Bianca interacted with her had surprised him.

Bianca shrugged,"Does it matter?"

"I suppose not."

She was quiet after that, leaning down and plucking one of the girl's daggers from her corpse. Perseus looked away, busying himself with looking out for Athena, allowing Bianca to have a moment alone.

"Perseus." Soon enough Athena appeared, holding up his white hockey mask and white hoodie,"We haven't time for our usual pleasantries."

"What a shame." He snarked, pulling his hoodie over his head quickly. Slipping on his mask he held out his hand to Athena, allowing the goddess to teleport them away. His heart was racing with excitement and slight nervousness, this would be it, and then he would go to rejoin his father's army.

Thalia wanted to vomit as they arrived at the top of the mountain. Only Bianca had returned, sobbing about how they killed Phoebe and took Perseus. The daughter of Hades had been very meticulous when speaking to the sun god, mindful that he was also the god of truth, and would undoubtably be able to pick out her lie. So she didn't lie when said they killed Phoebe, Perseus had killed her; and she didn't lie when she said they took him, Athena had teleported him away.

Apollo had quickly decided they couldn't wait any longer and they quickly scaled the mountain. The daughter of Zeus was terrified by the thought of Perseus being "captured" by Athena. The goddess had always brutalized him and she feared what she would do to him to ensure everything looked realistic.

So when they arrived to the sight of Artemis holding the sky, and nothing else, Thalia felt her heart drop. Could she really do this? Fear and guilt engulfed her as she allowed herself to fall behind the group. After this she would be a traitor, hated by her former friends for a cause she wasn't sure she even believed in. If it hadn't been for Perseus would she even side with Kronos?

She understood his plight. Demigods joined the titans because they were tired of being neglected. Thalia often felt bitter towards her own father, he had left her with an alcoholic mother and poor living conditions. Zeus hadn't saved her or Jason, the thought of her deceased brother caused her to scowl. Her father had the power to save him, just as the gods had the power to care for their children. Poseidon could have saved Sally, Hermes could have helped May, and Athena could have guided Annabeth; but their prayers always fell on deaf ears.

The gods were corrupt and they deserved to be dethroned. But how many of these thoughts were hers and how many were Perseus's? Eyes blurred with unshed tears as she allowed herself to fall to the back of the group.

"Artemis!" Apollo shouted, taking a step towards his struggling twin. The goddess looked up at him, face scrunched in agony and arms wobbling as she let out a cry in pain. She was caked in dirt and she had been weakened due to the weight of the sky. Silver eyes were dull and her hair had lost its luster, filled with debris and bearing an ashen streak. The power that once radiated from her was greatly diminished, and the goddess's eyes only held a look of hopelessness. She was no longer the confident and strong goddess that the huntresses had grown to love.

The goddess shook her head,"N-No! Leave!" She wouldn't look at her huntresses, she couldn't.

"Not without you!" Zoe snarled, about to run to her mistresses only to be held back by Apollo.

"Wait. This isn't right." He murmured.

A lone figure appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, and the group drew their weapons. Thalia's eyes widened, Creep. She hadn't seen the boy in a long time, he had always been there to interfere during their first quest to save Artemis. Besides getting taller he hadn't changed at all. Gold eyes studied her through his white hockey mask, and the hood of his hoodie covered the top of his head. He stood there rigidly, perfect posture, and radiating power and confidence that unsettled the hunt.

"You again!" Zoe growled,"Take off your mask, coward! I want to see the look on your face when I run you through with my blade." Creep tore his gaze from Thalia's and looked at Zoe, choosing to remain silent as he stood between the hunt and their goddess.

Bianca slipped through the hunters and made her way to creep,"Bianca stop!" Apollo warned, raising his brow as she ignored him. The daughter of Hades sauntered up to the boy and placed her forearm on his shoulder casually. He remained still, eyes void of emotion as they watched the god warily.

Zoe's eyes widened,"You."

Bianca smiled blithely,"Me."

"How long?"

"Since the very beginning." Her smile hardened,"Zeus killed my mother, and Hades locked Nico and I in the Lotus Casino for decades. I have no love for the gods, and Kronos will end their tyranny." A manic grin appeared,"He'll cut Zeus into millions of pieces and scatter them..." Knowing her cue Thalia channeled her power, drawing dark clouds overhead, and lightening lit up the sky and Bianca flashed the girl a smug smile.

Annabeth caught on before Thalia had even taken a step forward,"No." She breathed, grey eyes looking at her in betrayal,"Not you." Thalia squeezed her eyes shut as the hunt focused their attention on her. Clenching her jaw she stepped past the hunters, going to stand next to Bianca, and only then did she gain the courage to finally meet the angry gazes.

"Thalia...we're family. You're my little sister." Apollo rasped, eyes filling with sorrow,"Don't do this."

This actually caused a spark of anger to ignite within the girl,"We just met, Apollo. Don't pretend I actually meant anything to you."

"But you meant something to me!" Annabeth snarled, eyes blurring with tears as she met Thalia's sad gaze,"Why? Why would you do this?" Thalia looked away from her, the familiar feeling of nausea washed over her once again. She had never wanted to hurt Annabeth, and she didn't know how to make her understand.

So she didn't answer. She couldn't answer a question she had been asking herself for the past couple months. There were a lot of reasons to dethrone the gods, but she didn't have the same conviction that Perseus and Bianca had. But wasn't there enough of a reason to switch loyalties when she no longer held her own convictions about protecting the gods? She wasn't sure.

"Well?" Annabeth spat, clearly upset with her silence,"Are you going to answer?" Thalia remained silent,"Look at me, coward! Look at me and tell me why!" Her voice was riddled with faux anger, trying and failing miserably to mask the grief in her tone. She was hurt and angry and confused and Thalia could not fault her for that. Had she been in Annabeth's shoes she would feel the same.

Thalia had once prided herself on her unflinching bravery. And yet here she was, unable to meet the questioning gaze of the girl she betrayed. Unable to admit that her decision to join the titans may have been one made out of impulsivity rather than proper reasoning. Because if she allowed herself to, she would acknowledge that she was angry at a select few gods, and that in no way warranted betraying her dear friends.

"My answer will change nothing." Thalia tried to sound strong, really, she did. But the quiver in her voice betrayed her; so did her wobbling legs, trembling hands, and tear stained cheeks. Annabeth looked at her as though she were a disease, the disgust was palpable in judgemental grey eyes, and her lips sneered in contempt as she addressed the daughter of Zeus.

"You're right. Your answer changes nothing." Annabeth repeated, a shaky breath escaped her and she gritted her teeth,"And for that, you will always be dead to me." Gods, she had really underestimated how much those words would hurt.

"Can we cut the soap opera crap?" Bianca huffed, only further stoking Thalia's rage.

She whirled on her with her hands balled into fists,"Just shut up, Bianca!" The sky darkened even more so and thunder made the earth tremble. Surprisingly this gave the daughter of Hades pause. She knew this was an emotional time for Thalia, she knew it was difficult, and she even pitied the girl. However, she also harbored a large grudge against Zeus and all his children, and Thalia was no exception.

Her fatal flaw got the better of her,"What are you going to do? Huh? Cry on me?" She sneered, freezing when she felt the shoulders she was leaning against tense up. Sharp, auric eyes pierced hers. They bore an eerie look that promised suffering, and it was enough to shut Bianca up entirely. The daughter of Hades nodded in understanding, choosing to stare straight ahead.

She didn't speak to Thalia again, and the daughter of Zeus was looking at Creep in confusion. Why had he silenced Bianca? He met her gaze momentarily, and a warmth filed his eyes as he looked at her. But just as quickly he looked back at the hunters, leaving Thalia to wonder if she had just imagined things. His eyes were familiar, but she didn't know why that was.

A figure materialized next to Creep in a flash of fire. The man was tall and muscular, he had platinum blonde hair along with the same brilliantly colored beard. His skin was glowing the color of copper, and his eyes were a molten gold; resembling the color of the sun and they radiated a harsh light. The man was wearing bright, gold armor that matched his long golden sword. Flames licked at his skin and he was grinning broadly at the group before turning to Creep.

"Sorry I'm late. Atlas really fought me to be here, he wanted his treacherous daughter," He looked pointedly at Zoe,"to die by his hand. But when I heard Apollo would be here," His grin broadened at the sight of the sun god,"well, I just couldn't pass this opportunity up." Thalia watched in surprise as the boy's eyes softened at the sight of the titan, and he gave him a nod before facing the group again.

Apollo clenched his jaw as he notched an arrow,"Hyperion."

The titan's chest puffed out in pride as he gave the god a cocky smirk,"I'll enjoy crushing you. You are but a sun god, but I am the Lord of Light; for the night is dark and full of terrors." If there was one thing those two had in common it was their theatrics,"And I see you've met my nephew here."

Apollo's focus shifted to Creep in surprise,"Your nephew..." He trailed off, eyes widening in realization as he examined the boy's eyes.

Hyperion placed his hand on his nephew's shoulder proudly,"This is Soterios," Soterios was greek for savior, and Thalia couldn't help but roll her eyes at the name,"and he is the son of Kronos. Kronos's first and only demi-titan son." Everyone aside from Hyperion and Bianca were looking at the boy in shock. That's why he was so fast, that's why he radiated such power, it all made perfect sense now.

"That's impossible-" Apollo was cut off by a hardy laugh that escaped the titan.

"Oh, you shall see I speak the truth." He smirked and released his firm grasp on the boy's shoulder,"Soterios, show them the strength of Kronos!" Soterios vanished and reappeared beside Zoe Nightshade. No one could react quickly enough when he slammed the butt of his spear into her skull, effectively knocking her unconscious. Tension was replaced by fury as the huntresses charged.

Annabeth hesitated, holding her knife so tightly that her knuckles turned white. Her hesitation was long enough for her mother to appear behind her. Without a word of warning she snatched her daughter, slapping her hand over her mouth she teleported the girl away, and no one heard Annabeth's muffled cries for help.

Hyperion was quick to launch himself at Apollo. The sun god leapt backwards, firing off a volley of arrows that were all easily deflected with the titan's sword. Hyperion was fast, far faster than Apollo had anticipated, and while Apollo was fast as well he was unprepared. Hyperion's blade clipped his shoulder and he cursed loudly. He ducked the next attack that was aimed for his head, and launched himself into the air.

The sun god was flying, holding shooting his arrows at Hyperion as quickly as he could. The titan deflected them with his blade, laughing as he shot fireballs at the god. And while Apollo was impervious to fire, the force of the blows were enough to knock him backwards. Growing frustrated he conjured a sword and dove towards Hyperion. They met in a clash of sparks, the force was enough to make Hyperion slide backwards as they locked blades.

"Come now boy, you may be a master swordsman, but you cannot rival me!" The titan laughed, shoving the sun god back before attacking him furiously.

Soterios was surrounded by six huntresses and he remained deathly still as they circled him. Four of them had their knives unsheathed while the other two had their bows drawn. Their other sisters had quickly gone to swarm Bianca and Thalia, both girls had been tasked to guard Artemis; if a huntress were to take her place then Hyperion would quickly be defeated by the two gods.

The girls attacked him ferociously but he was too quick for them. Always a step ahead, always dodging blades and deflecting arrows. Two huntresses attacked him at a time while the other two held back, circling him like sharks as they looked for weak points to exploit. He had slowed down time but only slightly, knowing he'd have to reserve his strength.

He backed up meticulously as they advanced on him, giving them the false confidence that he was overwhelming them. Two huntresses lunged at him with their blades and he was quick to hold up his spear horizontally, catching four pairs of knives and grunting as they pressed him. He could see the other two huntresses sneaking behind him while the other archers took aim.

He remained completely still, not daring to take another step back, and smirking as the huntresses fell into his trap. The dirt beneath the two collapsed, causing them to fall into a deep pit filled with earth made spikes. Their screams were quickly cut off much to the horror of their sisters. The tarp that had covered the pit had been disguised with dirt, a trap that had been inspired by the Vietnamese.

Soterios shoved against the remaining two girls, slipping around the first one and slamming his foot into her back. She screeched as she plummeted to her death, leaving only three huntresses left. Another huntress attacked him head on, screeching in anger at the loss of her sisters. Her anger made her sloppy.

He simply sidestepped her attack and slammed his spear into her gut. An arrow flew at his face and he released his hold on his spear to jump out of the way. The dead huntress fell forward on his weapon, slumping to the ground. Soterios scowled as he danced through a multitude of arrows, jumping over one aimed at his feet before launching himself at his spear.

He landed and grabbed the neck of his weapon. With a grunt he picked his spear up with the huntress still stuck on it, and charged at the huntress shooting arrows at him. He used the corpse as a human shield, huffing at the weight of the woman stuck on his weapon. Slowing time he dared to peek past his shield, seeing the live huntress attempting to jump out of the way.

Soterios couldn't help but laugh as he changed his direction and slammed his spear into the live girl. He watched in slight fascination as the bow flew from the girl's hand and clattered to the ground, now both were stuck to his spear, and he shoved them to the ground. Leaving his weapon behind he dodged another arrow and flipped over to the bow that had landed on the ground.

Picking it up he waited until the other archer shot at him. Time slowed as he caught the arrow, he notched it, and fired it back at the huntress. It struck her right between her eyes, causing her to slump to the ground. The last huntress looked at him in slight fear and disbelief as he held the bow and looked at her expectantly. To his surprise she tossed her weapon and turned to run out of the area.

She screamed when he materialized in front of her. He grabbed her head and quickly snapped her neck before turning his attention to Thalia.

Thalia was fighting like a demon possessed. The only way she had been able to slaughter the huntresses was by disassociation. I'm just following orders. It's for the greater good. That's what she kept telling herself, so when she pierced the heart of another huntress she felt no remorse.

They were deluded by the false grandeur of the gods. I'm freeing them. It was the only way she could live with herself. She ducked as an arrow flew at her, she fired back with a lightening bolt; feeling a sick sense of wonder as the girl flew backwards, her blackened body and the smell of charred flesh was all that remained.

Her body crackled with electricity as she charged at another girl. Sidestepping the knives she grabbed the girl's arm with her free hand, squeezing as tightly as she could. The huntress shrieked in agony as electricity coursed through her veins, and Thalia tossed her corpse aside as she met another huntress head on.

Thalia vaguely noticed Bianca's army of undead fighting at her side. This proved to be a nuisance to the hunters while Bianca sneaked behind them and slit their throats or, more fittingly, stabbed them in the back.

The daughter of Zeus jumped over the arrow shot at her legs, she then swung her spear and smacked the girl in the face. The hunter's head snapped to the side and she fell unconscious, only to die by the end of Thalia's spear. A soft grunt from behind her caused her to whirl around, surprised to see Soterios had saved her from an incoming knife.

He held the huntress at bay with his own spear before shoving her backwards. The huntress flailed as she fell, only to quickly be cut down by a throw of Thalia's spear. Soterios turned to her and nodded, gold eyes shining with what looked to be mirth. They were soon replaced with anger as he shoved her to the side and smacked an arrow aside with the butt of his spear. Thalia stumbled forward, uttering a quick thanks as she grabbed her weapon.

Apollo lay defeated, shackled in special celestial bonds. The three powerful teens had easily dispatched the rest of the huntresses, all except Zoe.

Artemis's anger had caused her to regain enough strength to scream at them,"If you touch her I'll kill you!" She snarled, eyes glowing dangerously as she looked at Thalia,"I'll slit your throat! I'll feed you to my hounds!" Tears were running down her cheeks at having witnessed the battle. Watching her girls being cut down so savagely had filled her with such despair and rage.

Hyperion laughed at her threats,"Oh Artemis, how I love your fire! That's why Apollo will be taking your place when the time comes. You'll be enslaved, properly, since no lady should be holding such a weight." He mocked,"I'll put a chain around your neck. And you'll hopefully learn some humility when you serve your new ruler, Kronos!"

"I'd rather die!"

"A shame you don't have the choice." Hyperion simpered as he looked back at Zoe. Bianca made a move to kill the huntress only to be stopped by Soterios. He stood in front of the girl protectively much to everyone's surprise.

The daughter of Hades sneered at him,"I knew you were going soft." He said nothing but glared at her dangerously. She backed off, allowing him to carry the girl to Hyperion.

The titan looked at her in slight amusement,"If your plans for her actually work...I believe Atlas will thank you." Soterios nodded,"I'll be going with these two," he gestured to the unconscious Apollo and Zoe,"I'll be back later to take you and Thalia back to the base." He said knowingly before vanishing.

Bianca smirked at Soterios,"Good luck." She laughed before shadow traveling away.

Thalia looked at the boy warily. He had saved her life, but in the past he had also attacked her. He never spoke; even now he just stared at her. Rather than standing up tall with the confidence he showed before he now looked smaller. She wasn't sure if he was nervous or if the fight had just took a toll on him, but she was willing to be the latter. Soterios had fought like a demon, moving faster than the human eye could follow, so there was no chance he was nervous because of her. Right?

While he still stood with confidence she could see the way his shoulders dipped ever so slightly. His eyes flickered around her sporadically, as though he struggled to maintain eye contact. And he gently placed his spear on the ground, showing he had no desire to attack her. He looked submissive. He looked familiar.

Without a word he turned on his heel and walked away. She followed him, knowing he wanted to be out of ear shot from the raging goddess that held the sky. When they were finally no longer able to hear her screams he stopped and stared at her again.

"Are you just going to stand there?" She asked, her voice dripping with annoyance,"As fun as this staring contest is, I really need to find Perseus." Soterios stiffened for a moment before taking a step forward. Thalia raised her spear, a warning he did not heed, and he continued to approach her. Now that she could take a moment and really examine him she felt her heart crawl in her throat. His figure looked exactly like...

He stopped an arms length away from her, gold eyes staring at her imploringly. With wobbly legs she closed the gap between them, and trembling hands reached up to slide off the mask. Perseus stared back at her. His normal green eyes were replaced by gold ones and he looked at her cautiously. Thalia froze, holding his hockey mask so tightly that her knuckles were ivory.

Perseus pulled down his hood as he continued to watch her,"You fought well." He said softly, turning slowly to the massacred huntresses she had left behind.

When she didn't respond he continued,"I was afraid this would be too much for you. But you were excellent."

"How long?"

Perseus's lips twitched at her bluntness,"Since the very beginning." He paused before saying,"My mission was to get you to join us...so you must believe me when I say it wasn't my intention to fall for you the way I did." He spoke plainly, never one to sugarcoat his words,"You were such an annoyance. But you grew on me very quickly."

"Is that supposed to make me feel better!" She snarled, shoving him away from her roughly. She looked up at him through angry tears, vivid visions of malevolence filled her mind as she thought of how badly she wanted to stab him. I'm so stupid. He was playing me this whole time. Stupid stupid stupid! Athena was in on it, for how long she didn't know. But she did know that they both had manipulated her into joining the titans.

Perseus was someone she had trusted above all else. But he had lied to her the entire time they've known each other. Not only was he always a double agent, he was also the son of Kronos. She wasn't sure how that was even possible and she didn't care to know how. At the moment she was too busy trying not to cry. She had once held him in such high regard, someone she had valued above all others, but now she didn't know what to think.

She knew she wanted to be angry with him; but she had already grown so attached she wasn't sure if she could actually let him go.

Perseus quickly caught her arms as she made to shove him again,"I had hoped it would." He murmured truthfully,"I...I'm truly sorry, Thalia. I've never been good with words and-"

"But you're good at dancing around a very glaring issue!" She snapped,"I don't care about your twisted way of loving me! You lied, Percy! This entire time you lied to me!"

"I lied to save you!"

"You lied to use me! You manipulated me!"

"Maybe I did!" He roared, uncharacteristically losing his temper,"Maybe I did lie to use you. That was in the beginning, you were my mission, and I will never apologize for what I've done. I'm glad you're with me, that's the only place you should be. With me." He was breathing heavily as he fought to calm himself. Thalia ripped her arms free from him and poked him in the chest roughly.

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she shook her head,"I loved you, Percy, and you used me. I can't...I can't just ignore that." He was silent for a moment before stepping away from her. His expression was schooled to look stoic but gold eyes betrayed him. They looked shattered by her words, and they looked like if they were permitted too they would start leaking tears as well.

They had never said they loved each other. It was always implied, what with Perseus's stern rule about using such a strong term. But hearing Thalia use it was enough to nearly make him flinch. It didn't help that she used it past tense. Did she no longer love him? Had he really hurt her that badly?

"I'm sorry I hurt you." He said, gently grabbing her hand,"I'm not sorry for what I've done, but I'm truly sorry that I've caused you pain. I never wanted...this."

"Then what did you want?"

"I told you already, I want you by my side. I didn't mean to put that in jeopardy."

"So, what...you wanted some trophy wife?"

This evoked a laugh from him and he shook his head,"If I wanted a trophy wife I'd be with Silena."

Thalia cracked a smile at this but it quickly morphed into a scowl,"Well, she'll be excited to know that you'll soon be on the market again."

Perseus looked at her blankly,"If you leave me I won't find anyone else. No one else is worthy of my time. And if you really want to then...then go. Walk away and go back to Camp Halfblood." He said softly,"I won't stop you."

Dedicated to my cousin Alison. Rest easy.

Youdontseethis: We just had chicken for dinner yesterday so :P

And you saved me none? Blocked.

The Apex Predator 01: Great chapter, I love how you have Perseus fighting for the Titans, not enough stories out there like this when it's so easy to have logical reasons for hating the gods

Shucks, thanks! And yeah I remember trying to find some to read and most of them ended up with him joining the gods. I couldn't bring myself to do that because I love evil Perseus :) and the gods really suck. I mean they suck in multiple ways but that's besides the point, they're pretty terrible and I probably would have joined the Titans.
