A/N: I'm sorry it's taken me so long to update this story.

Mona had been standing by the desk while Angela argued with Tony on the phone. When Angela hung it up, Mona walked over to her.

"Angela?" Mona asked. Angela picked up her glasses off the desk and put them on.

"Yes Mother?" She asked without looking up at her. She was focusing on the file lying open on the desk.

"Maybe you shouldn't go." That statement made Angela look up at her mother and sigh.

"Not you too." Mona shook her head at Angela's complaint.

"It's not that." She sighed and sat on the edge of the desk. "Michael didn't want to be a part of your life or Jonathan's. As I recall, the only time he was there was Jonathan's conception." Angela sprinted from her chair and quickly walked towards the door of her office.

"Mother, I am not discussing Jonathan's conception with you." Mona sighed.

"Listen to me, please?" Angela turned to face her and crossed her arms. "What I mean is that Michael didn't want to be involved in your life. But now, you have a husband who loves you and wants to be involved in your pregnancy. It's his baby too." Angela sighed.

"I know that Mother, but I can't give up my job. I could lose this account if I didn't go. Do you know what would happen to the agency if I didn't go?" Angela questioned looking at her. Mona sashayed over to her.

"I'm not asking you not to go. I'm just asking you to be careful and think of Tony."

"He demanded that I not go."

"So it's something you have to talk about." Angela dropped her arms to her sides and sighed loudly as she walked back over to her desk.

"I wish I could just go and not worry about it." Mona shook her head at Angela's thought.

"But you can't. You and Tony are a team now. You have to discuss these things like a team." Mona smiled.

"You're right," Angela sighed again, "I know you're right. But sometimes he's impossible to talk to."

That night, Angela was sitting on the couch reading a book when Tony came in from the kitchen.

"I started the dishwasher." He said. She looked at him over her book and nodded.

"Thank you Tony," she put her hand in the book to hold her place and adjusted her seat on the couch, "I think we need to talk."

"What's wrong?" Tony questioned. He sat next to her on the couch. Angela shook her head.

"It's not bad; but we have to talk about my trip to California."

"Angela, I told you I didn't want you going." He said and she nodded.

"I know that. But I have to do this for my agency. I could lose the whole company if this client gets lost."

"It's not that dire Angela, you have a lot of clients!" Tony stated.

"Tony, you don't understand what one client could do for us. This is not the time for me to disregard my responsibilities." Tony shook his head.

"But you are just as responsible for a human life as you are your business." He stated.

"I'm going on that trip Tony."

"I wish you wouldn't."

"I can't send anybody else. I have to go."

"You would risk our child's life for a business trip." Angela sighed loudly.

"I'm not risking anything by going." She walked over to him, "I'm going to be fine. I promise." She kissed him gently.

"Don't think that's how you're going to win this argument." Tony stated and Angela smiled.

"Isn't how I usually win them now? You are so easy."

"Don't use that against me." He responded. Angela walked towards the stairs. "Where are you going?"

"I have to pack."

"For what?" He questioned and she stopped on the bottom step. Angela was holding onto the railing when she turned around to look at him.

"We just discussed this. I'm leaving for my trip tomorrow; I need to get everything ready." Angela quickly walked up the stairs.

"I don't know what I'm going to do Mona." Tony said sitting at the kitchen table.

"Didn't she talk to you?" Mona questioned. He got up and poured a cup of coffee. He handed it to her and then poured himself a cup. Just as he sat back down, Angela walked into the kitchen.

"Good morning Mother, Tony." She said as she walked over to the refrigerator.

"How did you sleep dear?" Mona questioned. Angela walked back over with the pitcher of orange juice.

"Not very well. My bed was lopsided last night." Angela replied shooting a glance at Tony.

"I slept wonderfully Mona. The couch was really comfortable. I forgot just how comfy it could be." Mona looked between the two of them.

"Would you both stop acting like children and just fix this?" Angela looked away as Mona spoke.

"I have a plane to catch."

"Do you want anything else?" Tony asked her. Angela shook her head.

"No, just juice and cof-" she stopped herself, "I'll be fine with orange juice." She walked around the kitchen and pulled a glass out of the cabinet and got a glass of juice. Then she put the juice back in the refrigerator and sat at the table.

"What are you going to do about the jag?" Tony questioned.

"Jonathan is driving me to the airport. He'll take it to the office and drive home." Angela replied and Mona nodded.

"We get the jag this morning?" Mona asked. "JONATHAN!" She rushed out of the kitchen. Angela finished her glass and Tony went to pick up the cup.

"I've got it." She stood up and walked over to the sink.

"How long are you going to be gone?" He asked. Angela rinsed out the glass and then held onto the side of the sink, not wanting to look at Tony.

"I don't know." She whispered. He walked over and rubbed her arm.

"I'm sorry for being stubborn. I just don't want anything to happen to you." Angela turned to him.

"I know, and I'm sorry that I have to go. I don't want to leave you; especially not like this. I don't want you to be angry with me." Tony shook his head after she finished speaking.

"I'm not upset. You win this campaign and you'll be home soon enough." Angela smiled as he spoke.

"I love you."

"I love you too." He took her hand, brushed her hair away from her face and whispered into her ear. She looked at him.

"Tony! We're in the kitchen." Angela stated.

"I know that Angela," he replied and she looked at him.

"I have to be on that plane," she said and kissed his lips firmly, passionately and quickly, "Jonathan! Let's go!" She walked into the living room and Tony watched her go.
