"I need to," Kitty took a deep breath as she pulled out a long black case from behind her hung up outfits in her closet, "I need to get back into the game if I'm to get her back."
"I'm not sure that's a good idea—" John started, but the glare from Kitty shut him right up.

"I don't see any better ideas and just because I've been out of it for a few years, doesn't mean I can't just jump back on in. I still have contact with a few….friends." Kitty had a hard look on her face as she set the case on her bed. Putting in some sort of permutation, there was a loud clicking noise and the lid popped up a little. As she opened it up, the large case revealed two 109381 handguns, one 223400 handgun, a 051509490 handgun, and one black .243 Winchester sniper rifle.

7 hours earlier

The first thing Kitty did, as any mother would've, was break down. Sherlock barely had time to catch her before she fell to the floor in distress and grief. The little girl she's tried so hard to protect…the little girl that made her dark life become so much brighter…the little girl that gave her a reason to fight against what she was raised into….was gone without a trace. Kitty pulled in on herself, hiding her face. Sherlock held onto her, rocking her a little, as he looked around the room.

"Mrs. Hudson!" Sherlock raised his voice. The landlady's steps were evident as the stairs squeaked in protest of her doing her best to hurry up the stairs.

"Sherlock, what is it?" She said as she turned the corner, but the second she saw Kitty on the ground she stopped. "What is it dear? What's wrong?" Her footsteps stopped altogether as she knelt down by Kitty's side.

"She—she's go-go—gone." Something flashed in Mrs. Hudson's eyes and she got closer.

"Here, give her to me. Go make some tea Sherlock."

"But—"

"It would be better if you called John and Greg as well. They need to get here as soon as possible." Sherlock looked at Kitty and then gently handed her off to Mrs. Hudson, who despite her leg condition, sad down on the floor and began rubbing Kitty's back.

"We'll find her Katherine, I promise." Sherlock firmly said, as if it was the surest thing ever that Claire would be found. However in Sherlock's mind, there was a slight doubt; rare, but it was there. What if he got there late? What would he tell Katherine? No, he refused to think of the what-ifs and pushed the doubts and questions out of his head. He will get Claire back. Hurrying to the kitchen, Sherlock started a pot of coffee as he whipped out his cell phone from his pocket.

To Lestrade; John:

Get here now. Emergency.

After a few seconds, Sherlock rethought it and sent another text.

To Lestrade; John:

Not THAT Emergency. Bring Molly.

Nodding to himself, Sherlock got down a mug and a packet of chamomile tea that he absolutely did not buy because it was Kitty's favorite tea. He bought it because….because he wanted to mix up his earl grey and green tea ritual. Sherlock stood there, waiting for the water to be done for a few minutes, which was enough time for John and Lestrade to come rushing in.

"What's wrong?" Were John's first words, no sign of panic in them, just a clear demand in question form. Lestrade was the first, however, to notice his partner on the floor crying with Mrs. Hudson comforting her.

"Katherine!" Lestrade took his hands out of his pockets and rushed over to her.

"Claire's gone." She managed to speak, after rubbing her eyes a little, though it didn't do much as she was still crying. Off to the side, John and Sherlock looked on. While Lestrade and Mrs. Hudson comforted Kitty, Sherlock pulled John off to the side.

"This will be more dangerous than anything before."

"On a scale of 1-10?"

"Probably a 12. Listen I need to start looking right away, I doubt we have much time." Sherlock turned to walk back to Katherine, but quickly turned back. "Oh and I would bring your gun." John was about to protest that he didn't know what Sherlock was talking about, but Sherlock was already walking away and it was probably about time he stopped denying he had it with him all the time. Shaking his head, John also walked over to Kitty.

"Kitty, I know you just lost Claire but I really need you to think about where she would be taken." Kitty was silent for a few minutes, trying to stop crying. Taking a deep breath, she leaned off of Mrs. Hudson and shook her head. She took a hair band off of her wrist and put her hair up in a neat ponytail. Ignoring everyone looking at her cautiously like she was an IED, Kitty patted down her clothes and walked into the kitchen. Pouring herself a cup of tea (she would probably have laughed at the fact that Sherlock forgot if they weren't in the situation they were now), Kitty slowly turned around to face the others, who were all standing around waiting for her to say something.

"I have an idea as to where she would be kept. It's extremely hard to find, and even harder to get in. But first," she took a sip of her tea before setting it down next to her on the counter. When she looked up, there was a flare in eyes. "I'll have to get some things first." Sherlock and John simultaneously nodded while Mrs. Hudson and Lestrade looked at each other with worry. "Mrs. Hudson," Kitty's face softened, "thank you so much for everything."

"Oh of course dear." Mrs. Hudson's eyes started tearing up. "Now go get them. I'll just stay here and keep the tea warm." Kitty smiled at the comment before turning back into her 'serious mode'.

"We need to go to my loft." She simply stated before grabbing her coat and walking out and onto the street. When she tried to hail a taxi however, they all passed her. Sherlock, the tall man that he was, seemed to have gotten a taxi right away. Kitty was hesitant going into the taxi but Lestrade put her mind to rest.

"Don't you worry; John and I can take my car." Nodding, Kitty got into the taxi, where Sherlock was already sitting. After she closed the door, she gave the address of her building.

"What are you planning?" Sherlock inquired warily.
