Chapter 7 Sara's pov

Cath looked so beautiful that morning, she looked even more beautiful when she was sat, straddling me, lips swollen, hair tousled and nervous. When she asked me if we could wait, I was almost pleased. I mean, I was extremely aroused at that moment but I knew it wasn't how I wanted our first time. I didn't want it to be a fumble on the couch. I wanted it to be special. Cath was special. I'd fallen in love with her slowly since we started to work together, and I wanted to treat her right, not like the jerks she'd dated over the years.

"Of course we can Cath, I don't want to rush any of this" She smiled at me, that beautiful smile, and gently kissed me again before sliding off my lap, grabbing her bra and shirt, replacing them.

"I should go" she muttered. I looked at her, and she looked a bit lost, unsure as to what to do with herself.
"Hey Cath?" I said softly, "if you don't need to get back for Lindsay today, would you like to stay?".

I waited for her answer, which came in the form of a kiss then a mutter of "bed?" If she hadn't already put her shirt back on I really would have jumped her. Even re-dressed I just wanted to tear her clothes off and throw her onto the bed.

I walked hand in hand with her to my bedroom. It was simple, a large wooden bed frame with cream and purple sheets. I dug around In a drawer and pulled out an oversized t-shirt for her to wear and grabbed one of my own, throwing it on to cover up the fact I was still topless. I removed my pants and climbed into the bed. Catherine moved to the en-suite bathroom and changed in there, before padding back out to my bedroom. She nervously stood at the edge of my bed for a moment before she slid in next to me. She turned on her side to face me and said quietly "thank you" "what for?" I questioned. "Just... Thank you" she replied, before closing her eyes.

When I awoke a few hours later, she was still lying there fast asleep next to me, but I could hear whimpers coming from her. She must of been having a nightmare of some sort. I moved myself and cuddled her from behind, becoming the big spoon. She relaxed herself into me, the sounds beginning to subside. I wonder how often she has nightmares like this I thought to myself. I guess with Lindsay at school there's nobody there to hear her when she cries. A while later, Catherine woke, turning slightly to meet my lips with hers. "Hey you" I whispered. "Hey" she whispered back.
We lay in bed for a while, just talking, before we got up. We had a quick bite to eat before we drove into work. Cath's mom had been collecting Lindsay from school that day.

The next couple of days sped past and the two of us were busy with work, so we didn't have a chance to see each other except in passing. It came to Friday, and we both had the night off and it was the night of our date. I hadn't stopped thinking about the date since she asked me out, and especially since the other morning at my apartment. If it was possible I'd fallen for her even more that day, seeing how vulnerable she was when she was asleep, having nightmares. She hadn't let me plan any of the date which had frustrated me, I was the butch one in this relationship, I like being the one who brings flowers and picks the lady up and pays, but she was having none of it. "I asked you out sidle, that means I plan our date"

I was nervous. Cath was due to arrive in 10 minutes and I was still stood staring into my closet. I guessed we were probably going to have a nice dinner somewhere, somewhere Cath would want to go. That meant I needed to look smart and classy. In the end, just as there was a soft knock on the door, I put on smart black jeans and a green shirt. I glanced in the mirror I don't look too bad I suppose, but Cath will look 100 times better than me, she always does because she's perfect. I wandered through and opened the door. Cath was stood there in a knee length, tight fitting, black dress. She held out a single red rose to me, and I took it, pulling her in for a kiss. "You look beautiful" I whispered to her, which made her smile slightly. "You don't look so bad yourself Sar" "thanks" I smiled at her again. I placed the rose on the table next to the door and grabbed my purse.

"Shall we?" I asked.

"Of course. Our carriage awaits"
