OK so this is the last chapter of this story. ENJOY!

Paul Holloway, previously Drevin, and his mother Annie were waiting when the plane landed, Alex had hopped over to them his leg throbbing Ben carrying a sleepy Tomas.

"Hey Al, what happened? Broken or shot?" Paul pulled him into a rough manly hug, Annie pulled him into a proper hug, then turned to Ben and her new son,

"Tomas, this is Annie, she's going to be your new family." Ben murmured in Russian,

"Petya," Tomas mumbled rubbing his eyes, "Alex," He held his arms out to the teen so Ben passed him over,

"This is Annie and Paul." Alex tried again, the five year old blinked like an owl and took in the people, he was suddenly awake,

"My new family!?" He gasped,

"If you want little one." Annie put in in Russian, Tomas leant up and whispered something in Alex's ear, he laughed lightly then winced as weight was put on his leg,

"Sure you can." He held Tomas out and Annie gathered him in her arms,

"Hey Tomas, I'm Annie, and this is Paul, do you want to go home?" She asked,

"Will you visit tomorrow?" Tomas asked looking at Alex and Ben,

"We'll visit you tomorrow in your hotel then soon when you're settled in." Alex replied exhaustion and pain getting to him,

"Hotel!" Tomas' eyes went wide,

"Yes," Paul walked away with the child talking quietly to him while his mum sorted out the logistics. Twenty minutes later they were barrelling down the motorway heading home,

"Hey Fox, we're not getting back to BB tonight so..." Eagle trailed off and raised an eyebrow, Fox turned to Alex who nodded once from his position leaning on Tamara's shoulder,

"The others can get a hotel but you can crash at mine." Fox confirmed,

"Cool." Snake called the others to tell them then the convoy of cars spilt,

"Home sweet home." Alex sighed.

"This is Fox's house." Wolf commented,

"Is it really?" Alex raised an eyebrow at his guardian,

"Well it is my house, I just don't own it." Ben helped him out the car,

"Who does?" Eagle asked confused,

"Me." Alex headed to the door and before he could reach the hidden key the door opened and arms were flung around him,

"Hey Amy. Can't- Breathe-" Alex gasped out, the girl let go like she'd had an electric shock,

"Hey Amy, can we go in?" Ben asked amused,

"Sorry." She moved out the way and they headed to the living room, Alex collapsed on the sofa waiting for the inevitable-

"ALEX!" Squeal of joy, the three SAS men jumped, Ben was too used to this, a seven year old barrelled into the living room and launched herself at Alex, quickly followed by a flustered Tom,

"Sorry!" He gasped out reaching for his sister,

"When have you apologised before?" Alex asked grinning as his best friend collapsed beside him,

"Good point, well put, what happened? Shot?" Tom noted the lack of cast,

"Yep." Alex turned to the girl on his lap, "You have grown since I last saw you!" He accused,

"You last saw me weeks ago Alex, of course I have grown," She sounded put out. Ben chuckled,

"Tom, I'll be going, we can talk tomorrow." Amy waved from the doorway giving the three SAS men a strange look then left,

"Can someone explain?" Wolf growled, Tom slowly got up,

"I'll get the drinks." He offered, "This may take a while." Ben followed him out but was waved away by Tom, a few minutes later everyone was seated with hot drinks,

"Explain." Wolf demanded,

"Wolf, Snake and Eagle," Tom nodded at each in turn, "I am Tom. Alex's best friend since the sandbox days."

"Tom, you wanted to play in the sandbox last week!" Alex retorted,

"Only because Tilly did!" Tom defended himself, "Oh, and that's my sister Tilly."

"I was a last ditch attempt to save my parents marriage." She announced, "Not that it worked at all." She added, the three SAS men blinked surprised at her bluntness.

"How do you know who we are?" Snake asked,

"Al told me, also told me that you only drank coffee and how you took it hence the drinks." Tom added answering the next question as well.

"Why are you in Fox's," Eagle stopped, "Jaguar's house." He corrected,

"He gives me a key and I live here when my parents get too much." Tom sighed, "Normally I bring Tilly as well."

"Too much?" Snake questioned,

"Divorce. Been going for years." Tilly stated flatly,

"Why?" Wolf queried, his parents had divorced but it hadn't taken that long,

"They can't spend time together in a room without throwing things at each other. They both live in the same house as neither wants to be the one to throw the other out, I spent six weeks in an empty house as they had both left, then they returned and now neither wants to leave." He groaned.

"OK, Jag, explain. How the hell are you alive?" Eagle demanded.

"When I fell off the damn I was caught by the bungee rope, I managed to get it wrapped around me, but it was an old one so when I reach the bottom of my fall it snapped, I fell to the ground but Yassen was there to help me." Alex shrugged.

"You fell off a freaking dam." Tom sounded resigned.

"Yeah." Alex replied slowly.

"Moron." Tom shoved Alex to the side chuckling, the laughter was contagious and soon everyone was in hysterics on the floor.

"I need to sleep." Ben gasped out standing,

"Same." Alex struggled to stand, Ben and Tamara pulled him up amused.

"We need to get that checked." Snake stated.

"In the morning." Alex compromised yawning and hobbling to the door. "You can pick any room that isn't already taken." He added over his shoulder. Tilly was waiting at the top of the stairs and pulled Alex to her room.

"Story time." She stated as he settled on her bed. Alex grinned and pulled out a story.

An hour later when Tamara and Ben finally got up to go to sleep Ben stuck his head around Tilly's door and smirked at both fast asleep on her bed. Ben pulled the duvet up over Alex and Tilly then flicked the light off. He slid into the bed and Tamara curled into his arms.

"It's good to be home." She smiled,

"Couldn't agree with you more." Ben mumbled half asleep.

One year later.

A blonde 17 year old waited outside Juniper Primary school an amused grin on his face, the young boy he was waiting for was sitting inside the classroom, tongue sticking out his mouth in concentration slowly writing. He took no notice of the others around him packing away and was oblivious to the man waiting to pick him up. Eventually his teacher shooed him out the door and he clambered down the steps stopping at the bottom and looking around the play area for his mum. It was clear when he had seen the blonde, as he went white then raced across the tarmac into Alex's waiting arms.

"Hello you." Alex laughed sitting the seven year old Russian boy on his shoulders.

"What are you doing here? Did mummy invite you?" Tomas asked, Alex beamed at the use of the word 'mummy' seemed his plan had worked.

"I was invited and couldn't find it within myself to decline. What have you been up to in the past ten months since I last saw you?" Alex asked laughing as Tomas went on to talk about how his 'mummy' had done this and that, and his 'big brother' had done all these things for him.

When he returned to his house later that evening K unit, Ben and Tamara were all waiting in suspense.

"So?" Eagle prompted bouncing up and down. "Are celebrations in order?" Alex thought about the way he had seen the Holloway family interact and the happiness with which Tomas spoke of them and nodded.

"Yes." Alex nodded. "Cerebrations are in order."
