Here is the spirit list for my story. I was originally going to put in a list for stationary ghosts but I think that this is more than enough. Enjoy!
Hostile Spirits:
Kappa- The ghost of an aquatic vampire yokai. Even after its exorcism during the Ceremony of Cleansing, it still wants to drink the blood of its victims or drag them down into a watery grave. In traditional Japanese folklore, they have a bizarre obsession with cucumbers.
Slashed Throat (Atsushi Hayashi)- The unfortunate soul of a young man who became the victim of the shrine's curse. He was trying to cut down the temple bell in order for it to be melted down into a cannon for the Boshin War (1868 – 1869). Angered by this sacrilege, the ghosts of the shrine possessed the man to cut his own throat. He now wanders the halls of the shrine, still in shock over his sudden passing and clutching his gashed throat and the knife that he had inadvertently killed himself with. He wants the living to know his pain.
The Gardener (Taisuke)- A former Guard that served the Watanabe Shrine. Just as he was in life, Taisuke is still very loyal to Noboru Watanabe and the shrine. He will attack anyone who dares to trespass on the holy grounds with a rusted sickle.

Rokurokubi- A demon that can stretch her neck to obscene lengths. She returned to the land of the living during the Vengeance and she resumed tormenting the living once again.
Angry Mother (Kiko Kimura)- The mother of the Kimura girls and the wife of Susumu. She and her husband were separated from their daughters during the Vengeance and were killed before they could reunite with them. As a spirit, Kiko continues the search for her children.

Big Sister (Chiyoko Kimura)- The oldest child of the Kimura family and is the older sister of Ryou Kimura. She looks out for her little sister and not even death could prevent her from keeping Ryou safe. Chiyoko is unaware that she and her sister are dead.
Little Sister (Ryou Kimura)- The youngest child of the Kimura family and the younger sister of Chiyoko Kimura. A year before her death, Ryou had lost most of her hearing to an illness and her older sister became even more protective of her. Just like her older sister, Ryou appears to be unaware of her own death.
The Soldier (Yuuta Matsushita)- A soldier who was a private in the Imperial Japanese Army during the late Taisho (1912 – 1926) and early Showa (1926 – 1989) eras. He went AWOL so he could marry the love of his life, a geisha named Momoko Kisaragi. Tragically, their runaway love would have fatal consequences for the two of them. The Skinless Man killed Yuuta and he was cursed to forever haunt the shrine, all the while lamenting on how he left her alone during their final night alive…
The Geisha (Momoko Kisaragi)- A trainee geisha (maiko) who once lived in Kyoto during the late Taisho (1912 – 1926) and early Showa (1926 – 1989) eras. She ran away from her okiya so she could marry Private Yuuta Matsushita, a soldier that she had fallen deeply in love with. Tragically, their runaway love would have fatal consequences for the two of them. After witnessing the death of her fiancé at the hands of the Skinless Man, Momoko killed herself by slitting her wrists so she wouldn't have to suffer an equally cruel fate. She now haunts the shrine eternally grieving for her lost love and falling deeper and deeper into insanity…
Past Aku-seijou- A conglomeration of the souls of Aku-seijou who had been sacrificed in past Flaying Rituals. They plead to anyone that will listen to finish the Ceremony of Cleansing so that their souls could be freed from the Vengeance.

He was among one of the first to die during the Vengeance. Hideo now wants to find his little sister and to escape the shrine. To accomplish this, he needs a pair of working eyes, will it be yours?
Broken Man (Hideki Asou)- The nephew of the esteemed folklorist and paranormal enthusiast, Kunihiko Asou. He went to Watanabe Shrine in the September of 1907 to explore and uncover its secrets. He ended up getting caught up in the never-ending nightmare there and wound up dying himself and becoming trapped in the shrine as a ghost.
Fox Masked Maiden (Masami Watanabe)- The last Fox Masked Maiden of Watanabe Shrine and she was the niece of Noboru Watanabe and the younger sister of Hideo Watanabe. She helped her uncle oversee the rituals of the shrine and was being trained into becoming the next leader of the shrine. As a ghost, she wishes to shed more blood for the Flaying Ritual, and out of pure sadism spurned on by the Pestilence that corrupts her spirit.
Gagged Woman (Nanami Inoue)- The wife of Yamato Inoue and the mother of Airi Inoue. Believing that her husband had died during a flood that destroyed the town that they lived in, Nanami and Airi then resumed their lives elsewhere and tried to move on. Two years later, she is reunited with her husband courtesy of a novice priest named Setsuna Kagome. However, since her and her daughter's presence were considered to be a risk factor to her husband's duty as an Aku-seijou, she and Airi were both brutally murdered and disposed of in the Preservation Rite. Witnessing the death of her daughter forever haunted Nanami's spirit and continued long after her own death…
Half-Skinned Man (Noboru Watanabe)- The leader of the Watanabe Shrine and also the kannushi (caretaker of the shrine and leader of Shinto rituals). He ordered the deaths of Nanami Inoue and her four year old daughter Airi because they posed a threat to the former's husband, Yamato Inoue's duty as an Aku-seijou. Out of revenge, Yamato's ghost captures Noboru and skins half of his body. Even in death, Noboru still tries to protect the gruesome secrets of the Ceremony of Cleansing and he mistakes Shuu Amakura for the "traitor" Setsuna Kagome.
Skinless Man (Yamato Inoue)- The cause of the Vengeance and the main evil ghost of Watanabe Shrine. In life, he was an Aku-seijou destined to be sacrificed in the Flaying Ritual. Being reunited with his wife and daughter, both whom he thought had died in a flood two years earlier, made him question his position as a sacrifice. In response to this, Noboru Watanabe had the woman and her child murdered. Yamato's grief and rage made him an easy target for demonic possession and this led to the Vengeance.
As a ghost, he takes out his wrath on anyone he comes across, hunting them down like wild game if they were lucky enough to escape him at first… All he wants is to bring as much pain and suffering to the living as possible...
Non-hostile Spirits:
Usagi Ishimura- A young girl who lived in Mibuzaki during the early 1890's. She was playing on a bridge when she lost her balance and fell into the river below and drowned. Ikue Asou- A descendant of Kunihiko Asou and the great-granddaughter of his nephew Hideki. She was a professor at the same university that Akio worked at and was a paranormal enthusiast. Her restless spirit motivates him to go to the Shrine of Death to solve the mystery of her great-grandfather's mysterious disappearance there.
Hachirou Watanabe- The last Betto (Buddhist monk that performed religious rites at Shinto shrines) of Watanabe Shrine and was the uncle of Noboru Watanbe. Airi Inoue- The four year old daughter of Yamato and Nanami Inoue. Even though she was only two years old when she became separated from her father during a flood, Airi still remembered him and was overjoyed to be reunited with him after so long. Tragically, this would lead to both her and her mother's deaths and, Watanabe Shrine's doom… As a ghost, she was terrified of the her parent's paranormal forms and this broke both their hearts...
White and Blue Boy (Setsuna Kagome)- A novice priest who had lived in Watanabe Shrine before the Vengeance. After encountering Nanami and Airi during a hanami festival and learning who they were, Setsuna wanted to reunite them with their husband/father Yamato Inoue. His actions led to woman and her young daughter's tragic deaths and to Yamato becoming the Skinless Man. The realization of this caused the young man to commit suicide by hanging himself. He was only fourteen years old.
What do you guys think? Spooky huh?
