Okay... onto the chapter!

Percy sighed as today was rather boring. Yui was at school as per Artemis' recommendation, and he had to return to camp, not because he had no choice rather he had nothing to do.

He walked up the hill only to see a man there, it wasn't likely a demigod as they don't get to live that long, unless you were one of the weaker ones, not to offend, but one would be Aphrodite. They typically could go unclaimed and if they were never introduced to the Greek world, live their life without ever knowing a monster was nearby, nor would monsters know a demigod was right under their noses.

His next assumption was a clear sighted mortal, but shook his head, that couldn't be right, they wouldn't be able to get to this place regardless.

When I walked up to him, I tapped his shoulder. "Pardon me asking, but who are you?"

"Ah Jack-" Chiron began before I cut him off.

"Actually I go by Percy now," Percy said with a smile which somewhat set him off since he hadn't returned to camp since before he had left to save Artemis, and by that time, was still somewhat tense when he saw Artemis after she declared she loved me. "Anyways continue."

"Right, well I see you meet our new sword instructor. I have a busy schedule with the new children trying to learn Archery, Will is helping but it is difficult to handle a mass of children." Chiron said.

He nodded, "Yes, that is true, hello there young one. I hope to teach the other demigod children here."

Percy glared but it wasn't detected. He decided to ask a few questions. "If I may ask, do you have any particular sport besides swordsmanship?"

Quintus brought his hand to his chin and thought, "Well I don't really, though I do like designing machines and trying them out."

This set something off, "Any favorite books or pieces of technology?"

"Books, hmm, well I do find architectural ones interesting, nothing specific. Machines, nothing that isn't my own to be honest."

Percy had one last question, "And what would be your dream?"

"Simply to know more is all, after all knowledge is power."

'Athena...' Percy though briefly, his suspicions did not vanish. For one, it's still unreasonable for him to be so old, second Athena, while she was goddess of warfare and wisdom, swordsman ship was not exactly one of them. Athena herself used the spear, and Annebeth used a dagger, he hadn't seen anyone else use any sword. Considering Athena was one of the more well respected goddesses as she claimed many of her children, atleast to Percy's perception, why is this one so different?

He didn't question it, he didn't want "Quintus" to leave unexpectedly, then again that would arouse even more suspicion he already has.

Percy simply walked past rudely. He never was one to trust the unknown variable.

"You think Pan, the God of the Wild, is in the Labyrinth?" Percy said looking at Annabeth. While the two were more acquaintances than anything, she regarded him as a friend if not ally.

She nodded, "It's the only place no sane satyr would ever look."

Her hoove-ed friend shoved her, "Yeah, satyr's love the wild, we don't do caves." He shivered recalling what happened not too long ago, muttering something about weddings and cyclopses.

Percy thought it over. Where would a god of the wild go, especially one that is a satyr? It wouldn't make sense... unless- "She's right."

Grover stopped and looked at the silver haired boy. "You have got to be joking right?"

"How long has Pan been missing? Why is it that they are lead on a wild goose chase? If one doesn't want to be found where do you hide?"

Annabeth sat in a thinking manner, "Pan's been missing for ages because he couldn't be found by satyr's despite their ability to get to nature... if he didn't want to be found... he'd hide where either he'd be in plain sight, but it is far too long to be possible, or... in a place hardly anyone dares to go. One is the underworld because you are more likely to make a permanent reservation than get out." She too shivered recalling her first quest. "The other is to find someplace they'd believe you would never go in eternity, the Labyrinth is a place where you are driven to insanity due to the constant changing."

The satyr nodded, "Exactly, so there is no point in going then! How do you reach a place where it changes? You start, walk down the hall, turn around and face a dead end, you walk the other way you end up in Los Angeles! Not to mention the traps it could have, it's been thousands of years, no doubt some kind of smart monster or thinking creature has made residence down there!"

"Unless you're clear sighted." Percy butted in, "The metal won't fool someone clear sighted." He said speaking from experience.

Soon their female friend connected the dots, "Then you can go with us! You're free to leave as you please couldn't you-"

"Absolutely not. While that is true, I would rather not risk my life at the moment. Just because I can see the traps, does not mean I can avoid them. Plus even if I could get around them, it doesn't mean I know where to go, how to get back, or anything of the sorts.

"Look, let's forget this talk, we have to get ready for the trining Quintus made us do." He finished.

Grover looked confused for a moment, "and, what is the training again?"

Annabeth looked at their horned friend, "Pair up, go in the forest, fight giant scorpions and survive." she answered a little miffed at how Percy responded. It was for their friend Grover! Sure Percy wasn't as well aquanted with him as she was, but still.

The two demigods walked towards the forest edge, and seeing them, their instructor gave a nod, "Five minutes, and I'll release them." They gave him a sign of acknowledgement and went on their way.

"Look, all I'm saying is Grover can use our help, your help." The gray eyed girl tried again. "I know you probably don't get it as much as he does, or as much as I want to help him, but-"

"I'm not saying I won't help, but the Labyrinth? Sorry Annabeth, but you heard him, even he won't try to go in there. Could it help him? Yes, but take things from his perspective, it's underground, nobody but few have gone in there with their sanity intact. The Labyrinth is an endless maze, that changes and moves, even if a clear sighted could get past every trap, that doesn't mean they have the ability to find nature. Face it, even if I could help, I couldn't do it on my own, neither could Grover." Percy stated finally.

She sighed at the response, "I know that! I want to help him, I've never seen him so... broken." They arrived at a clearing in the middle of the forest. "Grover's always been there for me, always boasting how he'll be the saytr to find Pan, even when he failed the first time rescuing Thalia, when he got the second chance of following you on that quest, despite the fact he knew there were monsters he was excited.

"But when we saved him from the cyclops, he wasn't as enthusiastic to find Pan, when Thalia told me how he felt drinking coffee in New Mexico of all places," at this moment Percy snickered a little, "Be serious! Anyways, I thought maybe I could help him, you and he saved Thalia, my best friend before the incident," clearly still affected by her friend turning into a tree. "I felt I should return the favor and if the chance popped up I could find out how to save Pan with him, I would go to Tartarus and back for him."

The forest was silent for a moment before he broke it, "That's pretty big coming from a girl who uses invisibility and a dagger."

"And from Grover? Who went to face one of his two... okay three, biggest fears? Fighting monsters? If Grover is willing to go save Artemis, fighting the Nemean Lion, Skeletons, flying, a dragon, and a titan? I should be able to go to the depths of the world and come back."

Percy, although silent, couldn't help but admire her determiniation to help a friend. He sighed in defeat, "Tell you what Annabeth, you find a way to convince Grover, and get us all privelage to leave, I'll go with you."

"To Hades and back?" She grinned at the victory, no matter how small.

He smirked and held his fist out, "To Hades and back." They bumped fists just as a few Giant Scorpions came into view, he nodded at Annabeth.

She put on her invisibility cap courtesy of her mom. Percy on the other hand gathered clouds in the sky and gave a feral grin. So what if it was summer? Didn't change the fact he could still make it snow. Out of the gray storm clouds came a white dragon in icy blue armor.

He jumped onto it's back and grabbed the air as he willed the water droplets in the air to change from it's gas form to solid and packing it as much as he could. Annabeth silently got on, the duo didn't seem like a good pair, afterall their parents were enemies, however that didn't mean there was any bad blood between the two.

The two were one of the most unpredictable in battle when they work together. Between instincts built over time, and textbook moves with a personal twist of throwing in invisibility and her own strategies of the land. When the two sparred it was impossible to tell who would win. Percy who learned to live on what he felt would happen, and Annabeth who predicted what would happen.

Fighting monsters together? Annabeth was the calm, and Percy was the storm.

She jumped off onto the giant scorpion, throwing it off as it couldn't tell what was on it, and since it's tail would only penetrate itself it didn't take the chance of impaling itself. Annabeth slowly crawled onto the eyes and jabbed one of them, before swiftly moving onto the next one.

While she did that, Percy jumped off Snow, who commanded it to go after the tail. The Snow Hunter himself threw ice spikes at the pincers locking them where they were. That is, before he managed to land onto it's back and added onto his weight, gravity, and the sharpness of his ice sword, needless to say it was dead before it knew what hit him.

However, what they didn't expect was another to ram itself onto Snow, who in it's shock flew back into the two. Not knowing what had occured they felt the full impact and hit Zeus' Fist. "You alright Annabeth?" He waited for a moment but didn't hear a response. "Annabeth!" Willing Snow away, the dragon was changed into individual snowflakes and was whisked away by Khione's blessing on Percy.

Eyes widened as the scorpions got closer. He saw a small puddle of water nearby and had it move onto the grass turning it to ice. Afterwards he shot forth more ice, but the recoil sent him back a tad, falling through a hole.

"What the-!" He hit the ground with a loud thud. "Ugh... gonna feel that in the morning."

"Glad you dropped in." Annabeth said with a tinge of anger as she tapped her foot.

Rubbing the back of his head, he looked to see Annabeth before looking around to the hallway they were in, or rather the dead end they were in, behind him was a wall, infront of him was Annabeth and a hall that seemed to stretch for miles, to their sides were walls with wide openings far down into the hall. Probably another path.

She thought for a moment, "Dark hallway, underground," she looked up, "Blue delta triangle, something tells me this is the Labyrinth!" She yelled excitedly, "This is perfect! We can go help Grover and, and!-"

Percy raised a hand, "Less talk more walk, come on, there's some moisture on the walls, I could probably use it to make some snow and snow travel back up to the surface, they've probably called a search party or something." The Athenian girl nodded and held his shoulder. The water on the wall raced down bellow them before it changed into fine white powder, and they fell through before falling outside of Zeus' Fist.

"Glad you could return to the land of the living." Chiron chuckled, "Now, why don't we get you to the Big House and get those wounds treated?"

They looked at each other before holding the back of their head and looked at their hands. Sure enough there was some blood on it. The two grumbled about unfair injuries and how it was the 'dumb monsters' fault'.

o0~Jack Frost~0o

After getting their heads checked, they explained what they went in. Annabeth pushed to find a way to help Grover. "Chiron please! You know how much this could mean for Grover."

"I'm sorry Annabeth, but we cannot risk for something we don't know is exactly possible. Pan could be there but we have no certainty." Chiron tried to reason, however, knowing Annabeth wouldn't give up, as Dionysus walked in Percy decided to mention what Clarisse knew.

He sighed over dramatically getting all three others' attention. "That's too bad we couldn't go in the Labyrinth and try to find Pan while taking Ariadne's string, you know the one that makes sure we can't get lost? It'd be a shame if it got into the wrong hands."

It took exactly three seconds to realize what he was implying. The Labyrinth had tons of entrances and exits, it was also very easy to get lost, however with someone clear sighted it was possible to evade traps, but who knows if the traps are repeated? Then it would be impossible for you to not realize you could walk into a new or old passage. With the string, everyone could easily follow it to where they had to go.

However, they knew there was one way into the camp now, if Kronos' side got the string, they would be able to send an endless wave of enemies into their borders with the barrier in place.

Dionysus paled at the thought of it, "I'll go inform father immediately," he then turned to Chiron, "Give Annabell a quest, immediately."

Chiron let out a breath of air, having to give up himself knowing the two were right. "Very well."

Annabeth, despite her mistaken name, again, beamed at the prospect of helping the Satyr. She saw Percy's smirk and nudged him.

The centaur trotted forward before putting a hand on the girls shoulder, "Annabeth, I'll let you go on this quest, but... be careful alright?"

She grinned, "Of course."

However, little did she know, it wasn't going to be as good as she thought.

Percy walked up to her and smiled, "I'll go get Grover, see you at the tree?" She nodded.

o0~Jack Frost~0o

"How was it my dear?" Chiron asked the girl he had seen grow up.

She was silent a little too silent for their liking. "Is everything alright Annabeth?" Grover asked.

"Y-...Yeah..."

Chiron nodded but watched her with a weary eye, "What was the prophecy?

With a shaky breath she attempted to steel her nerves, "You shall delve... in the darkness of the endless maze."

They grinned, step one complete, I suppose. Percy thought to himself.

"The dead, the traitor... and the lost one raise."

Immediately Percy went back to Nico, the lost one raise? He hoped this was Nico.

"You shall rise or fall by the ghost kings hand." That's... not so good.

"The childof Athena's final stand." And that was worse.

"Destroy with a hero's final breath." After that she stopped.

Chiron raised a brow, typically each line had a rhyme, but to not? She was hiding something. "Is that all?"

"Y, yes." She said. Despite this, Chiron nodded.

The horse-man hybrid then asked, "Who shall you bring?"

"Percy, Grover... and Tyson."

This was a bombshell just waiting to happen. "Are you certain, Annabeth? To go on a quest with more than three is a big risk. Three is a very important number in our history, three main gods and goddesses, three fates, three heads of Cerberus, three kindly ones, three gorgons, three-"

"Yes yes I know! But I am certain of this."

Percy was a tad livid at this, a monster? On a quest? To help them? This goes against what he lived with, not to mention Grover is scared of monsters?! However, he didn't know this, but it was a percaution to her, it was a huge risk but it might have reaped a better reward.

For the last line to the prophecy, was And lose a love, to a fate worse, than death.

o0~Jack Frost~0o

The two demigods, saytr, and monster were at the bottom of the labyrinth entrance. Percy was upset, Grover was frightened, two fears at once, Annabeth was worried, and Tyson? Well... considering he was a baby cyclops he wasn't sure what was going on.

"Go ahead, I have to make a few IMs." Percy said keeping a wary eye on the cyclops. They nodded and began to walk forward, "Hold on, Annabeth, catch." He tossed her an ice crystal. "It's easier for me to find you if you have something cold with you." She smiled and waved.

After that he turned to face the dead end. Willing a light rainfall and letting the only bit of light cause the barest of rainbows. "Oh, Iris, Goddess of rainbows, please accept my offerings and show me, Artemis."

A few moments later and Artemis appeared, apparently they were having breakfast. "Percy!" At the mention of his name just about all the hunters, including Yui, whom Artemis was watching, came around to her. "What are you calling for?"

"Another quest, Annabeth, Athena's daughter, decided to bring me, the satyr that brought her, Grover, and one other." She was slightly confused considering he named everyone but the last one. Truthfully Percy just didn't want to consider the being with them a team member. "I just wanted to let you know I probably won't be back for a while, I'll try to call every now and then, oh and Yui?"

The raven haired girl looked at her father with a small grin. "Don't you cause Artemis any trouble, okay?" She stuck her tongue out with a mock salute. Percy laughed at her response. "I'll talk to you later Artemis, by now, Annabeth is either freaking out at an intersection, found a spider and is hiding behind Grover, or tapping her foot annoyed at me."

"Okay, but if you don't come back I swear on my father's name I'll kill you." She said with narrowed eyes before sharing a laugh.

"Yeah, yeah." He smiled and waved his hand through the IM before dropping the rain cloud.

Now of the three options which was more likely?

Spiders? Yes, but highly improbable. Impatient? Maybe. Freaking out? Possibly...

"Where are the riddles?! What goes up but never down, starts with four legs, grows up with two and later three? Throw away the outside eat the inside, eat the outside throw away the inside?!" He heard a particular brainiac yell.

As he walked towards the voice he witnessed the Sphynx and Annabeth having an argument. "You already know all those, what's the point."

"Why I oughta!" Before Annabeth could react Percy shot out with several icicles pinning the Sphynx to the wall.

He leaped forward and had ice form onto his hand giving him a claw like appearance. "Listen here and listen well, I just got to camp, had Annabeth get us a quest, and now we are trying to stop Kronos' army from getting into camp, as well as finding out if Pan is in here. As you can probably tell I am not a happy camper right now." He said probing at his ice claws as though he were cleaning them. "If I were you, I'd suggest you let us go."

The hybrid monster growled before Percy lowered his head and quickly jabbed his claws into the wall and ripped a chunk the size of the Sphyx's head, and crushed it into dust. "I'm sorry... what was that?"

The creature knew when it was defeated and the door opened.

"Thank you," He said before slamming it's head into the wall, "Wouldn't want you going back on your word now would we? Let's go."

As the four walked Annabeth was still grumbling about being cheated from her riddles. "I would have solved them."

He sighed, "The point of this quest was not to satisfy your desire of knowledge, Annabeth, argue about it later, maybe as a reward you could ask your mother for a book of the most difficult riddles mortals have ever tried solving."

She pouted, "I still could have solved them..." That is before she turned her head, "So... who did you call?"

"Hmm? Just someone to keep Yui under control." He said not revealing he was with Artemis.

"That little girl you met?" Grover asked knowing the story.

He nodded, "Wouldn't want her powers to get shown to the public after all."

"Eh? What powers?" Annabeth asked.

He stretched a bit, "Oh just a blessing is all. Anyways let's just keep going." With that the two demigods, satyr and monster walked further into the depths of the Labyrinth.

o0~Jack Frost~0o

An hour had gone by before they reached yet another room. As Percy was in the lead he held his arm out, preventing the rest from entering, he moved his hand up to his lips and held up a finger.

They all scooted just a bit further in the space only to see what appeared to be a prison cell. "Where are we?" Grover whispered.

Percy looked around, "Salty air...," looking outside he could barely make out the shadows of a bridge and a city, "Bridge... city... Alcatraz Island, San Francisco. What do you say Annabeth?"

She thought about it before looking herself, "Two supports, suspensions, fogs... yep, Alcatraz Island." She looks around and sees some black spots and trails on the ground, "Dried blood, no doubt. Yeah, this is Alcatraz."

"We better move, just enough so we can have space." Percy said as they moved towards the catwalk, but as he did he heard a cry of pain, before hearing a voice call out.

"This is your one, final chance, you can either submit to the side of Kronos, or we can kill you and let you fade with your brothers. But do not think I will show mercy to someone pathetic like you, no you shall fade slowly, so long it seems like eternity, but the pain will be very much real, crushing each and every limb you have. I will give you time to... consider, the offer." The voice hissed before leaving.

The group moved forward to see a massive being with many arms. "Briares..." The cyclops in the group said.

Grover, the ever so observant fellow responded with, "...who?"

Tyson turned to face them, "Briares, the hundred handed one, he is my hero. He really strong!"

The cold persona of Jack Frost returned to Percy for a moment, "So what? He's got forty nine more pairs of arms, that doesn't exactly help."

He shook his head, "Briares, is super strong! Briares fought Ch... Kr... Kro..nos... Kronos! Briares fought Kronos in old days, they brothers."

Annabeth shook her head, silently regretting picking such an illiterate into her group. "Can we get going? This isn't helping us."

"No! Must help Briares, he help us!" Tyson bellowed before the ground shook slightly. "Oh... Tyson thinks Tyson too loud.."

Percy gave a narrowed glare at him, "Let's go." He jumped off the catwalk and onto the first floor. "You're Briares right?"

The man of hundred hands looked up, "I am... who are you?"

"Perseus Jackson, son of Poseidon, the Cyclops wants to help you... escape." He said with a little disgust towards the word Cyclops.

"I cannot escape, Kampe is just... far too terrible, if I escape the torment shall be worse." He said mournfully.

Percy knew this would happen, "There, can we go now?" While if it had been any other request he would be fine, but he doesn't exactly like nor trust Tyson, the Hundred Handed One doesn't want to be saved, why stop?

"No must help!" Tyson argued back. "Any way you help?" Tyson asked the man.

"Heh, I'd be surprised if you could, but I suppose if you could defeat me in rock paper scissors." They all, bar Tyson, sweat dropped at this, such a simple game to help? "Of course, I shall use all my hands." He said raising a third of each.

Percy sighed before glaring at Tyson, "If he doesn't help, you are so dead." he muttered. "Fine I'll accept your ridiculous challenge."

"Very well, on three?" He nodded in response, "Three... two... one!" With that he raised once again a third of each.

However, Percy raised his hand in the form of a gun. "I win."

"What is that?"

"A gun. If you say a rock can beat a gun, I'll shoot it to pebbles, if you say a paper can shield you, I will tear it apart, if you even dare believe scissors can cut a bullet, you'll certainly die." He said tired of this unbelievable game.

"Lies! This is not conventional!"

With that Percy snapped his fingers and sat down on a throne of ice once more. Three giant fists of ice came out, one in the shape of a fist, a palm stretched out, and two fingers separated. "Then how about a giant rock, paper, and scissors?"

Briares knew when to admit defeat, and even with a hundred hands, you cannot exactly go against three giant hands, let alone one of them!

"V-very well... I shall leave, but I will not help, nor shall I aide the other side."

"Why?" Tyson asked confused.

"I had lost my brothers due to the years, I simply am waiting for my time." He replied as he walked out of the prison.

Percy sighed, and thought to himself, he definitely needed to stay on a call with Artemis more often and longer.

Sorry for the long wait, I wasn't sure how this chapter would go but I hope you like it.

I was wondering, "What should I do for my birthday." Well, I'm 16 now, I decided, I'm fairly old enough to be more mature about things, I mean I don't even like that many childish things, for heaven sake I read during 90% of my free time. Name some kid that reads 90% of their free time, sometimes I do it when I don't even have free time, I just want to relax!

So I decided, it's time to update Jack Frost.

I hope you enjoy my reverse birthday gift to all you!
