Once upon a time there was a small twoleg town surrounded by a wild and untamed wood. in this town there lived a beautiful kittypet named Cinder, A farm cat named Jack, and the baker's cat and his mate.
Cinder's mother had died when she was a Kit leaving her father to care for her. Her father was a loner who didn't know how to raise a kit by himself so he traveled around the twolegplace they lived in until he found a pair of twolegs who would take them in. Unfortunately the twolegs already had three cats. A she-cat named Duchess and her two kits Flori and Luci. The three of them have treated Cinder like a slave ever since. it didn't help much when cinder's father took Duchess for his new mate.
Jack had no father but he did have a mother. When he was just a kit his father had left them. since then they have been barely living off the rats in the barn drinking the milk from the farmers cow. But recently the cow had been slowly going dry.
The baker's cat had no mother or father. He belived they had both been killed in a baking accident. Because of this he was eager to start a family and was sad that all attempts until now had failed.
Now the mayor had a cat named King who had two sons Charming and Valor. King was throwing a festival of sorts and Cinder longed to go with her Stepmother and the day of the festival she told Duchess"I wish to go to the festival." This earned only mrrows of laughter "The festival, you wish to go to the festival?" Flori tittered. "Darling your nails, your fur. you aren't fit to go to the festival." Duchess told her. "you'd make us the fools of the festival." she ccontinued. "And mortify the prince" Luci added. And with that all three padded away.
As for Jack. Jack was sitting in the middle of the cowpen with his pet rabbit Snowfall. they were standing under the farmers best milker Daisy. "Squeeze pal" he told her. "You have to squeeze for the milk to come out." "Jaaaaaaccckkk!" Jack spun around quickly squeezing himself through the fence that surrounded the pen. But it was too late he had been spotted. His mother was a formidable looking cat with wiry gray fur who if it hadn't been for hunger would have been very plump. she didn't approve of many things such as keeping a mouse as a pet. "Jack why were you in that pen agian I told you its no use she's gone dry." Jack shuffled his paws. his mother stared at him suspicously "Are you hiding something Jack?" He mumbled something and shuffled his paws agian. "Its that rabbit agian isn't it I told you i didn't want to see her agian!" her voice was rising now. "get it out of here kill it and then go trade it for some squirrels or something. I dont wan't my son to have a rabbit as a PET" Jack frowned "but mother." "no buts out you go out into the woods"
