"Roy!" Oliver growled through the voice scrambler. The kid's eyes snapped to the older man's, looking around his old red hoodie seen as his new one was currently in Thea's possession. "Head in the game or I'm sending you home." His voice rumbled with daring conviction.

"I'm fine." Roy snarled back. "You see the guy anywhere?" he asked when Oliver continued to glare skeptically. "Didn't Blondie say he was heading to platform five?"

"I dye it." Felicity chimed in through the boys' comms, sounding distracted over the sound of her fingers tapping on the keys. "Sit still baby, I'm trying to help daddy." Oliver cracked a grin as he heard her chastise their son. "Connor." She sighed. "Go pick up your dad's tennis balls." He heard her suggest. Roy shifted on their perch, hardly batting an eyelid as he stayed quiet. Almost like he was zoning out…

"Roy." Oliver muttered sharply under his breath. The kid's posture stiffened and he was almost instantly alert again. "Roy's going to check out soon, Felicity." Oliver warned. "Where is he?"

"Thank you Connor." He heard her whisper to the toddler. "Leave Auntie alone. No, baby I know what Uncle Roy said but let her sleep. Good boy."

"Felicity." Oliver drew her name out. She growled in frustration and Oliver could imagine the expression on her face.

"He's passing the fourth platform, should be just under your location right about-," Felicity hummed the last word, drawing it out.

"I see him." Oliver interrupted, raising his already knocked bow.

"Shoot straight." Felicity whispered quietly, tightening her grip on her fidgeting son. When she heard the tell of his even breathing on the other line, she slumped back in her chair and massaged her finger tips into her forehead. Then she heard his muffled curse and grunt of pain and straightened up so quickly that Connor nearly fell off her lap. "Oliver?" she called when his breathing picked up to a faster pace that she had learned meant he was trying to keep the pain under control.

Oliver could hear Felicity calling his name but was too preoccupied digging the electrode bullet out of his chest to reply. It hadn't gone deep, but it was still electrocuting him and would continue to do so until he got it out. Roy wasted no time jumping from the rafters and chasing after the bolting criminal, miniature crossbow hidden in his sleeve as he weaved through the crowded train station.

"Fine, fine, I'm fine." He muttered into the comm. when he heard both Connor and Felicity crying.

"Oh thank God." Felicity gasped before she proceeded to shush her panicked son.

"Roy is in pursuit. Not sure the kid can hold up in hand to hand right now. You have a visual?" he asked lowly.

"No," Felicity answered. "Yes," she amended, voice hoarse. "I don't know…Oliver…Connor, honey, it's okay. Daddy's okay. I know. I'm sorry I made you scared baby. Shh." She murmured.

"It's alright. I'll handle it. Put me on speaker." He instructed, grunting as he swung from rafter to rafter, keeping an eye out for the flash of red that was his partner.

"Oliver," she warned. They had a rule. No contact with Connor during missions. Oliver got distracted by him too easily.

"Do it." He repeated. She sighed and tapped a few keys to get the communication on speaker.

"Daddy," Connor whimpered questioningly.

"Yeah, it's me, hey bud." He grunted as his palms slammed into another rafter and sweat dripped into his eyes.

"You o'tay daddy? I tot you were hurt. Mumma cried." He sniffled. "But I wadn't scared." He insisted. Oliver gave a laugh that came out a little more harsh than he meant when the force of his body hitting the ground forced it out of his chest.

"I know you weren't Connor." Oliver answered, scanning the immediate area for the red hoodie he swore he'd seen just a second ago.

"Is his comm. down?" Oliver asked, brow furrowed.

"Looks like it. I don't like this. Find him. I'm scanning cameras now."

"Auntie Tia iss still s'eeping." Connor chimed in.

"That's a good thing right now, little man." Oliver answered absentmindedly.

"Why?" Connor hummed curiously.

"Because – Felicity I found him." He said abruptly, catching sight of the young man hunched over against the wall, people crowding around him. "Saphires shocked him out. Tried the same with me. Voltage didn't take. Can't say the same for him. Someone's probably already called an ambulance."

"Wass an am'boo'ents?" Oliver heard Connor's attempt at whispering the question to Felicity.

"On it." Felicity replied a little louder than her son.

Oliver tugged his hood down further over his face and stuck to the shadows, closely monitoring Roy as the people fussed around him. Ten minutes found Oliver watching the 'EMTs' rush forward towards the kid. Naomi and Jax loaded him onto a stretcher and Oliver waited until Felicity gave him the go ahead that Butch had driven them off.

The benefit of having allies who worked in a hospital.

Oliver arrived at the Arrow Cave shortly after Jax, Naomi and Butch did, carrying Roy inside and dumping him rather unceremoniously on the table.

"Thank you." Oliver nodded at the three people who were standing rather stiffly.

"Our boss is gonna be pissed we blew work." Jax grumbled, crossing his arms. Butch grunted in agreement and kept his arms linked together behind his back. Naomi just nodded at Oliver.

"Score is settled." She said quietly before turning sharply on her heel and walking out the door, Butch and Jax hot on her heels.

"Oliver," Felicity called warningly, glancing at Thea who was slowly starting to wake up while Roy was still out cold.

"Thea," he murmured, absentmindedly lifting Connor into his arms when the little boy barreled into him rather excitedly. Thea's eyes fluttered open and she sat up slowly, stretching her arms behind her back before dropping her hands back to her stomach without even seeming to notice she had done so. "Before you panic Speedy," he started calmly, subconsciously rubbing Connor's back with his scarred hands. "Roy is…" she gasped and widened her eyes when she saw him on the table for the second time that weak. "Roy is fine!" Oliver interjected quickly as she stood. "He's just knocked out. He'll wake up. He'll be fine when he does." Oliver said slowly. Thea nodded quickly and brushed past her brother, making her way to Roy's side. Oliver sighed and made his way over to Felicity's chair where she was rapidly typing at the keyboard. She paused momentarily when the hand of his that wasn't occupied by the fidgeting three year old came down on her shoulder before she resumed her previous actions.

"Felicity. Leave it. There's nothing we can do about Sapphires tonight." He whispered. She sighed and hung her head, powering down her computer before standing and burrowing herself into Oliver's side.

Connor was asleep by the time they reached the mansion. And Oliver carried him inside, Felicity trailing behind him tiredly.

"I can put him in bed while you shower." She offered. Oliver just smiled at her and shook his head slightly.

"I'd like to if that's alright." He replied. She nodded and stretched up onto her toes to kiss his cheek before walking down the hall to their room.

Oliver tried to keep his steps as even as possible as he carried Connor to his green-decorated room. The boy woke up in spite of his dad's efforts and yawned sleepily, snuggling closer to his dad's chest.

"Can I have my story, daddy?" he mumbled sleepily. Oliver hummed an affirmative answer and sat Connor down on his toddler bed, moving over to his dresser to find a set of pajamas that he wrestled his son into. Connor swayed where he sat and Oliver tucked him under the covers, pushing his blonde curls out of his eyes. By the time Oliver had picked out a book for his three year old, Connor was already asleep again and Oliver grinned in adoration. Connor looked so much like Felicity despite what she claimed about his looking like his daddy. "Ny-night daddy." Connor mumbled, reaching upwards, half asleep to pull off his dad's mask. "Luhyoo." He yawned, curling on his side with Oliver's mask clutched to his chest.

"Love you more, bud." Oliver grinned, kissing his son's forehead before switching off the lights and making his way down the hall to his and Felicity's room.
