You Are Mine- Your Not Capable

It all didn't make any sense Soul thought to himself as he carried Maka on his shoulders towards Kidd's car. What the hell is happening? Liz and Patty carefully helped Soul place Maka in the middle of the car, Liz carefully stepped over her being on the left side while Soul and Patty remained on the right side of Maka.

Blackstar looked in the back seat and stared at the sleeping Maka. He only hoped that she was sleeping and wasn't dead or that would become a problem.

"Make sure your all buckled and sitting up straight, I don't wanna be responsible for whoever is dumb enough not to follow my instructions.." Kidd murmured glancing in Blackstars direction briefly before he started the engine.

Liz only rolled her eyes at Kidd's mini lecture before glancing over to Soul, but he wasn't making any eye contact with her at all. He only leaned towards the car door looking out the window almost as if he was in a daze, Maka sleeping soundly on his chest Liz could only imagine what Soul was feeling right now.

She felt bad for him and Liz wasn't going to deny when she thinks about everything that recently happened it still bothered her. The vision of Maka screaming and threatening to take her and Patty's life really gotten her shaken up inside for two good reasons, one being that it was completely out of character and two being it was Maka.

Kidd slowly made his way towards Steins house. Soul looked a bit impatient, he was ready to get out of the car. Blackstar wouldn't shut up about how slow Kidd was driving and it didn't make anything better when Kidd would retort back with a cocky comment on how it was only right to follow the speed limit and to do it with caution.

Maka's life could be in danger and all they were caring about it the rules of the road! Soul thought to himself, but he wasn't going to say it out loud. He wasn't to static about arguing it would only make things go much slower.

The car came to a complete stop in front of a familiar laboratory it never seems to get old. Gray and dull surroundings. Patty was the first to hop out of the car and Liz followed soon after she did. Kidd stopped the engine and made his way out of the car. Meanwhile Blackstar was assisting with getting Maka out of the car.

It looked like her condition was worsening, she looked worst than she did twenty minutes ago. Her creamy colored skin tone seemed to get pale and lighter than it was supposed to look. Maka's once strong moving body was now lifeless and practically doll like. You could move her arms and legs yourself almost like she was a puppet to your every command.

Soul carefully slung Maka's small body over his shoulder and followed his friends to the door way. Blackstar was in front of the group so he took the chance to ring the door bell. They all fell silent for a moment, a small screech came from Liz when a mouse appeared and scattered off just as quickly.

Patty couldn't help to laugh and Kidd only shook his head and sighed. Blackstar didn't like the silence as much so he took it upon himself to ring the doorbell again.

"Is Stein even home?" Liz asked breaking the silence before looking at Kidd who only shrugged his shoulders.

"I would of assumed that he would be, it's not like Stein to go out often. He usually hangs out here in his lab most of the time." Kidd explained.

Blackstar groaned at the time lost they practically came all the was here for nothing. Soul was irritated and worried about the state of his meister. They didn't have the time to sit there and wait until Stein returned. They yet know what's wrong with Maka and let it be dammed if they think they are just going to sit here to see what happens next/

"We cant just sit here and do nothing…we need to find Stein now. He couldn't of went far he is around here somewhere." Soul said, looking at Kidd.

Kidd nodded his head slowly. Liz didn't know if anyone else noticed Soul's sudden change in attitude. He practically went from calm to completely unsatisfied of the results.

"I understand where your coming from Soul, and we are going to do something about it so don't worry." Kidd said, looking at Soul and then glanced at Maka before rubbing his forehead thinking of a plan.

"I have an idea!" Patty said suddenly capturing everyone else's attention."Why don't we call Stein on his phone! Maybe he will answer?" She asked, tapping her chin with the pointer finger.

Blackstar looked at Kidd who nodded in a agreement with patty's plan to call Stein instead. He pulled out his phone which had a design of black and white symmetrical pattern all over it before dialing his number.

Soul carefully removed Maka from his back and helped her stand up. He knew she couldn't stand o n her own so he placed one hand around her waist and flung her arm over his neck. He glanced at her before looking away, his silver bangs covering his face.

Blackstar walked over toward Soul, which caused him to look up only to see Blackstar grinning right at him. He placed a hand on Soul's shoulder and smiled the biggest smile he could smile.

"I know how ya feel man, but don't give up on her just yet you and I both know this stubborn bitch is gonna pull through." He smirked.

Liz nodded her head in agreement."Yeah Soul, if we all know Maka we know that she's a strong person. We will figure this out were not going to give up on her." She smiled, walking over and placing a hand on his other shoulder.

"Maka-Chan is a strong brave person! She will be alright!" Patty cheered and encouraged. Soul sighed, but he nodded his head meekly and stayed silent.

Inside he was sure that Patty was right Maka was a strong willed person, she was always ready to fight back and would stop at nothing until she had won the battle. The thing that scared him was that, this battle was one Maka was loosing. He never doubted her this much before, but he sure in hell was worried about her well being. Would she eventually pull through? Or Will this thing take her away from them forever...

"Hello Stein?" Kidd asked into the phone making sure it was him who picked up."Yes, we have a bit of a situation..well more like an emergency. If you don't mind reporting back here as soon as possible?" Kidd asked. The rest watched the conversation go on for about another five minutes, once Kidd finally hung up a smile was placed on his face." He will be here shortly he said." Kidd told them.

"What seems to be going on here?" A familiar voice said. Liz screamed from he top of her lungs, everyone turned around facing the person talking. It was Stein, they all looked at the Professor and twitched. How the hell did he get here so fast?

Three hours passed and Stein finally came from out of the room he was keeping Maka. Soul looked up only to see Stein giving him a concerned look, Stein glanced around the room only to find the rest sound asleep. He waved Soul to follow him into the next room, slowly nodding his head he followed him in to the back of the room quietly trying not to wake up everyone.

Maka laid peacefully on the bed in front of him, he skin looked like is was getting some color back to it. Soul only let out a small sigh was he watched her sleep.

"Good news and a bad news, good news is nothing was harmed she seems fine. Bad news is I'm not sure what happened can be relevant to this situation." Stein said looking at Maka. Soul nodded his head slowly he wasn't going to say that he disagreed with Stein because he didn't disagree with him at all, he wanted to know what the fuck was happening to his miester more than anyone else did. He only knows up to now that she was acting like a complete person lately, tried to harm their friends, and is keeping stuff from him.

"I would just let her rest for now, she should go back to being herself when she wakes up. I suggest a word of advice Soul, keep a close eye on her because I have to look into this more." He said in a low tone before leaving the room without another word. The words that Stein just spoke sank into his head. He had to watch over her, he had no idea what has gotten into her lately but he sure didn't want to know all that quick if she was capable of pulling a stunt like that again.

"Yeah, I'll watch her don't worry."

The words Soul said felt like he was chewing on nails. It was hard to say it...don't worry? There is lots to be worried about, the fact that Maka could possibly take a life? Oh, that's right don't worry. Stein gave Soul a small smile as he looked back at the sleeping Maka. The sound of the door creaked opened causing them to turn in that direction. Kidd appeared, looking to Soul, to Stein and lastly Maka.

"How's she doing?" He questioned crossing his arms as he looked at her small sleeping figure.

"Surprising fine I must say, whatever caused her to act like that is unknown at this point." He sighed, walking over towards his computer before typing up something on a word document. Soul gazed at Maka and frowned he only wished that they could figure out what was causing all of this to happen. The longer they wait the worst Soul imagined she was going be left off.

Kidd placed a hand on soul's shoulder giving him a small smile."She's gonna fight it Soul, you know this just as well as I and the others do. Maka is a strong girl." He finished patting him on the shoulder and leaving silently so he wouldn't wake up Maka.

Stein finished up and turned towards Soul smirking and nodded his head, Soul only raised a brow not sure what he was smirking about.

"What?"

"Stop worrying, it's bad for your health." He mentioned with a small tease hoping to light up the conversation."Let her rest a bit, I must go find Marie and talk to her about this. When she wakes up you are free to take her home, but be sure to keep a close eye on her." He reminded once more, leaving before Soul got the chance to say anything to him. Pulling up a chair he sat right beside her just watching her as she slept peacefully.

Soul shook his head and sighed, slowly placing his hand on her cheek."You? Capable of killing someone? It's not in your blood and you know it Maka. Don't give in before you even start fighting." He muttered gazing at her.

"Soul..."

Soul looked up and noticed that Liz was looking in by the door, all her focus was on his hand that was on Maka's cheek. He noticed she was watching him and coughed slightly, slowly placing his hand to his lap.

"Yeah?"

"Kidd, Patty and the rest of us are heading home. You ready?" She asked, walking up towards him and Maka who was still sound asleep. Soul nodded his head slowly."Ya know, if you need help carrying Maka to the car I'm sure Kidd and Blackstar will be more than happy to help you out." She insisted with a small smile. Soul only shook his head, getting out of his seat before gathering Maka into his arms.

"Don't worry, I can handle her myself." He told her plainly and walked right pass Liz and the others and straight for the car without another word, Kidd looked at Liz who only shrugged in response as they all gathered in the car and headed home.

It was about 9:30 in the morning and everything seemed blank to her. She couldn't remember a single thing, and the things she could remember she only thought of as a silly dream. Maka slowly picked her head up and gazed around, her vision still blurry. She could hear the sound of pots and pans in the next room over, but she just decided not to worry about it and focus on one thing at a time. First thing being, what they hell went on last night?

"It's good to see you've finally woken up.."

She titled her head up slightly, but not all the way considering her neck still hurt. She looked at Soul who was staring at her, while he leaned in her bedroom doorway. She nodded her head before laying it back down on her pillow, gazing up at the plain white ceiling still in thought. She was so out of it she didn't even hear Soul walk from the doorway to the side of her bed.

"What happened to me Soul?" She muttered, turning her head slightly to look at him, but he was avoiding eye contact. She narrowed her eyes, trying to use her full strength to sit up and look at him."Answer me." She said under her breath.

"Maka. I don't wanna talk about it..."

"AND WHY NOT!" She screamed catching his full attention. She was breathing faster than she was before, he breaths were hitched, her eyes started to fill with tears. She was scared, she wanted to know what was going on. Why wouldn't her tell her? It frustrated her even more that he refused not to talk about it, but at that moment she didn't really care what he wanted to do.

She placed her gaze on her hands." And why not? Why hide something that I deserve to know Soul..." She growled putting her full attention on him, his ruby colored eyes flickering from side to side trying his best to avoid her gaze. Soul walked over by the wall and leaned against it, bangs completely covering his face.

"Somethings...are better when they are to be left alone." He grumbled.

"You truly are an idiot Soul, I'm not sure what happened to me last night, the memories are still very unclear. But what I do know now, is that you know more than I do. I'm not asking for much, I wish to know what happened." She said, wiping away some of her tears. He could feel his heart ripping apart, he couldn't tell Maka what happened. If she was to find out it wouldn't end well and things will just escalate from there. Still silent he decided not to say anything back, for her sake.

Maka nodded her head. She understood that his decision not to tell her was final, she slowly made her way out of bed and towards the door. Soul watched her for a moment wondering what she was doing. Pausing at the door she took in a nice deep breath looking right at Soul before turning her head around again she began to mutter.

"You can't keep this from me, don't protect me from the truth Soul. It's better that I know." She said, slamming the door behind her. Soul only stood frozen for a while to gather his thoughts.

He knows she's right.

Blackstar: Pfft, So he thinks.
