The sun shined through the trees as the forest area was peaceful. The group of digidestined were asleep around the dead campfire they had built last night. Davis was the first to wake up as the sun would shine into his face every now and then. The tree tops swayed in the breeze blocking the sunlight every few seconds. Davis mumbled as he woke up, groaned as he looked around at the campsite. He got up quietly, slowly making his way through the sleeping campsite. Cody was sound asleep, surrounded by the digimon. Yolei and Ken were sleeping close to each other across from Cody. He noticed Kari with her head laying on TK's good shoulder, and her right arm draped across him; TK slept soundly with a smile across his face.
"Those two." Davis said quietly as he smiled walking by them. He wandered over the stream near the campsite and splashed water on his face. The cool water felt refreshing as took in the beauty of the area. He had not had the time to take in how tranquil the new digital world was. He looked back down at his reflection in the water, it rippled a little as he continued to look at it.
"Huh?" Davis said as he watched the ripple of the water grow and become choppier. Davis looked up and saw a tree on the other side of the stream bank fall. Davis saw the top of a digimon's head. Davis got up and ran quickly back to the campsite to warn the others.
"Guys….guys wake up." Davis said as he rushed back and grabbed Ken shaking him awake.
"Davis what is it?" Ken said as he woke. The others overhearing the commotion woke up as well.
"Quickly and quietly gather what we have and move. I think TyrantKabuterimon found our area." Davis said. The group quickly rushed around, trying to cover the evidence that they were in the area. A booming footstep was heard in the near distance as the group hid behind some brush.
Davis was peering through a bush at the next target. The towering behemoth that was TyrantKabuterimon. The giant walked through his realm looking for the digidestined, the ground had a small tremble with each step he took. Davis could see TK and the others on the other side of the trail TyrantKabuterimon was walking on. Davis quietly made hand gestures and signals to signal his intentions. TK and Yolei both looked at Davis as he flailed about; the two looked at each other confused and then back at Davis. He started to do the gestures more slowly, but before he finished his D-Terminal went off.
Why don't you just send a message on this? - Yolei
I'm telling you to stand by and wait for my signal. Davis replied. Yolei and TK watched as Davis and Veemon walked out into the open, neither really looked excited about what they were going to do.
"HEY Bug Brain!" Davis yelled getting the attention of TyrantKabuterimon. The giant bug digimon turned around and looked down upon them.
Veemon…..digivolve to…..ExVeemon.
"Al…alright ExVeemon…you got this." Davis said trying to reassure his partner, his voice trembling a little.
TyrantKabuterimon took a swipe at the blue dragon who avoided the bug digimon's claws. ExVeemon flew up into the air, becoming eye level with behemoth.
"Vee-Lazer!" said ExVeemon as he released an energy blast from his chest. Hitting his opponent in the face, temporarily blinding the giant bug.
"NOW!" Davis yelled.
The rest of the digidestined jumped out from behind their cover. Each member ready for the fight.
Hawkmon…Patamon…Armadillomon…digivolve to… Aquilamon…..Angemon….Ankylomon.
Aquilamon….Gatomon….DNA Digivolve to….Silphymon.
Ankylomon….Angemon….DNA Digivolve to…Sakkoumon.
Wormmon….digivolve to…..Stingmon.
"Let's do this Ken.' Davis said to his friend.
"Yeah." Ken nodded in agreement.
ExVeemon….Stingmon...
TyrantKabuterimon regained his vision and saw the final two digimon in the process of DNA Digivolving. Stingmon began to feel weird, the digivolving process stopped and Stingmon looked to be in pain as he fell to one knee.
"Stingmon are you ok?" Ken said worried. Stingmon stood back up and turned to face ExVeemon and the two digidestined. His wrist sword extended out as he remained silent.
"Ken..what's going on?" Davis asked.
"I…I don't know." Ken replied. A deep laugh could be heard as the other 4 digidestined turned their attention to where Ken and Davis were.
"Your friend is under my control . Your trump card is useless." said TyrantKabuterimon in a booming voice.
"Davis we'll do what we can. You two do whatever you must to get Stingmon back." TK said as he took the lead of the rest of the group.
"Now Stingmon I don't want to hurt you." ExVeemon said as Stingmon dashed toward him. "Spiking Strike!" said Stingmon as he lunged at ExVeemon. The blue dragon grabbed Stingmon's wrist and tossed him into the air. The bug digimon regained composure and went after ExVeemon again.
Meanwhile Shakkoumon tried to keep TyrantKabuterimon's attention focused on him while Silphymon looked for a chance to attack.
"Whoa…easy big fella we just met, no need to sweep me off my feet yet." Shakkoumon taunted as he protected himself from another TyrantKabuterimon claw swipe. Silphymon flew down and landed next to the group of TK, Kari, Yolei, and Cody as they watched the struggle between the two giant digimon.
"It's difficult to find an opening. His armor is strong and I can't get to close because he knows where I am." Silphymon said.
"Don't worry to much, just keep focused and something will happened." Kari said.
"Shine of Bee!" said TyrantKabuterimon gathering the attention of the digidestined. The red explosion that happened at Gennai's was happening again, the ground gave way underneath TyrantKabuterimon as the explosion grew larger. The sound of air being sucked could be heard as the explosion stopped growing and began to shrink. The energy was being directed into Shakkoumon, the giant white digimon looked exhausted after containing the explosion.
"Justice Beam!" said Shakkoumon as it took the extra energy he absorbed and fired it back at TyrantKabuterimon. The red beam of light that flew from Shakkoumon's eyes hit the bug digimon causing the foe to shriek out in agony. Silphymon flew back into the air and saw the chance to attack.
"Static Force." said Silphymon as he fired a ball of red and white energy at the same area that Shakkoumon had hit. TyrantKabuterimon's armor showed a small crack begin to form as he was hit by the second attack.
As Stingmon and ExVeemon still went after each other, the fight showing who was the more athletic of the two champion digimon. ExVeemon was slowing down as he tried to avoid Stingmon's attacks. A red light began to change the scenery of the battle. ExVeemon was distracted by the other battle between the two giant digimon. He saw Shakkoumon absorbing the red light, and became distracted long enough for Stingmon to deliver a kick into ExVeemon's chest knocking the blue dragon onto the ground.
ExVeemon groaned as he started to get back up, but Stingmon forced him back down with his right foot standing over the blue dragon. His energy sword extended from wrist. ExVeemon closed his eyes as he expected the blade to pierce right through him. After a few seconds he reopened his eyes and saw Stingmon stopped in mid-attack. The energy sword began to retract, and Stingmon stepped off of ExVeemon.
"Where am I?" asked Stingmon confused.
"I will tell you later. For now we have a bigger issue." replied ExVeemon.
"Stingmon are you ok?" Ken yelled as the two digimon stopped fighting.
"Yes….I'm ready when you are." Stingmon replied.
Ken and Davis looked at each other and nodded. "Alright DNA Digivolution time." Davis said.
ExVeemon….Stingmon….DNA Digivolve to…..Paildramon.
Shakkoumon was exhausted from the fight with TyrantKabuterimon. The giant digimon grew smaller and smaller dividing into two separate lights as they fell to the ground. TyrantKabuterimon was about to destroy the tired Patamon and Armadillomon before Silphymon flew in sight of the giant bug digimon.
"Hey you haven't forgotten about me yet have you?" asked Silphymon as it tried to fly out of TyrantKabuterimon's reach.
The giant digimon went after Silphymon allowing TK and Cody to get the two rookie digimon out of harms way.
"Silphymon!" Yolei and Kari yelled out as TyrantKabuterimon swatted Silphymon out of the air and into the ground.
Paildramon….warp digivolve to…Imperialdramon.
The dragon flew over Kari and Yolei and into battle. TyrantKabuterimon turned to face Imperialdramon as the dragon arrived into the battle area. "Hey tall, dark, and ugly care to fight someone your own size?" said Imperialdramon.
The bug digimon rushed over as quick as he could to the dragon, he swiped at Imperialdramon. The bug digimon's claws went right at where Imperialdramon was hovering. When TyrantKabuterimon finished his motion Imperialdramon wasn't in front of him.
Imperialdramon….Mode Change to…..Imperialdramon Fighter Mode.
TyrantKabuterimon turned around and faced the newly transformed foe. "Whoa there big boy." taunted Imperialdramon.
Back on the ground the others watched as the two Mega level digimon tried to gain the upper hand against the other. The digidestined looked on with delight as Imperialdramon was able to at least dodge each of TyrantKabuterimon's attempts to attack.
"Did we do good, TK?" Patamon asked as he regained consciousness.
"Each one of you did great." Kari answered as the group watched the battle continue.
"That's….good." Patamon replied as he yawned and fell back asleep.
The sound of Imperialdramon's "Positron Laser" attack was heard as it started up, the energy gathered at the end of the cannon that Imperialdramon had attached to his right arm. TyrantKabuterimon began surround himself in red light as he started his "Shine of Bee" attack again. The red energy enveloped the massive bug digimon as it grew larger and larger.
Imperialdramon fired the laser into the red energy ball, the blue beam appeared to get sucked into the explosion. The group watched as the red ball grew closer and closer before it stopped. The blue beam of energy that Imperialdramon fired shot out of the other side of the red explosion. The ball of energy evaporated, showing that the laser had hit TyrantKabuterimon in the weak spot that Shakkoumon and Silphymon had helped make in TyrantKabuterimon's armor. The giant digimon began to fall backwards as his data began to become unstable, then break apart as he disappeared the battle finally over.
Imperialdramon flew down and landed right in front of the digidestined before dedigivolving back into in-training forms and into Davis and Ken's arms. The two boys fell down unto the ground as they hugged their digimon from excitement. The others joined them on the ground as each human and digimon felt exhausted as they laid on the ground elated.
"You know what….Even though we have only one left to defeat…..I feel like we can beat anyone." Davis said between breaths.
"You're right about that." TK replied.
"Well what do we do next?" Kari asked the group as she looked into the sky.
"First….we EAT! Then we decide what to do." DemiVeemon answered. The entire group laughed at the little blue digimon's response.
Meanwhile in his personal room inside his castle, Astamon watched as the group celebrated their latest victory over TyrantKabuterimon. He raised his weapon and fired a shot into the screen shattering the glass, killing the image.
So I feel bad for not getting this out sooner. This chapter alone has been done for about a month and between not having a computer for a week and procrastination/being lazy I never got around to actually doing anything with this chapter. Thanks to all who have read up to this point.
As of now I have had about 5000+ views on this story alone. To me that feels awesome that people have taken the time to at least read it whether they continue or not.
