Last Chapter…. For the first time in a while, I was actually excited for the possible challenge the opposing Wrecker could pose in a kenjutsu battle.
Chapter 9: Tobi's Toy Box
(POV Jack)
As if on an unspoken signal, we both charged each other with the intention of to a victory of this battle, or spar in my case. With the "Raiton: Kuroi Raiko Senjigusuri" active, Tasagore was able to meet with the energon infused blades with relative ease. Wheeljack started with a dual horizontal slash in which I sidestepped and, using my much smaller frame to my advantage, started to move in a circle like shape. As I increased my pace, I dragged my blade behind me, sparks dancing on the ground.
As the sparks started to pick up with my steadily increasing speed to that of a Jonin, they started to stay longer and longer. Wheeljack was obviously confused by the fact that I had yet to attack him and to only dodge all his attacks which were basic slashes and thrusts.
When I had noticed that the sparks were finally staying longer to the point that my sword was pushing through the sparks, I started to apply some of my Raiton Chakra to Tasagore. As the chakra mixed with the sparks that were already on the ground, turning them black in the process, I finally started to slow down to Chunin speeds and stop the chakra flow to my blade with a whisper of "Raiko Maru " (Circle of Lightning). The sparks were now fully black, identical to the midnight black lightning that came from my blade, if only a couple of shades lighter.
You see, the Arashi Shokko is the kind of style that has one simple strategy to follow by: contain and eliminate. Using my Raiton affinity, I learned over the years how to change the battleground with it, thus, ensuring that I always had the field advantage. Plus, I could even manipulate the Raiton chakra that was already in the sparks, through the aide of Tasagore, to either expand or thin the sparks.
Seeing that Wheeljack was now in a defensive position with his twin swords back in their starting 'X' position, I saw that I would have to make the next move. Allowing the circle to slowly expand in, I charged him to launch yet another clash of swords. However, it was not meant to be as Wheeljack gave a smirk that's meaning was all too clear to me as his swords started to glow even brighter while he did a 360 on him heels only to end in a diagonal slash downward with both swords. In the path of the slash, two bright blue half-crescents formed already moving in my direction at a decent speed.
Seeing that I was only about 5 meters and closing from the attack, I had no choice but to sidestep in the opposite direction. As I moved to the side of the attack, I was pleasantly surprised to see the attack go through about half of the black sparks that made up my circle. But I really didn't have time to figure it out as Wheeljack was already charging at me. During this charge, I saw that my sparks were enclosed the circle till there was only about ten meters left of open field. Seeing that the Wrecker was only a couple meters away from his charge, I raised my katana till it was once again in the position that I had used to start the fight.
I couldn't help the chuckle that escaped my lips as we clashed yet again, much the same way as we had done the previous two times, only this time I countered the opening strike to launch an offensive of my own. It was with a slight enhancement from chakra that I was able to push back the giant Autobot as he slowly was forced back towards the sparks, which by now only had about seven meters before the circle would be completely covered by the sparks.
'Slash, duck, block, only five meters left' I thought as the circle seemed to be filling even faster as it got closer to being filled. When I finally was able to push Wheeljack till he was only about a meter or so away from the rapidly enclosing sparks, deciding to give him a wakeup, I used a chakra enhanced jump to lead into a chakra improved kick right in the chest that sent him the needed distance into the now completely filled circle of sparks.
As he landed, the sparks started to shock him in the chinks of his armor plating, which led to one of the best wakeup calls that I had seen in a while. The electricity was slowly spreading to cover his body as it continued to shock the living daylights out of him. It was clear to see, my electricity and Autobot did not mix well. After a minute I had finally ended the assault and had the sparks slowly recede till they were back in the circle they were when they started but, this time they weren't moving at all.
With the sparks now clear, I finally got a chance to see what damage the sparks were able to inflict on him. The now injured Wrecker was in a kneeling position, taking deep breaths, and had singe marks all over his body indicating where the sparks had latched while his left arm moved independently every couple seconds, indicating that I most likely affected his nervous system. Then a random thought hit me. 'Did the 'bots even have nervous systems. Sure seems like it. Or maybe the electricity was affecting something else in their bodies. Guess I will have to figure that out at another time.' Seeing that he was in no condition to fight anymore with his current injuries, I slowly started to walk up to him and sheathed Tasagore once more to its sheath.
I gave a chuckle to him while saying, "Tobi likes you. Tobi really hasn't had a fight like that since forever. You are a fun toy to play with." He gave no visible response as he appeared to be still trying to get back in a decent fighting position. Seeing this, I frowned slightly, knowing that my sparks could really pack a punch if the size of those singe marks were any indication. With him in no position to continue the battle, or spar in his opinion, I concentrated chakra once more to my eyes, preparing the Kamui once more. Right before he disappeared, heading back to Ratchet, I gave a smirk that couldn't be seen and said in one of my few serious Tobi voices, "Good fight. Tobi can't wait to fight you again. Definitely better than most of Tobi's other toys."
With my temporary entertainment gone, I set off to see where the other three I had left behind where. Surely they had not found any of the nasty critters that I kept in my forest, because they had yet to feed today. With that thought in mind, I left the clearing to find the three toys that seem to have gotten away for now.
(10 minutes later)
Skipping along the borderlines of the forest and the clearing, I found myself becoming bored fairly quickly at the fact I still had yet to find his misplaced toys. Deciding to speed things up a little bit, I used a small portion of my chakra to propel me up and into the trees and greatly speed up my search, all the while still maintaining my skip. As I made my way through what was probably the fiftieth tree or higher, I lost count after the third one, I found the wayward toys. They were moving in a simple formation with Miko and Raff in front followed by an observant Optimus right behind them.
It was obvious to see that they were about as lost as a fish was in the desert. Needless to say they were screwed because the direction they were taking would eventually loop back to the clearing eventually if they didn't change their direction.
So naturally, me being me and all just had to encourage them not to go that way. Not all that much fun doing the same thing over and over if Tobi could help it. And help Tobi did as I put a little extra kick in my skip to the point that I was a blur and directly to the left of them and slowed down just enough for them to see me skip right through their path. I even whistled a tune! It wasn't one of those upbeat ones either; it was more of the kind you would expect to hear around a haunted house or something. But that was foolish, Tobi's house wasn't haunted! He made sure of it right before he made it after all, right?
Abruptly stopping his skip in dramatic fashion, I quickly turned my gaze over to my nice, possibly haunted mansion. 'Well, doesn't hurt to check up on these things after all.' So it was with a gusto that Tobi broke off a branch from the nearest tree and proceeded off in the direction of his house in a new search for any ghosts that may or may not be there. But if there were, Tobi was sure to make them pay for not letting him in on this, preferably with cookies as Tobi was beginning to feel a little bit hungry.
Fortunately for the cookies, unfortunately for Tobi, a couple of shots through my intangible torso and one my latest ghost-buster weapon later, I remembered why I was originally here. Looking back to the ones responsible, I noticed that they changed positions on me during my distraction. Optimus was now in front with a blaster aimed at me still glowing from previous use and Both Miko and Raff were hiding behind a nearby tree.
'Damn, probably shouldn't have gone off on that thought train in Tobi mode' Jack mused as a sweat drop somehow appeared in front of his mask visible to all. As I finished that new thought train Optimus fortunately decided to speak before another one could arrive at the station. "Who are you and what have you done with my fellow Autobots?" As the Autobot finished his sentence the blaster started to glow a little brighter. That probably meant that he was going to shoot. So Tobi being the nice boy he was decided to answer the question. "The toys are in the toy box, duh. Where else would Tobi put them?" That was obviously not the answer they were expecting but it made complete sense to Tobi.
Seeing the looks of confusion, Tobi used the moment to toss the remains of his now battered stick over a couple of trees in Raff and Miko's general direction. Coincidently the stick barked back at him, wait that might've just been a wolf he just hit, oh well. Deciding to continue to be a good boy once more, meaning that Tobi officially broke his record of the best boy in one day, Tobi hollered off a "sorry Daisy!" in the noises general direction.
That seemed to get a reaction out of the two humans as they immediately left from their hiding spot and as close to Optimus as they could be. 'Geeze, not like Daisy would eat them or anything, at least I think that was Daisy. Well at least I'm sure it wasn't Fido, I would've seen him already for a round of 'Don't Bite Tobi' by now."
….Well this was getting boring for Tobi right now as no one was saying anything, the miffed screaming of joy from Miko or Raff didn't count in Tobi's book, and Tobi started to realize that Tobi was actually bored. Well, we can't have that now can we?
So to spice things up a little bit I turned my gaze to Raff and the moment I got my chance, sent a Kamui at him that sent him back to the toy box. That got their attention as their gaze was turned back to where it belonged, with Tobi.
With the fear in Miko's eyes now replaced with anger, or at least what Tobi thought was anger, she started to shout, "Who are you, you monster!" 'Well, that hurt, but then again she is probably thinking everyone besides her and Optimus are lost or even dead. Well at least she had a good reason for it.'
So I decided that I might as well humor her. To that end he slowly put his left hand on his mask with all intention of revealing who he was to her and he would've. Two things stopped him. One was that he was a shinobi. The other was that Tobi thought that that would be absolutely no fun for later.
Giving an exaggerated bow he took his mask off showing him just with his face spread out in a mile wide grin. That stopped them right in their tracks as both eyes and optics widened as one as Miko stuttered out the name"Jack?" I wasn't sure if it actually happened, but I envisioned my smile just getting better I quickly jumped, put my mask back on and performed a quick Henge and landed with a much smaller form. When I took off my mask again, I was in the form of a small kid with glasses.
This time it was Optimus who correctly stated the name, "Raff?" Indeed I had henge'd into raff, albeit that the illusion was noticeably different from the real copy. This Raff was adorned with the same Akatsuki robes as I was in and also had two Sharingan eyes staring back at the Cybertronian and human.
Chuckling to myself I gestured to myself and said in my normal Tobi voice, "See, Tobi said he was a good boy, and he was!" As I finished up I jumped into a back flip before once more placing my mask on and performing yet another Henge before I landed yet again.
This time my form was a little taller than the previous yet not as tall as my original. This form was also slimmer and less muscular than before as yet again the audience of two recognized this form. Unlike before though, the surprise and shock that previously adorned their face had now diminished into confusion as Miko said the name of my current form, "…Me?" Yep, I had now henge'd into Miko just with once again, Sharingan eyes and the Akatsuki robes. Looking up and down this form up and down I commented, "Well I guess Tobi was wrong, Tobi was actually a good girl afterall!"
Feeling that I had one more good one left in me I donned the mask once more and performed the Henge for the final time with just a little extra smoke put into the mix. As the smoke vanished I showed my new form to a rapidly annoyed audience. "Fowler?" Yes, Tobi had officially became an agent of the government. Tobi would say more but the government says that if Tobi wanted to be a good boy then he had to tell no one. Coughing to once more gather the attention, I said, "Yes Prime, you see this good little boy just had to grow up."
And with that I had just as much play time as I could want to last me a while. I had actually accomplished a lot as I thought about it.
Take care of spy: Check
Have fun with toys: Check
Mess with the minds of everyone all across the board: Check
So it was with a smile that I created three Bunshin along a linein the forms that I was in previously, including my own handsome face at the far left, took an exaggerated bow, and sent the audience packing with a Kamui before breathing a sigh of relief and sticking Tobi to the back of a mental closet until needed again.
Placing my mask in a convenient pocked in the sleeves of my Akatsuki robe I decided that I might as well relax for a little bit. Deciding to head in the direction of the house, I decided on my next move. 'The Autobots are probably a little antsy about what happened and on full alert. Probably shouldn't try to replace myself with the clone for now. Good thing I gave the sucker enough chakra to last until bedtime, though I'm sure I'm going to be feeling it in the morning for sure. Well on the bright side I get to sit back and relax for the next few hours.'
Chapter End
Well it's been a while but I'm back and ready to roll. I apologize about not updating this sooner but I had a lot of stuff going on but now that is done and over with I will be updating this more often.
