Ahh, we are back up and running my friends. I just got a new laptop, thank goodness. I am working on re-editing this story. I will continue updating, but keep in mind the story is changing so you may want to re-start from the beginning. I apologize, not much will be changing but I wasn't happy with how things were going and there were a lot of writing issues. The story will head in the same direction, Hermione isn't going to be giving away so much though and things wont seem so rushed. I hope you enjoy and if you are just starting out have fun! The chapters will be marked with and "E.D" In the beginning if they have been edited. Thank you, and please, please, PRETTY PLEASE REVIEW!

"Hermione run!" It was the first time I heard Ron so scared. I turned and was face to face with Nagini, Voldemort's pet snake and also one of the last Horcruxes.

"Impedimenta!" It only slowed the snake long enough for me to jump out of its focal point.

Just moments ago Ron and I managed to get the basilisk fang and then shared our first, rather passionate kiss. Now here we are, running for our own lives and the survival of the rest of the magical community. Destroying the last Horcrux is all we had left now in order to defeat Voldemort; so many people are depending on us.

We were now approaching the thickest part of the war crowd towards the front of the school. It was an inconceivable sight. Giants were slamming their hammers down on our classmates and professors. Wizards and witches of all ages were shooting spells left and right; the continuous use of Avada Kedavra left a nauseating green glow that tainted the skies surrounding Hogwarts. Everything was so chaotic and devastating. Every second someone would fall to the ground. Screams of horror pierced my ears causing my head to pound. We continued running, as we flew around a corner we stumbled upon Lavender Brown getting the life sucked out of her.

"No!" Her eyes were lifeless and we were too late. I shot an explosive spell at the blood sucker and I felt Ron grab my hand.

"We have to keep going Hermione." His face was full of sympathy but mostly fear. I unwillingly turned and followed him. The unvarying flashing of spells made it difficult to focus on their target. I felt someone pulling at my jacket. It was Luna; just as she pulled me back I saw a green burst of light right in front of my face.

I briefly acknowledge the fact that I would have died if not for Luna. I turned quickly to face her bright eyes.

"Thank you." She gave me a quick nod and I continued on my mission. We needed an area less hectic if Ron and I were going to kill the snake.

As we ran towards the bridge at the front of the school we were cut off by the colossal spiders of the forbidden forest. Ron immediately turned around to make a run for it.

"Ariania Exumai" I blasted the spiders away and ran to catch Ron. My legs were burning and the smoke was making my lungs burn. I tried to open my eyes wider to find Ron but it wasn't until I heard him shout that I was able to spot him.

"Aghhhh!" Ron had fallen and had a very determined expression. The Basilisk fang in his hand was positioned in a threatening way as if he was going to stab something.

I spotted Nagini slithering her way towards Ron.

Ron turned with the fang in his hands and lunged for the snakes head.

"RON, NOO!" Everything was happening in slow motion. Ron had leaped for the snake the same moment Neville apparated and was swinging the Gryffindor sword at the snakes head. A huge cloud of black smoke burst from the snake as the sword made contact. I was engulfed by a dark and cold sensation. Voldemort's soul surrounded us, filling us with fear and vulnerability. The cloud dispersed only moments after it appeared. I looked to Neville with shock. He had just destroyed a Horcrux, I couldn't believe it. Neville's jaw was open and I thought I saw him laugh. His expression was wiped from his face in an instant. That moment of happiness was no longer evident; it was replaced with a torn appearance. I gave him a questioning look and then proceeded to follow his gaze. My heart squeezed painfully as I became aware of the blood draining from Ron's neck where I imagine the snakes fangs pierced through. Ron was shaking on the ground, completely unaware of his surroundings. I ran to him and began searching through my pouch for some sort of healing potion. There must be something to heal him, I must have something. The logical part of my brain told me there was no cure for Nagini's venom, she had already taken professors Snape's life and I wasn't able to do anything then either. The reality and fear of losing Ron began seeping through every cell in my body. There was no processing at this point; my body was reacting on its own, my hands were clawing their way through my pouch desperately searching for something. Ron couldn't die. He was Ronald Weasly, the goofy, incredibly lucky and idiot Ron Weasly. This wasn't just something I couldn't believe, it was more that I didn't think anyone in the golden trio could die. We have escaped death so many times. Ron couldn't go now. No…He can't. His shaking was beginning to slow and I knew I wouldn't be able to do anything to save him. I positioned him so we were face to face and I could see the fear in his eyes. At least if one of my best friends was going to die then I would make it my mission to make sure he wasn't afraid. I placed my hands on both sides of his face and pressed my lips to his.

"It's going to be alright Ron. I love you so very much." I desperately tried to hold back my tears. I began stroking his hair and telling him to rest his eyes.

"It'll be over soon. I love you". I whispered in his ear and I could tell he stopped breathing.

A screeching and sadistic voice rang through my ears.

"Ha, ha, ha…you stupid, filthily mudblood! Ron is dead! Ronny Weasly is dead!" Bellatrix was laughing and screaming.

I gave no verbal response, just an unbreakable, cold glare. I gave his hand one last squeeze. This can't be happening.

"Ronny, Ronny please don't leave me!" I heard Voldemort's attempt to mimic me.

Everyone in the area became silent as Voldemort and his followers approached. His defenses that had battled against us slowly backed towards their leader, leaving an empty space between the people of Hogwarts and the Dark Army. Voldemort began laughing. Where was Harry? Why hadn't he returned? I didn't let my train of thought persist, I knew what would happen if Harry went into that forest, I just could accept it. My heart sank even further as I saw Hagrid being pushed to the front of the pack with Harry lying in his arms.

"Who's that…Hagrid is carrying?" I spotted Ginny out of the corner of my eye walking towards the front of where our side stood. I hoped she wouldn't turn this way and see Ron.

"Neville, who is it?" Ginny spoke again. Her voice weaker than before.

"Harry Potter….Is dead!" Voldemort's mouth grew into a tight grin. Ginny collapsed at the news.

"NO!" She lunged forward but her father placed in arm in front to stop her.

"Silence!" Voldemort spit.

"Stupid girl, Harry Potter is dead. From this day forth…you put your faith in me. Harry Potter is dead!" He turned to his followers and laughed, egging the Dark Army to join in to his laughter.

"Harry Potter is dead. Now is the time to declare yourself….come forward and join us…or die."

No one moved a single inch. The air was thick with tension. Malfoy's father was the only thing that could be heard. He finally managed to beckon Malfoy to walk over. No one blamed Draco for returning to his family. In fact we all pitied him; a small part of me knew he didn't want this. He didn't want to be part of the Dark Army. He also didn't have the stomach for it. Everything was silent a while longer and then Neville limped forward.

"I'd like to say something." Neville spoke directly towards Voldemort.

"Well Neville, I'm sure we would all be fascinated by what you have to say." Voldemort's words had an angry bite but he allowed Neville to speak.

Neville turned slightly to face us while also keeping an eye on Voldemort.

"It doesn't matter we lost Harry tonight. He's still with us….in here!" Neville reached his hand up and placed it over his chest.

"People die every day…..Lupin, Fred, Tonks….all of them. They didn't die in Vain!" He was facing all of us now. Trying to ignite the fire that was ripped from us. He then turned to confront Voldemort.

"But you will, because you're wrong! Harry's heart did beat for us, for all of us. It's not over!" Neville reached for the sword of Gryffindor and was ready to charge.

It was then that Harry jumped out from Hagrids arms. I couldn't believe it. He was alive! Voldemort looked shaken and fearful. He began shooting spells in Harry's direction. Once Harry got a hold on himself he and Voldemort both shot their spells at each other.

"Avada Kedavra!"

"Expelliarmus!"

The spells shot out like streams of lava. One red and the other a deathly green. I would've bet Harry to use Expelliarmus even in the end, a great symbolism of Harry's character. Harry was no murderer. His pure soul leaked though his wand and the red stream grew causing Voldemort to strain himself further.

The Death Eaters could tell Harry was winning and began retreating. However Voldemort's most loyal still remained. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Bellatrix slowly approaching me with the wickedest grin on her face. I immediately put a shield between us. I looked one last time to Ron.

"I'm so sorry Ron, I'm sorry I couldn't protect you." I placed my palm against his check, observing the tears that fell upon them. I didn't want to move. I was in shock, but I knew I had to run.

"I love you, always." I rested my lips on his forehead and looked up to meet the eyes of my hunter. Bellatrix was getting closer. I carefully placed Ron out of my lap and onto the ground. I stood tall ready to confront her. Every bone in my body was stone, ready to take her on. A loud explosion caused her to stop and look away.

"Confringo!"

My spell hit Bellatrix right on and caused a blast. I ran to where the previous explosion was that caused the distraction. There I saw it. Voldemort was slowly fading away. Harry did it! He Won!

I ran towards the direction of Voldemort, desperately wanting to embrace Harry. All of my being was searching for happiness in all of this tragedy. Harry defeated the Dark Lord, it was all over, and all of this was worth it. My mind cleared itself from everything except Harry, my best friend…my brother.

I looked closer but I couldn't find him. My legs numbed as they picked up speed.

Where was he?

"Harry!" There was no answer. "Harry!

…Still no answer.

My eyes were frantically searching every nook and cranny of the scene that lay before me.

I spotted him, lying on the ground. Maybe he's just exhausted and passed out.

"Harry!" I dropped to my knees just a few inches from him. I immediately began shaking him and checking for a pulse. He gave no hint of life.

He didn't make it. The world was crumbling around me. Any piece of happiness I gripped onto was ripped from me in that instant. All of my hope was gone except for the hint of a smile that curled at the ends of Harry's lips. I buried my face in his chest and cried. How did all of this happen, all of this turmoil?

"AHHHHHH!" Bellatrix was screaming and running straight for me. How is she still alive? She was shooting spells at every person she saw. She flung a Cruccio at Ginny and she fell to the ground thriving in pain.

"Ginny!" I shouted but I couldn't move. My body stayed frozen.

"I am going to kill you, you disgusting mudblood! Just like I did to those filthy parents of yours!"

"Cruccio!" I felt a slight tingling sensation flow throughout my body. I could hear a girl's voice screaming in the background. It sounded more like all echoes at this point.

"Cruccio!" again another jolt of pain washed through me.

Everything was happening at once so quickly. My body was shutting down, it couldn't take anymore. I was welcoming the darkness that was enveloping me.

Suddenly the pain stopped and I allowed my eyes to open slowly.

"Hermione!"

"Hermione, I know it's difficult to comprehend anything right now but I am going to send you off!" I heard a mans voice in front of me. The way he spoke was as if there was no way I could argue back. Neville snapped me out of my trance. Professor McGonagall as well stood in front of me.

"He is right Miss Granger, you are in no condition to battle and you need to hide. We will find you when all of this is done." I didn't understand. Why did I have to leave? Wait did Bellatrix just say she killed my parents?

"Granger, I'm so sorry. Go now!" McGonagall yelled.

She threw a spell at me knocking me backwards.

"You'll have to focus on a destination Hermione, do it now!"

Neville pointed his wand at me and his lips moved but I heard nothing. I was distracted as I watched the image of Bellatrix leaping for the both of them. The image was slowly twisting and then faded away. I felt like I was suffocating. I needed to focus, which was nearly impossible right now. I just kept repeating the word woods in my head. Everything happened so hastily and then there was a loud thud and I hit the ground. I immediately registered the pain in my side and grabbed at it.

"Ahhhhhhh!" I knew it was of no use to scream but I couldn't help myself, the pain was unbearable. I grabbed the small pouch out of my jacket pocket.

"Ahhhh…Accio Dittany!" The bottle of potion I used to heal Ron's splinched arm slapped right into my hand. I feel like I apparated but how did Neville manage to learn such a thing? It was then that I noticed it was raining and it was very cold rain, which helped numb the hurting a little. I continued screaming more and more as I poured the potion onto my side. The wound was very severe. A small part of my left shoulder and from my armpit to my hip, slices of skin had been torn off. Not to mention the other wounds I had received in the battle that just took place. I poured the rest of the bottle onto my wounds and I dry heaved in response to the pain. I could see it healing though. After a good twenty minutes of agony I then tried to start calming myself down. I started to think back at Ron and Harry and their faces. My screaming had now become sobs. I cried while I tried to search my pouch for some bandages. I sat up and started wrapping myself as I heard something far off in the woods but chose to ignore it. I laid back down on the ground and let the rain wash my tears away. I looked up at the grey sky and I couldn't help but wonder how this all happened. Why Ron, why Harry? My two most precious friends. I clutched at my jacket. Remus and Tonks, who would watch their baby? Then Fred and Ginny…poor Molly. My parents. How did she find them! They died not even knowing themselves or me. I couldn't take the sorrow anymore. My body ultimately caved in and knocked itself to sleep.

E.V

This was literally going to be a never ending game of chess. Alice would see any decision I made and I would read her mind to see what she was planning. We had been playing for at least an hour and neither of us had moved a single piece. A violent turn in her thoughts came to as a vision was forced onto. It happened so violently we both grabbed our heads to try and ease this unrelenting force. I focused my attention to her vision... It appeared to be a girl in the forest. The vision continued blurring out and flashing back crystal clear. It was giving the both of us a massive headache. The girl was lying on the ground screaming in the pouring rain. She kept yelling various names out loud, strange names at that. She looked like she had been severely injured. Again the vision blurred out and snapped back like a rubber band. The girl gave out a final yell and fell asleep. It was a sad scene to see, she looked so broken. The vision ended and we both placed our hands against our temples to yet again try an ease such an odd pain. We both just stared at each other for a few seconds.

"That was strange." I gave Alice a curious look and she just shrugged her shoulders.

"Has this happened before?" Alice seemed so nonchalant about the vision which made me suspect she had one about this person before.

"I had one a few days ago and I believe it was the same person. They were speaking to a red headed man. I could hear what was being said though it was a bit fuzzy then too. It seemed like the man was dying." The images from her memory flashed in my mind and it made the scene much clearer. This girl was saying her goodbye's perhaps?

"Did it give you a headache then as well?

"Yes, it is rather annoying. Certainly gave me quite the shock then though it was definitely worse this time. I see it affects you too?" Alice asked me.

"Yes, I wonder why the visions are blurred out, and why they are forced onto you in such a...way?"

"My theory is that she may have been in danger and death was a lingering factor so that would make her future unclear. It doesn't explain the headaches or the forcefulness though." Again Alice placed her fingers along her temples.

"The pain will subside in a few minutes." She said.

"The trees from your vision look like they are from around here."

"Yes, I noticed that too. I can't really tell when this is going to happen though. It feels very soon. Maybe we should speak with Carlisle?" Alice's idea seemed good enough.

"Yes, the family is out hunting though. Ill give him a ring." I reached in my back pocket for my phone.

"Seems a little odd though to have visions about this unknown girl" Alice was speaking aloud.

I didn't respond and waited for Carlisle to answer.

"Edward? Is everything Alright?" As expected, he was worried. It was unusual for our family to call each other, and even using the phone was unusual.

"For the most part...We believe there's a girl who has been harmed around the area. Alice had a...vision. It seems best that everyone stop hunting and come home….we wouldn't want any accidents." My main worry was Jasper. He was too hard on himself whenever he slipped up on our special diet; he was also the newest to our eating customs.

"Ah, yes I see. Is the girl in need of emergency aid?" Carlisle responded.

"We aren't really sure; in fact we are not sure if it is even happening today. I can explain later, I think giving a search around the area wouldn't hurt though. We thought you might go and confirm. If you do come across her and If she is stable on her own I think it would be best not to involve ourselves." I knew Carlisle wouldn't like this idea but our family needed its boundaries. Carlisle, apart from Esme, was the most empathetic towards humans. I have to admit to myself the idea was slightly unnerving, a girl alone in the woods and injured, but we had to put those feelings aside for our safety.

"Yes, I suppose this is the least we can do. Ill let you know if I find her and if it's an emergency. The family is already on their way home." With that Carlisle ended out conversation.

I looked to Alice who had a troublesome look on her face.

"Still trying to figure out why you had a vision of her?"

She nodded and then thought; maybe it was just to give the family a heads up so we wouldn't have any accidents while hunting.

Her explanation made sense.

"I guess we will just wait and see what happens." I spoke to Alive as I left the room.
