I am so very sorry for the delay, having large problems, technically, at the moment. Will update ASAP. MTMM.
A Day of Firsts
In a shack somewhere in England, an extremely angry figure was attacking several of his followers, all cowering and shrieking in pain.
"I'm surrounded by incompetent imbeciles!" roared the figure. "Someone told that we would attack and when I find out who it was…CRUCIO!" More shrieks bellowed forth as Voldemort cast the torture curse from his wand.
The sun had dawned bright and early on the morning of September the second. The people of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry were starting to rise from sleep. In their own quarters, Harry and Daphne were gently sleeping, with Daphne being held in Harry's arms. Harry found himself breathing in Daphne's hair. He grinned and opened his eyes and stretched over to kiss his lover.
"Hi, love" he said gently. "Time to get up.
"Hmm…five more minutes" muttered Daphne. Harry chuckled. "What time is it?" Harry cast a Tempus spell.
"6.45am, dear" replied Harry. He soon found himself face first on the floor.
"WHAT?!" screamed Daphne. "What are we waiting for? Training, prefect duties, breakfast! MOVE IT! MOVE IT MOVE IT!" Harry stood up did a few exercises with Daphne.
"You really need an alarm clock, my love" grinned Harry. Daphne just growled and prodded Harry.
"I'm poking it" she said. 'Now, grab the first years and bring them to the great hall." Harry smiled and left the room.
When he entered the Gryffindor Common Room, he found it complexly bereft of people, except for Katie, Neville and Hermione. He mouthed a greeting to them and pointed his wand to his throat and after silently casting a voice enhancement spell began to speak.
"WAKEY, WAKEY! TIME TO GET UP!" he boomed and soon the common room was filled with students of all ages. Hermione, Neville and Katie laughed uncontrollably.
"Where's the fire?" mumbled a first year sleepily.
"Were we that coherent, Hermione" asked Neculle.
"No idea, Neville, no idea" came the reply. Harry stood by the door and grabbed everyone's attention.
"Alright first years, down to the Great Hall for breakfast. You'll receive your schedules from Professor Tonks-Black. Let's go". With that, Harry and Hermione led the new first years to the Great Hall.
Meanwhile, the teachers were already at the Head table talking of many things, when the doors of the hall opened and in came the first year Gryffindors led by Harry.
"It seems to me that young Lord Potter has everything in order, Headmistress" said Snape dryly.
"I can see, Severus" said Professor McGonagall.
"Never have I seen such organisation of students" squeaked Professor Flitwick. "This is a first for Hogwarts".
"I think you'll find, Fillius, that young Harry has done a great deal of growing up over the last couple of months" said Andromeda. "Without the manipulations of the old buzzard, Harry has learnt a great deal more than his five years so far. Even his OWL results were greater than I anticipated". Murmurs of affirmation ran across the table, followed by gasps when they saw Harry walk casually to the Slytherin table, where Daphne was sat. Snape sighed and handed Andromeda a galleon. Remus chuckled from end of the table.
"I told you Harry would go to Daphne as soon as possible" smirked Remus.
"Silence" muttered the potions master.
As they were talking, Harry made his way and sneaked up behind Daphne and kissed her.
"Hello again, beloved fiancé" he said jovially. Tracey just laughed as Daphne blushed. Tracey then blushed as Harry also kissed her. "Hello, beautiful cousin of mine" he said.
"Rogue" chuckled Tracey, blushing brightly.
"And my Lord Zabini, My Lady Bulstrode, I trust that you are in good health?" said Harry to Blaize and Millicent.
"Indeed, my Lord Potter-Peverell…" began Blaize, but a 'Slilencio' from Daphne shut him up.
"We're fine, Harry" said Millicent.
"Yes, so drop the Lordly act and sit down, love" said Daphne rolling her eyes. "and stop laying it on so thick". The little group chuckled.
"Yes, dear" said Harry, sitting down, only to be interrupted by an ungodly screech.
"What the hell are you doing here, Potter?!" Harry tuned and saw Pansy Parkinson glaring at him. "Filthy brats of filthy mud-bloods don't belong here".
"Parkinson, I would strongly advise you to keep your mouth shut" warned Blaize.
"With all due respect, you have just insulted the Lord Slytherin and his late mother" said a seventh year nearby.
"He-Lord Slytherin?" sneered Parkinson. "He's only the son of a mud-blood whore!" the whole table was shocked. Harry showed his ring to the pug-faced girl, who paled.
"Twenty Points from Slytherin house for disrespect of Lord Slytherin and the late Lady Potter" said Daphne. The whole table turned and glared at Parkinson.
"If you think you are getting away with that foul term for muggle-borns, you, madam, are gravely mistaken" said Harry. "My mother was a pureblood member of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Davis and by marriage, of Potter and Peverell, but most important her heart was purer than her blood, and you dare insult her by calling her that foul term?!" Harry's voice had grown dangerous. The girl shook.
"Miss Parkinson, you will receive detention tonight with me" said the voice of Snape, who had witnessed the entire episode. Turning to harry and handing him his schedule, he bowed in respect. "Twenty Points to Gryffindor for promotion of house unity". With that he floated off.
The day flew by for Harry as he began his lessons for the academic year. Transfigurations with Aunty Andy was interesting to say the least. By the end of the class, Harry, Daphne, Tracey, Neville, Susan, Hermione, Millicent, Blaize and Padma Patil were all able to transfigure their desks into animals. Harry and Daphne's were particularly poignant for Andromeda. A stag and a doe respectively.
"Well done, Miss Greengrass and Mr Potter" she smiled sadly. "Ten points each to Gryffindor and Slytherin". They went around the classroom helping those who needed it, earning them more points for their house.
Charms was very much the same, with the rather jovial Professor Flitwick talking about the Patronus Charm. When asking who had known of the charm, Harry and the new marauders performed the charm.
"Oh-ho, Well done!" squeaked the professor. "Corporeal Patroni! Who taught you". All eyes turned to Harry.
"Harry did, sir, last year" said Neville.
"I might have guessed. Ten points to each to those who achieved it" smiled the professor. He then encouraged the marauders to help their classmates with their attempt at the spell. Even Seamus managed to avoid blowing his eyebrows off. Harry proved to be a popular teacher as he helped people in class.
"Evidently Lily's son" mused Professor Flitwick fondly.
