I am so sorry I feel like this is not my strongest chapter but building toward something I promise! I hope you enjoy!

Elizabeth woke up the next morning in her young child's bed. She stretched being careful not to wake her daughter up. She pulled the cover over Aly so that she could keep warm. She realized that the sun was about to rise so she went downstairs toward the kitchen. She began the process of making her coffee. She looked as the sun was rising, how many times had she taken the sunrise for granted. How many times had she been stuck in the dark never seeing the sun and wondering if she ever would? The more pressing question that has been pressing her since Aly had been missing was, Was she fit to fulfill this roll? Could she be a Federal Agent anymore? A mother?

"Morning, Kiddo," Elizabeth jumped out of her skin and turned around at the sound of her father's voice. Elizabeth was grabbing at her chest hoping to settle her heart as David gave her a look of concern, "Something is stirring in your brain what is it?"

Elizabeth regained controlled in her breathing and looked at her father, "I have doubts about a lot of different things. Three of the biggest ones being can I do this anymore?" David's face scrunched in confusion and Elizabeth elaborated, "I feel like I'm unfit, as an agent, as a wife, and as a mother," Elizabeth looked down at her hands twirling her thumbs. "I can barely protect myself meaning that I can't protect my family and I have been nothing but the risk to the team."

"Where is this coming from?"

"Literally, from my last abduction, I did what I had to get Aly back and I frankly had no intention of coming out of that situation alive. Dad, I feel like I'm one big risk."

"You are not a risk and you are loved by everyone here. Now I'm not trying to talk you off a ledge, but you cannot take the easy way out,"

Elizabeth looked up, "Dad, I'm not trying to do anything stupid. I just think I may need to reevaluate what I want to do."

Dave walks around the kitchen island and grabs a coffee mug and pours himself some coffee. "Well whatever you do, Kiddo, do me a favor," He paused to see his daughter patiently waiting for him to continue, her green eyes sparkling, "tell your husband about what you want to do." Elizabeth smiled and nod. "Good, Speak of the devil."

Elizabeth turned around and found Spencer standing there and Elizabeth smiled and went over to embrace him. Spencer returned the embrace and held her for a little while longer not taking a moment for granted. "I've missed you," He whispered in her ear. Elizabeth nuzzled her head into her neck breathing in his scent. "You know whatever you want to do I support you," Elizabeth closed her eyes.

"This seems like a perfect time to go wake up my granddaughter," David patted Spencer's shoulder and made his way upstairs leaving the couple alone.

Elizabeth pulled from his embrace and looked at his handsome features. "You are getting good at eavesdropping Dr. Reid," She saw him begin to blush.

"You know you are a wonderful wife, mother, and a great agent," Spencer meekly responded he formed a tight line smile.

"Spence, since we have started dating, you have started to become quiet. You don't state any more facts anymore. You've grown somber and I feel as though I'm responsible for that. I love you but I don't want you to have to worry about me and I'm tired of putting everyone at risk because of the mistakes I have made. I'm sorry I realized that I'm rambling-"Spencer interrupted her with a soft kiss.

"I love you but me being quiet is because I've been stressed because you've been gone. I haven't been feeling myself because a big part of who I am was gone. You have made me a better man and a better agent. Like I said I will support you no matter what you decide so long as it makes you happy and our family safe." Elizabeth smiled. How did she get so lucky?

~Next Day~

Elizabeth heard her alarm going off at 6:30 in the morning. She groaned and turned over. She decided to go back into the field. Spencer lightly rubbed her shoulder to get her to get out of bed. Elizabeth sat up and let her legs dangle over her bed and took a deep breath. "You okay?"

Elizabeth looked up to see Spencer looking quite concerned she gave him a big smile, "Of course just a big day."

"You know that you don't have to go back right away you can take the time and see if you really wanted to go back," Spencer approached her and grabbed her hand. Elizabeth squeezed his hand and gave his hand a kiss. "I just want you to be okay and not force you into something that could trigger you in anyway."

"I love you Spencer Reid, but I need to go back to work. See if I still have the love for the field. I won't know that until I'm in the field. I will take the proper precautions to make sure that I'm physically and mentally well. I promise." Spencer gave her a small smile and went to the bathroom to get ready. As she got up and walked into her closet to find her purple blouse and grey pants and began getting ready. She began buttoning up her blouse.

She could feel Eric's barbaric hands against her body and could feel him rip the blouse off exposing her black bra and her bare skin. "I'm going to have fun with you," and she began to squirm under his touch.

Elizabeth shook her head as she realized she was in the comfort of her home and not with him. She closed her eyes and steadied her breath and continued getting ready. This was going to be more difficult than she thought.
