Characters: Mayuzumi Chihiro, Izuki Shun.
Warning: grammar errors, genderbending, crack-pairing.
Summary: He's still learning what love is.
Mayuzumi doesn't understand love, at all, and he has no intention of getting it. He doesn't get the heartbeat and the confusing camality of thoughts when they go across one's mind.
(Because whenever he is with her, he feels really, really calm. He never questions the peace.)
He doesn't understand how people can sit at one place for hours, holding hands and lovey-dovey all the time. It's just a waste of time, really, because people have much better things to do such as reading and playing sport and discovering lives.
(He sits on the park benches with her, reading his light novel and trying his best not to stare at her legs while she watches people and makes puns about them. Horrible, but hilarious enough.)
He doesn't understand how people can scream and fight with each other, but still hug and kiss and scrawl into bed with them with as much love – if not more – as before.
(Izuki never screams or fight with him, but she still scrawls into his bed in the winter nights. He doesn't question, she doesn't explain.)
He doesn't understand why people still fight to stay together even though love is hard and painful and bitter. He doesn't understand why they just don't give up already.
(It's so easy to be around her.)
Mayuzumi doesn't understand why on earth people can give their lives to another person so easily. It isn't worth. He is perfectly by himself – independent, somewhat self-centered, and self-sufficient. He has proper things to do that fall in love. He doesn't understand what it means by finding your another half? How can another person complete you? His life is his own.
(His heart is never his own.)
No, Mayuzumi Chihiro certainly doesn't understand those feelings – love.
(He meets Izuki and he wonders how on earth a girl can have that bright eyes. Everything starts falling into place, and it's like he has got the answer. Against his better judgement, he finds himself smiling when she makes puns. When she's happy, so is he. To his upmost surprise, he can't imagine a life without her.)
(Perhaps she has his heart.)
He still doesn't understand love, but it's not like he doesn't want to learn.
(In his opinion, she's the most wonderful teacher.)
(He kisses her, and absolutely adores her surprised face.)
