Naoto's Secret chapter 1

I Narukami Yu and everyone else had just rescued Tatsumi Kanji from inside the TV world. While waiting for him to recover, there's nothing you could do but wait.
The others part ways at school and I took the Samegawa flood plain home carrying an umbrella only to spot that unusual pint-sized detective under that picnic area.
I remember him talking to Kanji-kun before he disappeared and still wondered what their conversation was about. He also looked deep in thought, Perhaps the case? As curiosity filled me I walked towards the young boy.
Then all of the sudden he had noticed me.
"Eh… Do you have business with me?" he said getting straight to the point.
"Hi I'm Narukami Yu and I was wondering if… uh we could talk… what's your name?"
"Talk? What's this about? And I'm Shirogane Naoto" He greeted himself.
"I just want to ask you something, if that's ok with you."
"…Yes, you may as long as it's not about the case I'm working on." His voice was strange and a thought popped up in my head.
"Your voice, um how should I put this…. It's like you're trying to sound like a boy, what's up with that?"
"What? W-what are you talking about?" he shuddered.
I haven't seen him like this before, him being this detective is just making me more suspicious.
"So why are you so defensive? Are you hiding something? A-are you a girl or something is that it?"
"N-no… that's…"
"I think I got my answer. Your. A. Girl!"
"You're quite tenacious; you know that Yu-kun?"
"I'm right am I?"
"…Yes, I'm a girl." She said defeated.
"Wow. Why keep it a secret, the fact that you're a girl?" I wondered.
"I… it just doesn't fit with my image! All those people in those mystery novels, there all men and since I was young I had a dream of becoming a hard-boiled detective."
"Please would you keep the fact I'm a girl a secret? It would ruin my image and I already get treated like some kind of child, so please!"
"I don't know…"
"What can I do to have you keep it? I'll do anything!"
"You'll… do anything?
"Yes."
"Then… Naoto-kun be my girlfriend."
"Okay… wait what?" Naoto said with a blush red as a tomato.
"Well, you did say anything and we'll date in secret of course, but if you decline I'll call Yosuke-kun and the others on what I discovered." I said holding my cell phone.
"I… don't really have much of a choice do I? If I become your 'girlfriend' as long as my secret's safe."
"Alright, so it's settled, were boyfriend and girlfriend, here lets exchange numbers."
"Very well."
"How bout we meet at Aiya on Thursday?
"Okay."
"Oh and don't worry about paying because I got it covered."
Naoto nodded
"You don't have an umbrella? Here take mine." I handed her the umbrella. "See ya" I ran without looking back.
The Dojima residence
"Welcome home" I was greeted by Nanako-chan. She was just as happy as ever.
"I did some shopping so there's food in the fridge." She informed me.
"Okay, thanks for letting me know." I walked to the fridge and pulled out a bunch of ingredients.
Looks like I have enough to make oden. While making oden I thought how our date's going to turn out on Thursday.
