The Imperfectly Perfect Wedding (Partie Deux)

The wind blows my veil in all sorts of directions whilst I walk out of the church with Moray. I look at him again and his face is fixed into a smile, mine is too, probably. It's like looking into a mirror; I am so happy that I could burst of it. The ring on my left finger marks the start of a new and better life with John. I smile again at the thought of living together as a married couple and this time he looks at me and slightly squeezes my hand. I am in paradise.

Linda and Bridget run ahead. The flowers falling out of their baskets as they run marks their presence. There is beauty in every movement and every movement has a beauty. They themselves look so carefree, epitomising childhood. People we love surround us, and this day really couldn't get any better. Even the rice throwing doesn't annoy me; these little traditions link us to our ancestors, with whom we share our happiness.

"How are you feeling Mrs Moray?" He whispers close to my ear. I can feel his breath tickling my ear and that makes me shiver slightly. I turn around to face him, and our mouths are dangerously close. I would love another kiss but I don't want to cause the old ladies to have heart attacks. There will be time for that later of course, actually we have the rest of our life to kiss. "I feel…great Mr Moray" I reply as I look in his eyes and then down towards his lips. Before he can come any closer I suddenly move away. I laugh as he tries to come towards me again but before he enraptures me I walk very swiftly towards the meadow, where all the guests are waiting.

I wait at the entrance of the meadow for him. The entrance it self is so pretty. There are multiple wreaths of flowers picked from the meadow hanging on the light brown, wooden fence. Inside, a few circular tables are scattered in the meadow with mismatched chairs we found in the church. I have to admit it was hard to state the difference between rustic beauty and plain homelessness but I think we achieved the right balance. I am brought back to reality as I feel someone's arms wrap around my waist from behind. I put my hands on top of his and quickly turn around to give him a quick peck on the lips.

Before he deepens it, I gradually pull back. "We have to go in now, husband, the guests are waiting" I respond with a grin. Oh, how good it feels to say that! We walk hand in hand to greet our guests, who respond with equal enthusiasm. Dudley is the first one to come up to us.

He hugs Moray and there is a look that passes in-between them as he pulls back. Proudness. That is what that is. "I am so happy for you both" He responds. Dudley's wife Grace walks up to stand beside him and she too greets us. Dudley's arm automatically go's around her waist and she unconsciously moves a few inches nearer. Soon enough Linda, Bridget and their other two boys, Cameron and Harry show up too, running around all of us. They all look so…content. Plus being good looking doesn't ruin anything.

We leave them to be and walk towards the girls' table. John wounds his arm around my waist as we walk and I snuggle in closer. The slightly overgrown grass does occasionally get stuck to the hem of my gown but I can't help but stare at the train of the gown, which smoothly glides along over the grass. Moreover the brilliant sunlight illuminates the lace of the dress, highlighting its pearlescent façade.

Pauline is the first one to notice us. "Here they come! The married couple and what a sight they look! I thought the love birds were the most romantic thing I had ever seen, but I was wrong…" Pauline stops talking as Clara puts a hand on her shoulder. "I could say the same for you Pauline, as you and Tim are getting married next month as well". John says with his ever so charming smile. "And you Clara, you and Christian are set to marry in a few months too" I add. I probably forgot to mention everyone else's love lives to you, as I was so distracted by my own.

"Well today, it is yours so lets celebrate it!" A very familiar sound says from behind. "Ah Sam! I see you definitely are. How many drinks have you had?" Moray asks with a grin. "More than you can count, probably. But who cares? Come one, let's drink!" Sam says as he moves towards the girls. He will probably keep them entertained now, with his funny drunk jokes.

Moray and I walk on, everyone else seems busy with eating and chatter. We stop at a big oak tree; from here we can see everyone but no one can see us. "So, where was that kiss?" John asks as he moves closer. "What kiss?" I reply as I myself inch in closer with a smile.

"John?" I ask. "Hmmm?" He replies in a dream like manner. "We should probably get back, Arthur's been here twice already to tell us that the guests are missing us". I reply as I move to get up. After that kiss we both sat down and watched the scene from the tree. Being in each other's arms provided so much contentment that I could stay here forever.

"You are always new, the last of your kisses was ever the sweetest." John says as he gets up. "Today is the only day, on which I allow you to quote Keats." I reply as I brush out my dress. "Well let today last forever" He says as he extends his hand towards me. I take it.

Well folks, that story are exactly a thousand words! I wonder why it takes so much longer to write an English essay than it does to write a Morise fanfiction :P Haha

Anyways I am back! I know I completely missed the month of Jan even though I was so adamant about updating but school got really busy and with the impending exams and coursework deadlines It's only going to get busier.

But please don't think I've given up. I really haven't! I recently saw some posts with people encouraging other people to read my fanfics and that was so sweet! I really do appreciate the support and viva la Morise! The next chapter will be the third and final part to this one shot and after that I'll start the regular one-shots again. Do send in suggestion on Tumblr or just message me on here or something.

See you all later! Please do leave a comment if you want to.
