Chapter 5

~Will's POV~

Valkyrie and the new girl Kira continued to talk for some time. I was still listening to them even in my sleep. While they talked I thought about Valkyrie's reaction to seeing Kira. It was strange, he was usually so collected. Except when someone made him mad, then I would just stay out of it. They eventually went to sleep so it was pretty quiet the rest of the night. So I just decided to fall into my true sleep.

~Time skip: Morning~

I was the first to awaken, so I decided to make breakfast. We had some fish left and I found a nest that contained some turkey eggs. I cooked the eggs and the fish together and made some omelets for the five of us. The two cats were the next to get up as they smelled the food cooking and wanted to eat, as per usual. While they ate and somewhat fought, Kira and Valkyrie finally came back to life.

"How did you make breakfast, did you start a new fire?" asked Kira."No, just used the one from last night." I responded."My fire never goes out." stated Valkyrie.
She looked at us as if saying "Are you kidding me?" But I don't think she cared to ask because her stomach growled as loud as mine and Valkyrie's. So we ate in near perfect silence and enjoyed the scenery. After we finished I decided to ask the question that has been on my mind since Kira had set foot in our camp. "Why are you here exactly Kira?"."Will, why are you asking her that, it's very rude and that's not like you at all." said Valkyrie. Kira just stood there look shocked and confused. "I mean for her to explain why she is here, I heard you guys talking last night so I don't want to prolong it anymore than we need to, so spill!"

Kira looked shocked at the statement. "How do you know what we were talking about, you were asleep when we were talking?" " I have advanced hearing and sense of touch and Valkyrie can see and smell things from miles around so its hard to miss something with us around." Kira appeared defeated and bowed her head in what looked like shame.

"Fine, I'll tell you what I know. She replied then took a large breath. "The truth is I really don't know much at all, I woke up with no memory of who I was or where I was. I saw people coming toward me so I thought they were looking for me. At first I thought they had good intensions but then they started to attack me with weapons and magic so I fled. After awhile they gave up and left me alone, so I decided to just try and find help. After six days of running I came across your camp and smelt your fish and the rest is history." Valkyrie looked as though he believed her while the cats were crying anime tears. "Such a sad story.", said Aurum. " Six days without food, how horrible!" cried Argent. Their statements of sorrow gave everyone an anime sweat bubble. I looked at Kira with an emmotionless face, "Since I can hear practically anything I didn't hear your heart rate accelerate so your probably not lying."
"So now what?" asked Kira. I looked at Valkyrie, then at Kira, and finally at the cats who were still crying. I sighed and said, "I guess you can come with us for now, but you have to share the work load." "OK.", replied Kira. After that we continued to walk when we came upon a sign that said Magnolia was only a couple of miles away. "Finally, " shouted Argent, "we can finally take a rest soon." "Dang, how come I got stuck with such a lazy complacive feline like yourself?" I asked. "I think it reflects the person." stated Valkyrie, I just looked at him ticked off. "Well what does that say about you and Aurum?" questioned Kira. That just made me laugh and forget my frustration until I started to hear a strange pounding sound and also feel a massive vibration through the ground. Valkyrie saw my face and nodded at me. "Aurum, I need a lift.", he said. Aurum grabbed his back and revealed wings, flying high into the sky above the trees. "The cats can fly?" questioned Kira. "Yeah.", I replied. She liked at me like I was crazy, which I am. Valkyrie and Aurum came down and looked weirded out.

"There's a giant robot attacking Magnolia" said Valkyrie. I looked up near the horizon and see a large machine walking toward the city. It was, as my golden haired friend had said, quite large. "We need to get there now." I said. "Agreed, we plan on joining the guild there, what good would it do for us if it's destroyed." Spouted Valkyrie. Everybody looked at him with a blank stare of stupidity. "What?" questioned Valkyrie. I rolled my eyes in how my friend/brother's explosive personality could make him a little bit of a jerk. We started to run to the city as fast as we could. There were expolsions echoing through the forest with animals scattering and running in fear.

Whatever the situation was, it wasn't good, I could hear people shouting, cursing, and crying. We rushed into the city to see people running away from a certain reasonably big building with the sounds of violence behind it. We made or way toward the source of the commotion. We came to a tall building with a symbol that me and Valkyrie knew as the Fairy Tail symbol. Then we heared an explosion and rushed to the back. There we found many people fighting many black ghost-looking things and the sound of something charging from the giant robot. A light was forming on the end of its giant cannon and a scarlet haired girl in a suit of armour stood at the end of a cliff. She suddenly changed into a new armour that was silver and black with what looked like two halves of a shield. I looked at Valkyrie and he looked at me. We both knew what to do. The red head was about to brace for an attack when she felt two hands on her shoulders. She looked and saw me and Valk.
"Allow us Miss." I said. We stepped in front of her and charged our magic. Then my eyes glowed silver while Valkyrie's glowed gold. "Lost Dragon Slayer Art: Take Over: Dragon Soul," we shouted. "Silver Flames of the Frozen Moon.", I continued. " Golden Flames of the Burning Sun.", replied Valkyrie. We both were covered in golden and silver flames that made parts of our bodies look like dragons. We had claws, horns, wings, fangs, spikes, and tails in our respective colors. Everybody was in utter shock at the display of raw magic and strength. The cannon was even closer to firing and I knew we needed to do something. "Valkyrie, I think we may have to pull out one of the big guns." "Agreed." He replied. I then put my left hand up twisting my fingers to the right and my palm to the left. Valkyrie turned his right arm in the same way only his fingers went to the left and his palm to the right. There our palms met and we charged our own beam. At the peak of its power capacity we shouted in unison.
"Secret Dragon Slayer Art: Solar Eclipse!"

A enormous beam of gold light with silver spiraling around it fired the same time the cannon did. The beams met with a monstrous, earthshaking amount of force. The beams were in a stalemate and neither were giving an inch. "Hey Will, I think we may need to bump up to 50% don't you think?" "I couldn't agree more." I replied. We amped up the power and the beam increased in brightness. The Solar Eclipse started to push the robots canon beam back up to the robot. It went straight up the barrel to wherever beam came from and released a massive explosion.

Valkyrie and I turned around to see everyone ,other than the cats, look at us with their jaws hitting the ground in shock. "What?". We said in unison, melting into our regular forms.
