"Hello Harry, are you ready for detention?" Tonks asked, cheerfully. Harry just grumbled, and Tonks scowled. She hit her desk, glaring at him, and the loud, sudden noise made him jump. "Don't grumble like you're five! Are you ready for detention?"

"Yea, I guess!" Harry made sure to say out loud, ignoring Greed's rude comments in his head. Now that he was alone in a room with her, he realized how… weird her aura felt and how disconnecting it was. Ginny was right, of course, in that she was one of them. Her aura was distinctly Amestrian, with a sharp edge of Alchemy that was almost exactly the same as Ron, Draco, and Neville. But she also had this weird mixture of magic that seemed to be tied to her Metamorphic abilities, and he has found that Alchemy and Magic aren't the best mix.

He just wanted to go back to the dorm. And not here, stuck in her office, grading papers.

"It would be a good lesson learned." She had claimed, putting her feet up on the desk and changing her hair to a light blue. He felt like it was just an excuse for her not to do work.

And so there he was, for one hour, then two. Grading papers that seem to just have no meaning for actual grades because they had only been in school for a month. Finally, near midnight, she got up and stretched.

"Ok ok, I'll let you go. Don't go driving anymore flying cars now." She said, yawning. "God I'm too old for this."

"Old?" He raised an eyebrow, getting up as well, just leaving the papers on the desk. They were Tonk's problem. "You're like 25."

"Hey! I'm 19!" She glared at him. "I'm just using this job as an internship!"

"So you aren't a professor?" Harry asked. He had assumed she was at least ten years older than him, but no. She would have graduated the year before he came. She huffed, already half out the door.

"No, I'm an auror!" She snapped as she left. Harry looked at the door for a long moment before sighing. He needed to get back to the dorm, and hopefully without Filch finding him.

"…kill…kill…eat….kill…."

He froze, listening to the whispering for a long moment. It's quiet, almost like it wasn't there. Extending his senses, he felt…. Nothing. Nothing out of the ordinary anyway. He frowned and wondered if he waited too long to look.

"Did you hear that?" He muttered to Greed.

"Hear what?" Greed asked, and Harry frowned. "What got you in such a state? Calm down! There's nothing there!"

He stayed quiet for a long moment before shaking his head, leaving the room. Maybe he just needs more sleep.

"Harry, Harry wake up!"

He jerked awake, way too early in the morning from the time that he went to bed. He didn't want to be awake, but Ron was shaking him rather viciously, so it must be important. In fact, it must be so important that Ron has not stopped shaking him.

"Wh-what- Ron!" He snapped, jerking away from him friend. "What is it?"

"Something attacked Professor Tonks last night!" Ron said a little franticly. He couldn't blame him. Hogwarts was supposed to be safer, or at least safer than anything in their old lives. But someone, something got in the castle and attacked a teacher.

"Is she ok?" Harry asked quickly, looking at the other beds. They were the only ones in the dorm, so Dean and Seamus were somewhere else, doing something else. Ron shook his head.

"She isn't dead, but she isn't moving." He said. "Professor McGonagall didn't tell us much, other than we need to stay in the tower for the day. Ginny's out being a spy. Seeing if they have any ideas."

"Good." Harry frowned. "We need a plan for this then."

Did this have anything to do with the voice from last night?
