It was rare for the watchtower to be crowded at 5AM on a Monday morning, but today there were a couple more. Just about everyone who didn't have a traditional job or some kind of responsibility was here. Once Clark and Diana left, Starfire spilled the beans about their off world trip and the betting went from there. For an outsider it would probably be a ridiculous sight to see a room full of costumed heroes betting over something as silly as someone elses love connection, but it was fairly normal for them.

"They're way too stubborn, it's not going to happen. They've gone all this time and never hooked up, there's no way after what went down are they going to come out of that ship any different than they left." Hal stated, he had bet against Clark and Diana with several people. When he won, his next 4 monitor shifts were going to be covered by Starfire, $500 from Wally and John would say the words 'You bested me' in front of everyone.

"I don't think so." Wally smiled.

"Me neither." Starfire agreed.

Shayera, who hadn't taken part in any of the betting and only heard part of Hal's statement chimed in with a bit of information Hal didn't know. "They were on Ryizah, I don't know if anyone could hold out for as long as they were there."

"Wait, what! Nobody told me they were on Ryizah! That's the most underhanded… I can't believe you people. I thought this was the Justice League, but you guys are just trying to rob me blind." Hal was livid, he was now sure he would lose each of his bets. Not only that, Clark had gone to Ryizah with Diana. That just wasn't fair.

"You made the bet Hal." Wally reminded him.

"I'm not falling for that, you did this on purpose, there's no way I'm paying up. No! No! No!"

Clark and Diana exited the Javelin and were surprised to be met by a handful of leaguers. They expected Koriand'r and Shayera and whoever was on duty but no one else. As the ramp had been going down they could clearly hear Hal was outraged about something. But also Wally, Dinah and Mera were here.

"What is going on here?" Clark wondered.

"How was your trip?" Koriand'r jumped in front of them.

"Why are so many people here?" Diana asked, knowing for sure this was a setup now.

Clark hadn't been paying attention to what people were saying, but he wondered the same thing Diana did. There had to be something, and Hal had basically confirmed it, he was refusing to pay Wally on account he didn't know where they went.

"What? I don't know, I'm curious as to how your trip was. Did you help them settle their trade dispute?" Koriand'r feigned caring about the actual job they were supposed to do.

"Actually no. The opposition's wife did it." Clark confirmed.

"What about you two. Did you enjoy yourselves?"

Clark was inclined to scream 'hell yeah' at the top of his lungs, but he looked to Diana instead.

"It wasn't the sort of place I'd go to all the time, but yes we did." Diana confirmed, with a smirk on her face. Then she reached over and took Kal's hand in hers. "Now if you'll excuse us."

Koriand'r smiled widely, she wanted to hug them and jump for joy, but decided against it. She simply ran to the other room and told everyone.

"They're betting aren't they?" Diana asked.

"Yep." Clark could hear people complaining or cheering depending on which side they bet. "I feel like we should get 20% of all the winnings."

"Who was behind it? Can you tell?"

"You already know who's behind it."

"Of course. We should pay him a visit."

Clark laughed, that could be fun.

It had been a rare night off for the Batman, his intel hadn't given him many signs of serious activity so he rested up for a night. It had been quite a while since he'd taken a night off and Alfred was most happy about it. Bruce was sipping his protein shake when the doorbell rang.

"Who could that be at this hour?" Alfred wondered, there were no planned visitors and anyone who knew Bruce knew that this was near the time he'd be first going to bed.

Bruce switched the television to the security footage. "Ah, Mr. Kent and Miss Prince."

Alfred left to answer the door, Bruce just groaned. He really didn't want to be bothered by them, since they were here together it was obvious his plan worked.

"Hello." Alfred answered the door, to find Clark and Diana in a loving embrace. He knew that they were close, but he didn't know they were like that.

"Alfred, always good to see you." Diana greeted.

"Please this way, Master Bruce didn't have his usual late evening so he's just woken up."

Bruce was sitting in one of the homes several dining rooms sipping on his protein shake when Clark and Diana walked in hand in hand.

"That was a bit of a dirty trick you pulled." Diana began.

"And?" Bruce groaned.

"We wanted to thank you." Clark said.

"You're... welcome?" Bruce wasn't expecting that, actually this early in the morning he didn't know what to expect at all.

Diana looked into Clark's eyes then turned back to Bruce."You were right, we were idiots. To not be able to see what was right in front of us. Now I expect you wish you didn't care, but I'm glad you were a good enough friend to push us."

"I don't know what I was thinking not wanting you in my life." Clark turned to Diana and pulled her close.

"Ugh!" Bruce groaned, he could see what was coming next.

The two of them went at it, tongues and hands. Diana grabbed Clark's butt and squeezed really hard, and Clark did the same to her.

"Alright, alright, alright I get the point. Are you doing this to mess with me or are you going to be that couple?" Bruce started paying close attention to his drink.

Clark and Diana didn't even respond to him, what started out as a joke got real quickly. They were still very much in the honeymoon stage, and couldn't get enough of each other. Diana had quickly forgotten where she was and started un tucking Clark's shirt. Bruce had enough.

"Okay, it's time for you two to go!" Bruce stood up and shouted. "This house has been in my family forever, I'd rather you two not destroy it."

Clark pushed Diana back, and collected himself a bit. "You're right it would be rude to potentially ruin your house after you've done so much for us. In fact we were hoping to make it up to you. We're going to find you a woman."

"No thank you, I do fine on my own." Bruce Wayne could have women lining up if he wanted.

Diana wasn't having it, "Not those gold diggers, no we're going to find you a real woman. Someone who gets you."

"Just go."

"Suit yourself." Diana pulled Clark by the hand and they left the house.

Bruce wanted to bang his head against the table several times. When Alfred returned he noticed the foul mood.

"I was not aware that the two of them were so close." Alfred began. "Is this a recent development?"

"Unfortunately."

"Unfortunately? I thought they make a handsome couple."

"A little too handsome. I think I've created a monster." Bruce was not looking forward at all to whatever madness they had in store for him.

Lois walked of the office after a longer than usual day. She never liked it when Clark wasn't around, the days dragged on without him it seemed. It had been one thing when his amnesia was in full effect but since he'd been back things had been going smoothly. So when he didn't answer his phone all weekend and then not show up to work had her concerned.

He still wasn't answering, so she decided to pay a visit to his place. Maybe she could figure out what was going on with him. Hopefully he didn't have a setback and was dealing with another loss of memory. So she caught a cab to his apartment.

Maybe it was their time on Ryizah, or maybe it was just Diana's nature but she was getting Clark to be more adventurous than he'd ever been before. They were in his apartment, on the kitchen counter. They were going slow, trying to be careful on the fragile surface, they hadn't engaged fully yet just working up to a point, until of course they heard keys jingling in the door.

Lois always announced herself loudly if she used her key to Clark's place, just to make sure Clark didn't get all 'must defend this house' on her. "Hey Smallville, are you even here? You won't answer your phone for three whole days. OH MY GOD!"

The last thing she expected to see was Clark on top of Diana on the kitchen counter, in what looked to be mid stroke. It's not every day one walks into a house and sees this, however she will likely change her protocol in the future. She was completely unprepared for what she saw.

Clark wasn't sure what to do, so he simply rolled himself and Diana off the counter onto the floor behind it so Lois couldn't see anymore. He landed on top of Diana with a loud thud.

"Are you alright?" Lois called, afraid to look. The split second view was more than enough. She and Clark had been together at one time so she knew what he looked like without clothes on but this was just weird.

"Fine." Diana called.

"So I guess you two got back together. Now I know why you're not answering your phone. Great for you two. Um… I should go." Lois turned to leave. "Glad you're back Diana, we should do lunch sometime, or something."

Lois left and Diana pushed Kal away. "Well that's a bit of a moment killer."

"It is?"

"So Lois walking in here doesn't seem like a problem to you?"

Clark looked down, causing Diana to as well. "Not at all."

"Well, we should just relax, let's get dressed and just talk."

"Talk? Why? There's nothing to talk about." Clark was ready for action, but Diana was clearly onto other things. Luckily the sun didn't affect him the same way here as it did on Ryizah he'd get over it.

"Maybe we should tell a few more people about our reconciliation." Diana suggested, putting on the clothes she'd worn when they arrived.

"I guess. There's my parents, who didn't even know we were together in the first place. The League already knows, or at least they all will soon. Bruce is massively annoyed, good call on that one by the way, we can use that for a long time."

"I know." Diana proposed they act like one of those 'too in love' couples around Bruce just to grind his gears for getting into their business.

"Then there's of course your mother, who…"

"Is selfish when it concerns us."

"How so?"

"Apparently she just wants grandchildren, or granddaughters more specifically."

"For the record I'm not against that. In the further, further, further future but I'm not against it."

"Well as of right now I am, so keep that far ahead in your mind."

Clark wondered something, they hadn't used any protection or anything the last few days. Would anything have worked anyway? "Wait, what about now? How are we even sure it's not like we…"

"Don't worry Kal, I've got that under control. Trust me."

"That's it, just, you've got this?" He was a little skeptical.

"Yep."

"Okay."

The two sat on the foot of the bed in silence for a few moments, unsure how to proceed. Until Clark began laughing.

"What's so funny?" Diana queried.

"It wasn't really that long ago we were just sitting on the watchtower eating pot roast."

Diana agreed. "I guess not, but we were so far away from here. It's almost like we're different people now. There's no way that woman could turn to you and say Kal, I love you. I would have collapsed in my chair."

"I don't think I could've either."

"Maybe it took something crazy for us to figure it out. Maybe it took some ridiculous idea by me to get everything started. But I'm glad I did it, even if it knocked me down a few notches in your book."

"I'm glad you did too." Clark was about to lean in for a kiss when his JL communicator went off. It was Mera calling from the watchtower.

"Oh good you're decent." Mera said once the video feed confirmed he was wearing at least a shirt. "Is Diana with you?"

"I'm here." Diana leaned in close to Kal to confirm.

"Well sorry to bother you but there's something in Metropolis you might want to check on. He's a big guy with purple skin, three eyes and a big fin on his head. I figured the 'Power Couple' should get on that."

"Alright, we'll see what's going on." Clark confirmed, standing up and getting ready for anything.

"The madness never ends." Diana lamented.

"But you know, now we have something to come home to." Within seconds he was in his Superman suit and ready to fly, while Diana transformed into her warrior armor. "You ready for this?"

Diana smiled, "With you? Always."
