Sorry for the long periods between updating! I got a 2nd grade teaching job through the remainder of the school year, and I didn't have time to do much of, well anything, much less any writing! I'm now on summer vacation, so I'm back to writing! I definitely never had any intention of stopping this story, so I hope you continue to stick around. Enjoy :)

Look up Hesitation

"So mother, you know that tomorrow is a very big day-," A young woman, with long, long, long, long, long, long, golden hair that spread around the room said.

"Sing for me, Rapunzel!" An older woman with black hair ordered.

"Flower, gleam and glow, let your power show," Rapunzel sang quickly, as if she were purposely rushing, "Let your power shine, make the clock reverse..."

"Woah, dear," the woman, Mother Gothel, said. Rapunzel's hair began to glow.

"Heal what has been hurt, change the fate design, save what has been lost, bring back what once was mine."

"Rapunzel!"

"Mother, as I was saying, tomorrow is a very important day! My 18th birthday! And I want to leave the tower to see the lights!"

"Lights?"

"The ones that appear on my birthday each year!"

"Those, dear, are just fireflies."

"Fireflies?"

"And the world is a dangerous place! Ruffians, thugs, poison ivy, quicksand, it's all there! Mother knows best! And Rapunzel?"

"Yes?"

"Don't you EVER ask to leave the tower! AGAIN!"

End Hesitation

"Where is this place?" Sora asked. The group appeared to be in some type of forest.

"Definitely never been here before!" Goofy said.

"What should we do?" Donald asked.

"Look for heartless. And seal the world's data," Sora answered. "C'mon, let's take a look around."

A Castle Appears as lanterns float behind them and into the Sky.

As the group kept walking, they heard a scream in the distance.

"C'mon!" Sora yelled. They followed the scream, and they found two people surrounded by two heartless. Both appeared to take the form of a giant ball of light with fire blaring out of its forehead. The young woman was Rapunzel. She was holding a frying pan defensively. Next to her was a young man with brown hair. He was holding a sword.

"Run, we've got this!" Sora screamed.

"Are you kidding?!" Rapunzel exclaimed, "This is the most action I've ever seen! I want to help."

"Are you sure you don't want to-" the young man started, clearly wanting to run.

"FLYNN!" Rapunzel started.

Sora decided not to argue back. The group fought along next to Rapunzel and Flynn. Sora had to admit that he was impressed with the young woman's courage as she hit the heartless with her frying pan every time the heartless approached her. Finally, the heartless were defeated once Sora used a giant Blizzaga spell.

"Nice skills," Sora said.

"Thanks. My name is Rapunzel. This is my guide, Flynn Rider."

"Sup?"

"I'm Sora."

"Donald."

"Goofy."

"Nice to meet you."

"Rapunzel, where is Flynn taking you to?"

"Well, I've lived in a tower with my mother all my life, so she could protect me. But I decided to trick her so I could escape. You see, on my birthday each year, there are lanterns that are let out into the sky, and I've always wanted to see them!"

"Protect you from what?" Sora asked.

"The dangers in the world." Suddenly, a cute fuzzy bunny hopped by the group. "LIKE THAT!"

"Some mother keeping you locked away!" Donald screamed.

"Donald!" Goofy exclaimed.

"Well Happy Birthday! But why are the lanterns released one night each year."

"The King and Queen release them once a year for the lost princess," Flynn said, "for remembrance and in hope that she may once day return."

"I only just found out the lights were lanterns! Mother told me they were fireflies. FIREFLIES! And Flynn is nice enough to take me there!"

"Only so you will give me back the satchel you took!"

"Hehe. Who's the thief now?!"

"Well, how bout we tag along just in case any more heartless show up?"

"Is that what those creatures are?" Flynn asked.

"Yep."

"Well the more the merrier!" Rapunzel exclaimed.

"Yeah, great," Flynn mumbled.

As the group continued to travel, they continued to fight heartless along the way. As they continued walking through the forest, they head a rustle in the bush.

"What was that?!" Sora asked.

Flynn walked over to the bush, and peeked inside. There, with steam ready to come out of his nose, was a white horse.

"Hehe, nice horsey. RUN!"

The group began to run as the horse began to charge at the group.

"Wait a minute! Why are we running from a horse?!" Donald asked.

"Well, Maximus and I have a bit of a, hehe, history. He's a kingdom horse, and I'm not on very good terms with the kingdom."

"Why not?" Sora asked.

"That's...another story all together." They group then suddenly gasped as a wall of bird-like heartless stood in their paths.

"You guys keep running," Sora told Rapunzel and Flynn, "the horse only wants you. We'll take these guys and catch up to you later!"

Look up Rowdy Rumble.

Rapunzel nodded and she and Flynn ran as Maximus kept chasing them. Sora, Donald, and Goofy stayed behind and prepared for battle.

Objective: Defeat the swarm of heartless!

The group teamed up to take the swarm down. Goofy bumped them towards Donald and Sora using his shield. Donald continued to attack using his magic, and Sora tried his keyblade glider for the first time to take down the flying hearts. Finally, he ended the battle using a heavy Thunder attack, and they all disappeared.

"Phew," Sora said, "Which way did Flynn and Rapunzel go?"

"They headed that way!" Donald said, pointing in the direction they went.

The group kept running until they reached a canyon.

"Where do ya think they are?" Goofy asked. As soon as he said it, some rocks on the side of the cliff exploded, and gallons and gallons of water shot out. With it, came Rapunzel and Flynn!"

"COME ON!" Sora motioned, and they quickly made their way towards the two.

"Are you alright...Woah..." Sora noticed that Rapunzel's hair was glowing as it quickly faded to it's normal blonde color!

"WOW!" Donald and Goofy exclaimed in unison!

"Wow!" Flynn exclaimed, "You shoulda seen it! It was dark, and we were trapped! And Rapunzel sang as the water rose, and we could then see, and WOW!"

"I'm sorry," Rapunzel said, "I thought that if I said something, you would want to steal my hair."

"Why would we want to do that?" Sora asked.

"Because it doesn't just glow...it also has healing powers...and it can make you younger so you can live forever..."

"Trush me," Flynn said, "I DEFINITELY don't want to live forever! I just want my satchel back!"

Rapunzel giggled.

"Come on," Flynn continued, "the Kingdom is just beyond these woods over hear." They group then made their way through the woods. A little while later, they stopped to rest their feet.

"What else does your hair do?" Donald asked, clearly fascinated.

"Donald..." Goofy mumbled.

"That's alright," Rapunzel said, "If cut, my hair turns brown." She held up a tiny strand of brown hair. "And if you'll excuse me, I'm sure that there's a tree branch somewhere that I can use as a hair brush! Got to prevent tangling, haha." As Rapunzel got up to leave, Sora noticed Flynn pacing back and forth.

"Flynn, you alright?"

"Huh? Uh, yeah, just, thinking."

"About what?"

"He's probably just worried about being caught by that Maximus again!" Donald exclaimed.

"Yeah. That's it..."

Look up Missing You.

As Rapunzel searched for a branch, she heard a familiar voice call her name.

"Rapunzel, dear!"

"M-Mother?!" Rapunzel said, clearly shocked.

"I thought you'd never leave!" Mother Gothel said.

"How did you find me?"

"It was easy, really. I just listened to the sound of complete and utter betrayal!"

"Mother..."

"We're going home, Rapunzel. Now."

"But mother, the lights, and...and, I met someone...and I think he like's me!"

"That's demented! This just proves that you're too naive and you never should have left!"

"Mother..."

"Don't be a dummy, come with Mummy!"

"NO!"

"Hmm, so Rapunzel knows best, now?! Fine, we'll see how much he really 'likes' you. Here." Mother Gothel handed Rapunzel the satchel.

"How did you..."

"Give it to him, watch, you'll see!"

"I will."

"Trust me, my dear, that's how fast he'll leave you." Mother Gothel retreated into the woods, leaving Rapunzel alone with her thoughts.
