Hey, people, it's me, back with another chapter of "What Should Have Happened." Not many people responded to my poll for Asaka's deck, so I decided to keep it similar to her canon deck at this time, but add some cards I feel would work well with her play style. Misaki's deck is staying the same for this fight, because her deck was the only one I felt was constructed well in canon, especially for this particular fight. Now, PLEASE give me reviews, because they show how I have been writing and if I need to improve anything. So, without further ado, here is Asaka vs. Misaki!

Chapter 5
"Team Q4 vs. Team AL4! The national tournament finals has just come underway! In the first match, AL4's General, Tetsu Shinjou, defeated Kamui Katsuragi of Team Q4 is a very close fight! In the second match, from Al4, we have Asaka Narumi, the Assassin! And from Q4, Misaki Tokura! Both these fighters fought before at the previous national tournament, and at that time, Narumi came out on top. Will she repeat the performance here and give AL4 their third championship in a row? Or will Tokura avenge her loss and force a third match to give Q4 a shot? Let's find out now! LET'S VANGUARD!"
At the arena, both fighters placed their first vanguards facedown.
Last time, she was able to read me like a book and act accordingly. But, last time, my deck was poorly constructed, and I was hesitant in my decisions. That was due to my lack of experience. However, now I fixed that mistake. This time, I will not lose! Misaki looked to win this fight at all costs.
No matter what, I have to win this fight. If I don't, Ren will have to go out and fight so soon after his loss to Kai...I can't let him fight like that! Misaki Tokura, you have no chance against me! This will go just like last time. I will not lose! Asaka knew that a loss by her soon after Ren's loss to Kai would cause him to throw her off the team, and he would never look at her again.
"The second match! Begin!"
"Stand Up, Vanguard! Hades Ringmaster!"
"Stand Up, Vanguard! Godhawk, Ichibyoshi!"
The stage of the Pale Moon Circus rose up, as both player's starting vanguards materialized, the demon manager forming with a smirk, while opposite him, the blue hawk rose up. [Hades Ringmaster - 5000 Power] [Godhawk, Ichibyoshi - 5000 Power]
"I go first. Draw" Asaka drew a card, then took a bow. "This is the first act of the Pale Moon Circus. I hope you will enjoy the tricks that we have in store for you." She took a card, spinning it on her finger, before riding it. "I ride Starting Presenter!"
The manager deformed, then formed into the cape-wearing demon. [Starting Presenter - 6000 Power]
"With Ringmaster's skill, I Soulcharge." Asaka smiled as the unit went into her soul.
[Soulcharge: Nightmare Doll, Alice]
"I end my turn."

The blue hawk transformed, becoming a young girl in a priest's dress wearing a magatama and a crescent moon headpiece. [Goddess of the Crescent Moon, Tsukuyomi - 7000 Power]
"The rest of the cards go to the bottom of my deck." Misaki put the four remaining cards in the order she wanted, then put them at the bottom of her deck.
"Goddess of the Crescent Moon attacks!"
The girl raised her hand as it filled with light.
"No Guard."
"Drive Trigger, check. No Trigger" It was, on the other hand, Goddess of the Half Moon.

The light hit the caped demon, sending him flying backwards.

The caped demon lowered his staff and disappeared into the shadows with a bow, with the flame-wielding elf taking the stage in his place. [Crimson Beast Tamer - 8000 Power]
"With Presenter's skill, if a Pale Moon rides over him, I can Soulcharge twice!"
[Soulcharge: Jumping Jill - No Trigger]
[Soulcharge: Starting Presenter - No Trigger]
"I call Mirror Demon, Skull Juggler, and Turquoise Beast Tamer! Assemble, my performers!"
To the right of the elf, a mirror appears, with a clown-like creature peeking out of it, while the demon juggling three skulls around appears behind the mirror, with an elf shrouded in ice appearing behind the vanguard. [Mirror Demon - 8000 Power] [Skull Juggler - 7000 Power] [Turquoise Beast Tamer - 6000 Power]
"With Juggler's skill, I Soulcharge!"
[Soulcharge: Candy Clown - Heal Trigger]
"Boosted by Skull Juggler, Mirror Demon attacks Tsukuyomi!"
The clown disappears inside its mirror, then reappears right in front of Tsukuyomi, punching her. [Mirror Demon - 8000 Power + 7000 Power= 15000 Power]
"Damage Trigger Check." The card flashed gold. "Critical Trigger! I give all the effects to Goddess of the Crescent Moon!" [Goddess of the Crescent Moon, Tsukuyomi - 12000 Power]
[Damage Trigger: Psychic Bird - Critical Trigger]
Asaka smirked. "Turquoise, a boost if you please." The icy aura of the smaller beast tamer gave power to the flame elf, who then jumped at Tsukuyomi. [Crimson Beast Tamer - 8000 Power + 6000 Power= 14000 Power]
"No Guard"
"Drive Trigger Check. No Trigger"
[Drive Check: Big League Bear - No Trigger]
"Damage Check. No Trigger"

"And now the curtain falls for the second act of my circus." Asaka finishes with a bow.

The priest girl grew and is now riding a Godhawk, holding a sword and shield. [Goddess of the Half Moon, Tsukuyomi - 9000 Power]
"With Half Moon's skill, I Soulcharge!"
[Soulcharge: Battle Sister, Ginger - Critical Trigger]
[Soulcharge: Oracle Guardian, Gemini - No Trigger]
"I call Oracle Guardian, Red Eye and Battle Maiden Tagitsuhime!"
The red-painted fox and the naginata-wielding maiden appear on both sides of Tsukuyomi. [Oracle Guardian, Red Eye - 9000 Power] [Battle Maiden, Tagitsuhime - 9000 Power]
"Red-Eye attacks Mirror Demon!" The fox conjures flames around itself, hurling them at the mirror.
I see, so that's what she's aiming for...Asaka thought contemplatively. "Then I guard with Big League Bear!" The bear formed, standing in the way of the flames and was incinerated. [Shield: 8000 Power + 5000 Shield = 13000 Power]
"Bear's skill. Soulcharge!"
[Soulcharge: Rainbow Magician - Draw Trigger]
[Soulcharge: Midnight Bunny - No Trigger]
"Goddess of the Half Moon attacks Crimson!" The priest flies down on her hawk, sword in hand.
"No Guard"
"Drive Check. No Trigger"
[Drive Check: CEO Amaterasu - No Trigger]
"Damage Check." The card flashed red. "Draw Trigger. I give the power to Crimson, then draw." [Crimson Beast Tamer - 13000 Power]
[Damage Check: Rainbow Magician - Draw Trigger]
"Tagitsuhime attacks Mirror Demon!" The maiden jumps forward, naginata in hand, and cleaves the mirror, along with the clown inside it, in half.
"I end my turn"
(Stands)
"Why was she always going after the rearguard this turn?"
"Its preparing for next turn. Remember how she lost last time?"
"You mean being able to call units out of the soul and attack consecutively?"
"Yeah, so getting rid of the rear-guards will help her survive next turn better"
(Back to the fight)
"You really were afraid of the Deadly Shadow Beast, weren't you? However, as we go into the third act, I don't think that it will do you much good! Now on to my circus' third act!"
