There she was. The little girl, the little monster, the Gaiaphage. She looked at Dekka with her evil grin. Dekka was bleeding heavily and was feeling weak. Gaia began to advance on Dekka but then Brianna came in with her signature breeze following. Brianna let out a sickening scream and fell to the ground.

Dekka woke up, her heart pounding and drenched in sweat. She looked around and sighed with relief. "It's over, it's okay," she said to herself. These nightmares were a regular occurrences for Dekka. After having escaped the FAYZ, she had been scarred mentally and physically. She had lost a lot of close people, the first one coming to mind being Brianna. Thinking of Brianna made Dekka tear up. Brianna or 'the Breeze' as she'd been known in the FAYZ was a hero. She's fought many battles with her super speed. Dekka had loved Brianna and even though the Breeze would never be able to reciprocate these feelings, Dekka was content with just being friends with her. No she couldn't even be that.

For the first few months after Brianna's death, Dekka had felt empty. She didn't see any purpose in her life and had suffered from severe depression. She had tried on one occasion to kill herself, but failed. She was slowly beginning to recover with frequent counselling and medication. She didn't mind the counselling or the meds, it gave her something to think about and deal with other than Brianna. Dekka knew that she couldn't get back to sleep after the nightmares, so she decided to prepare herself for another day of counselling.

Dekka walked into the psychologists office and picked up a magazine. Her psychologist was always late, so she had plenty of time. Usually she just spent the time reading, but today something was different. She looked up and she froze. Across from her was the most beautiful girl she had ever seen. The girl looked up at Dekka and smiled. She walked over and sat next to her. "Hi, um, aren't you one of the girls that survived the Perdido Beach thing?" Dekka was shocked. "Ye-yeah, I am," Dekka stammered. "Sorry for asking, it's just you look familiar from the news reports and stuff. I don't want to bring back painful memories or anything, but are you beginning to feel ok?" Dekka didn't know what it was about the girl, but she opened up to her like she hadn't to anyone for a while. She just listened and seemed like she understood, even though no one would ever be able to understand the horrors that Dekka had been through in the FAYZ. "I am so sorry to hear about Brianna, she sounds like an amazing person,"

"Hazel?" The receptionist enquired. The girl stood up and turned to leave. "I'd love to keep talking to you. Here' sky number. Call me and we can catch up later," she gave Dekka a crumpled piece of paper and followed the receptionist through. Dekka still in shock stammered "Thanks… Hazel".
