Author's Note: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I don't even know where to begin. I'm not that fast of a writer, my time management skills are horrible. There's so much I want to be doing, trying to find time for it all is difficult. Thanks of course to Smeg for the beta. As usual I've been keeping on him to get the next chapter of Holiday Happenings done, which should have been out on Christmas, but it's having little effect. I'd expect it sometime after Pitch Perfect 2. I'll be starting the next chapter of Six Inches to the Left this week sometime, no clue when it'll be done but it WILL be finished don't worry. One brief thing I want to mention, the other week I realized this bears a bit of a resemblance to the song Nobody In His Right Mind Would've Left Her, but believe it or not, that was completely unintentional. Anyway, on with the story.

"Good morning sunshine!" Jesse happily greeted Beca as she handed him his coffee.

"Is it really?" Beca asked glumly, taking her seat behind her desk. "I saw them today. In all their domestic bliss."

"Who….oh." Jesse said when it dawned on him. "Wasn't it only a matter of time?"

"Maybe. I don't know. I just…" Beca started, searching for the right words. "I just can't stand how she's moving on with her life like we never happened."

"Does this have anything to do with what you need help with?" Jesse asked, starting to put the pieces together.

"It does, but we can talk about it later." Beca brushed it aside. "I saw in the material you sent me Sarah Marshall's the female lead, maybe we might want to consider some A.D.D. especially since their new album would release around the same time as the movie."

"And I'm sure it's got nothing to do with the fact that Stacie's labeled Sarah and Amelia the new lesbian 'It' couple." Jesse joked as he thought things over.

"Of course it doesn't." Beca rolled her eyes. "Seriously though isn't that the kind of thing the marketing people love?"

"I guess it is, you have any demos I can check out, see if it's got the right tone we're looking for?" Jesse asked.

"Not yet, they're still in the writing phase, when I have something I'll let you know." Beca said before taking a drink of her coffee. "I do have some mixes I've been working on, there might be something you'd like that could work for the movie." She added, transferring the files to a flashdrive. "Mary Elise and I did some of the vocals."

"Great, I'll listen to it later." Jesse said "So is everything ok? What is it you wanted to talk about?"

"I take it we're done talking about the movie?" Beca asked

"We've hit the major stuff yeah, we'll talk more about it as things start to solidify." Jesse said "What is this thing you need from me?"

"Like I said, it hurts that she's moving on with her life as if we were nothing." Beca said.

"I really just did that didn't I?" Chloe asked, still crying after Beca left her apartment for the last time. "I broke her heart, I'm a monster."

"You're far from a monster." Aubrey said, pulling the redhead into a hug. "If you were, you wouldn't be feeling like you are."

"But I just broke her heart out of the blue clear sky!" Chloe wailed as the blonde stroked her back.

"It really was for the best." Aubrey said pulling away. "Do you think you'd really be able to handle the distance for three years?"

"For her, I'd try." Chloe said. "I've never felt anything for anyone like I feel for her."

"What about Tom?" Aubrey asked.

"Tom's gay." Chloe said. "I've only ever been his beard."

"So the shower when you first heard Beca?" Aubrey asked.

"He was hoping someone would see us so people would talk." Chloe explained. "Everything we've ever done is for show."

"Why did you put up with it?" Aubrey asked, surprised. "You've never hidden your preferences."

"I never had a reason not to, till Beca." Chloe said. "She came around and really, I knew I found what I've been looking for. But I cursed the universe for making her three years younger. If we were the same age, I wouldn't have to have done this, we could go to L.A. together."

"I don't think you were nothing, I was there, I saw your relationship." Jesse pointed out. "She loved you, a part of her probably still does."

"That's the kind of person Chloe is, and one of the many reasons I was drawn to her." Beca said, finishing her coffee and throwing the cup in the can near her desk. "If she's going to move on with her life, so am I. I want to have a baby."

"A baby?" Jesse asked, surprised. "Not that I don't think you'll make an awesome mom, but… You're gay. Very gay."

"Hence why I'm talking to you." Beca said. "I'd rather get help from a friend than go somewhere and not know what I'm getting. You'd be perfect, and you wouldn't have to be involved at all if you don't want to be. You could be cool Uncle Jesse, at least till we felt the little one could understand what's going on."

"I'm sure you can appreciate I need some time to think it over right?" Jesse asked.

"I can't give a lot of time." Beca started. "We're pretty much at prime time for it to happen right now."

"Can you give me a day at least?" Jesse asked.

"You know, I think you'd be all for it, considering how in to me you were when you first saw me." Beca pointed out.

"I had no clue who you were, you just happened to be standing around while female when the car stopped and Wayward Son was on." Jesse pointed out.

"You said we'd have aca-children at aca-initiation night." Beca pointed out.

"About three seconds before you informed me of your gayness." Jesse added. "And wasn't that the night things started with Chloe?"

"I am so glad that I met you." Chloe said, leaning in close to Beca's face. "I think that we're going to be really fast friends."

"Yeah. Well you saw me naked so…" Beca replied with a wink.

"And what a sight it was." Chloe responded, a grin spreading across her face. "It hadn't been for Tom… Things probably would have gone a lot differently. Especially since I could tell you liked what you saw."

"Did I now?" Beca asked playfully.

"You did, you were checking me out." Chloe confirmed with a nod. "What do you say we go some place and you can check me out again?"

"We barely know each other." Beca pointed out. "And we have to spend so much time together between now and May."

"So? Like we'd be the first girls to just jump into bed together." Chloe replied with a giggle. "Besides, I have my way, it's not going to be some one night fling. This is college, join in. And it's not like we'd be the only ones, look at the way Stacie's eyeing Aubrey. I'd wager it's only going to be a matter of hours before the two of them see each other naked for the first time. At least we've already done that."

"Well we can't go back to my room." Beca said as she took in the looks Aubrey and Stacie were giving each other. "Kimmy Jin and I haven't had this talk yet, so I don't know what our protocol is or if she'd be there or anything."

"Come back to my place silly." Chloe said, kissing Beca's cheek. "Aubrey and I have an apartment together, I have my own room. Besides, I'm betting you didn't bring any fun stuff with you. I have all kinds."

"How can I say no to an offer like that?" Beca asked, letting Chloe grab her hand and lead her up the steps.

"I don't see what that's got to do anything, it's just a coincidence." Beca pointed out. "And I still have a vagina, you've got a dick, man up and do it."

"You're suggesting that we go the old fashioned route? Have you ever even been with a man?" Jesse asked. "I don't want you to give up your gold star on a whim."

"It's not entirely a whim." Beca said running a hand through her hair. "Use a cup if you want then, it's what I had been thinking anyway."

"Just give me a day please?" Jesse asked. "I think we could both use it. I'm not saying no, you just have to admit this is a big decision."

"It is." Beca agreed. "You know my life better than anyone, how likely is it I'm going to fall madly in love with another woman?"

"You never know what life's going to bring." Jesse said. "Who's to say you or I won't meet some cute girl from another department at an office party, sleep with her, and hit things off with her?"

"You do know movies aren't life right?" Beca asked.

"I'm thinking that's more a sitcom." Jesse said with a laugh. "Seriously though, give me a day. Like I said I'm not saying no. And I said in my text whatever it was is yours."

"Fine, a day. It'll give me time to make arrangements anyway." Beca said.

"Benji!" Chloe called out as he joined her at the table she was sitting at.

"Good to see you Chloe." Benji said as he hugged her. "Tom joining us?" he asked, looking around for him.

"No, he's not." Chloe said as she sat back down. "Let's order lunch first and then talk."

"Sure." Benji nodded as the waitress came. "Let me get a Coke and a honey barbecue chicken wrap."

"I'll have the same but with lemonade instead of a Coke please." Chloe ordered. The waitress nodded and headed off to put in their order. "So how are things in your world?"

"Good, looks like I'll be getting a part in the new Sarah Marshall movie thanks to Jessie." Benji said.

"That's fantastic!" Chloe said. "How is he, I haven't seen him in ages."

"He's good, loves working at the studio." Benji said as their drinks were delivered.

"I saw Beca today." Chloe said. "Most random of happenings, as much as I've wanted it."

"She took the breakup rather hard." Benji said. "Not that she really showed it, you know how she is."

"You probably know her better than I do by now." Chloe said sadly. "That's the first I've seen her since we broke up."

"She's pretty much the same Beca you dated." Benji added. "Very guarded and closed off, mostly focused on her music. The biggest difference is her mopey-ness. Thankfully she let Stacie in."

"If it's any consolation, I feel horrible." Chloe said. "I thought I was doing the right thing."

"It's weird, she wanted so badly to come out here, and if she would have you'd still be together." Benji said. "She chose to stay, mainly for the Bellas granted, but.."

"But she did stay." Chloe cut him off, nodding in agreement. "Though that was also partly because I encouraged her to finish her education. Doesn't stop me from feeling bad."

"Nor should it." Benji said. "So what is it you wanted to talk about?" He asked when their food was brought over.

"This." Chloe said as she pulled up the text she was going to send to Beca and showed it to Benji. "I wanted so badly to send this to Beca, but Tom asked me not to."

"What's this have to do with me?" Benji asked as he handed Chloe her phone back.

"I told Tom I'm tired of being his beard." Chloe said "I don't want to live a lie anymore. It's Beca I want to be with, always has been. I made a mistake, and I want to fix it. Tom says he's not ready to come out, but I told him he's got two and a half months to get ready, that we won't be together when the baby's born."

"Aren't you concerned about how that will look from a PR stand point?" Benji asked. "Him coming out and you breaking up right before the birth?"

"It's crossed my mind. I should probably talk to Aubrey about all this." Chloe nodded "It's just… You have no idea what the last few years have been like for me. Who am I supposed to turn to? A few times I've been so desperate I've thought of begging Aubrey for pity sex, but if we had those kind of feelings for each other, we'd have done something long before I even met Beca."

"I'm so sorry Chloe, I had no idea." Benji said as he listened to the redhead's explanation.

"I knew what I was getting into when Tom suggested this after Beca and I broke up." Chloe said "I just didn't think it would be this hard. We do care for each other but…"

"He sleeps with me and not you." Benji finished for her. "This hasn't been easy on me either you know. I've had to keep this from my best friend because the two of you don't want it to get back to Beca or Stacie."

"Well, hopefully you won't have to much longer." Chloe said. "Tom cares for you a great deal, I don't know if it's the same as Beca and I, but I think you could have something. I was thinking, if you started urging him to come out, he'd listen to you."

"He might." Benji nodded as he thought things over. "Are you sure this is what you want? This could blow up In our faces."

"What couldn't?" Chloe asked "For Beca, it's worth it. Every time I hear her name in the news, I just light up. It's her I want in my life. It's her I want a family with. "

"I'm in." Benji said. "Beca's a good friend, I want her happy."

"She is." Chloe nodded "You should have seen her smile when you started singing with the Trebles for the first time."

"You asked Jesse to knock you up?" Stacie asked as she sat down next to Beca at their usual table at Track 9, the bar they frequented. "What the hell are you thinking?"

"I'm thinking it's about time I move on with my life." Beca repeated the reason she gave Jesse.

"Never mind that you have no one else in your life." Stacie pointed out. "Have you slept with anyone other than me in the last five years?"

"Why do you ask questions you already know the answer to?" Beca asked.

"So you'll at least think about the answer even if you're not going to vocalize it." Stacie replied.

"Contrary to what the hard core right wing religious zealots think, you don't need two people to raise a child." Beca said before taking a drink of her beer.

"You're right, you don't." Stacie agreed. "But that wasn't my point. Sweetie, you're only 24 years old, that's like the new 16. Only you can drink and vote and stuff. You're young, you should be having fun."

"I have fun." Beca defended herself. "Not everyone's definition of fun is the same."

"You're going to Atlanta this weekend to scout some new band right?" Stacie asked, letting out a sigh.

"Yeah, I leave Thursday, come back Sunday." Beca said, raising an eyebrow at the turn in the conversation.

"I want to go with you." Stacie said. "It's been awhile since I've been back."

"I guess if you really want to." Beca said with a shrug. "I'm staying at my dad's."

"Not that I don't like your dad, but get a hotel room." Stacie said. "I think that major record label you work for can afford it."

"I'll have my assistant make the arrangements." Beca said with a sigh, knowing Stacie wouldn't back down. "My flight leaves at 8 AM."

"I promise you, you won't regret this." Stacie said with a smile.

"Oh trust me, I already do." Beca said as she sent an email to her assistant letting her know to book a room and to try and get Stacie on her flight.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Jesse asked as he drove Beca back to her apartment after her ob-gyn appointment.

"What's to talk about?" Beca asked as she watched the buildings go by. "I'm not ovulating yet."

"I know, but you were so pumped for it to happen." Jesse said.

"I still am." Beca replied. "That's why I ordered that nifty tester they suggested. Hopefully it won't happen till Stacie and I get back from Atlanta. Thanks for telling her by the way. Do you have a problem with this?"

"Don't be mad Beca, I thought you would have told her, as close as you two are." Jesse defended himself. "I'm on board completely."

"But you had to have known how she'd react." Beca pointed out. "You should have known she'd freak out."

"I know she's your 'friend with benefits' and all, but is she going to be little Billy or Penny's other mommy?" Jesse asked.

"You know those aren't the names I'd pick right?" Beca asked, receiving silence from Jesse as he waited for her to answer his question. "I doubt it. I don't want a relationship and The Hunter would never let Stacie settle down."

"You don't want a relationship NOW." Jesse emphasized. "But you never know what's down the road. Except most of the roads around here, then it's usually just more traffic. Seriously though, my point is, if she's not going to be more than Aunt Stacie, why does her opinion matter? You know when it comes, she'd love the hell out of Luke or Leia."

"Ok, you may be providing the genetic material, but you're so not picking names." Beca said as Jesse parked in front of her building. "Thanks for everything today, you still ok to take us to the airport tomorrow?"

"You're welcome Be-caw." He said with a laugh. "And of course I am, it's one of the benefits I can offer that you'll accept."

"There are my girls!" Beca's dad greeted Beca and Stacie as they entered his home. "How was your flight?"

"Uneventful." Beca said as her father hugged her.

"Yeah, thankfully I had a Surface full of books to read." Stacie chimed in as she got a hug of her own. "Thanks for having us for dinner Dr. Mitchell."

"Stacie, how many times do I have to tell you call me Chris, or Dad?" he teased. "But you're welcome, I like to take care of my girls when I can. Everything's ready, have a seat at the table."

"Where's Shelia?" Stacie asked as the followed him to the table.

"She had to go to Orlando on business." Chris explained as he headed for the oven. "It's just the three of us tonight."

"You really didn't have to go all this trouble." Beca said as he sat the pan of chicken alfredo lasagna in the middle of the table.

"Since you moved to L.A. I only get to see you a few times a year, I can't think of a better way to get caught up than over dinner. Go on, I'll get the wine." Chris said as he moved to open a bottle. "How is everything going out there?"

"Pretty much status quo." Beca said as she dished out some of the lasagna. "Work, sleep, repeat."

"There's got to be more going on than that." Chris said when he finally sat done. "What's going on with you two, you ever going to settle down and give me some grandkids?"

"It's funny you should ask that." Beca said as Stacie choked on her wine. "I ran into Chloe and her husband on Tuesday."

"Whatever you did, thank you, the Braves put a beating on them that night. Tom had a horrible game" Chris interrupted.

"I really only talked to Chloe briefly." Beca said. "But seeing her for the first time in so long, when she's clearly moving on with her life, got me thinking about my own. So I asked Jesse to help me have a baby."

"That's great Beca." Chris said before glancing at conspicuously quiet Stacie. "So does this mean you two are settling down?"

"There are no plans for her to be more than Aunt Stacie." Beca explained. "I'm not really interested in doing the relationship thing with anyone but Chloe."

"And I have no plans on settling down anytime soon." Stacie added. "Not that I don't…care deeply for Beca. She's my best friend."

"Well I think you'd be great together." Chris said. "I couldn't think of anyone better for Becs."

"Stacie's against the baby plan Dad." Beca spoke up.

"I just think she should wait." Stacie defended herself. "Beca will make a great mom, I have no doubt about that, but it's not like she's in her forties, even if she acts like it sometimes."

"Shouldn't I be able to live my life the way I want to?" Beca asked. "I am an adult after all."

"You're a gay adult." Stacie amended. "I never told you this, but I had a pregnancy scare, right before semis junior year. You've never had to deal with something like that."

"I thought something was off with you then." Beca said as she thought back. "You're right, I haven't faced anything like that."

"Well whatever you decide, I'll be here for you." Chris said, reaching out to squeeze Beca's hand. "You too Stacie."

"I really don't want to be doing this." Beca protested as they parked in front of the Bellas' house on Barden's campus.

"This is why I came though, to make you come here. You need this Beca." Stacie said. "You're my best friend and I love you. I agree you need to move on, but having a baby just because your ex-girlfriend is, is not the way to do it. In that house is a dozen or so hot college chicks, I'm sure there'll be a few you can have your pick of. Have some fun. When we get back to L.A. have more fun. Don't just throw in the towel now. You'll find someone new."

"Why? So they can just up and leave me too?" Beca asked, tears forming in her eyes. "Been there, done that, I'll pass."

"Beca." Stacie said, pulling the shorter girl into a hug. "Not everybody leaves. Look at my parents, and Jesse's. They're still happily married."

"Chloe loved me and then she ran back to Tom!" Beca cried out, her tears finally falling. "Now she's having his baby. She should be having mine!"

"That's not really possible Becs." Stacie teased. "Come on, it's initiation night, let's go in and have some fun. Aren't you curious as to our legacy? Don't you want to see who'll be drinking out blood? I fully intend to bed a current Bella tonight you should too."

"I make no such promise." Beca said as she and Stacie got out of the car.

"You're here though." Stacie said as they walked up to the door and rang the bell.

"STACIE! BECA!" Samantha, one of the current captains of the Bellas called out as she opened the door.

"Hey Sam." Stacie said as the blonde hugged them. "Beca has business in town tomorrow night, I tagged along so we could be here for this."

"I think you'll be proud of the girls we picked." Sam said. "Hannah and the sophomores are out rounding them up while the juniors and I prepare."

"Excellent, I can't wait." Stacie said as Sam lead them into the house. "I like what you've done with the place."

"We wouldn't have it if it weren't for the two of you." Sam said. "You're legends here."

"I don't know about legends." Beca said simply as she looked around.

"Humble, I like it." Sam said as her phone chirped. "That's Lindsay, new girls will be here soon."

"Remember when you thought it was actual blood." Stacie teased as they waited in the candlelit room for the new girls to be brought in.

"Yeah, Aubrey was just a little too freaky, I could have totally seen her doing it." Beca defended herself.

"You know it still bugs me I never did get a crack at Aubrey." Stacie said softly as they heard footsteps nearing them. They hushed up as the two new Bellas were put in position, pillow cases over their heads.

"Ladies, I present the two newest Bellas." Sam started as she moved behind where the girls stood so she could pull off the pillow cases. "Kavindra and Elizabeth."

"LIZZIE BEALE!?" Beca cried out in surprise as she saw Chloe's younger sister smiling as she looked around the room. "Sorry, go on."

"We shall begin by drinking the blood of the sisters that came before you." Sam said as she handed the goblet to first Kavindra and then Lizzie.

"And now, I present to you the most important bit of Bella tradition, your scarves." Hannah spoke up as she handed the girls the yellow and blue scarves. Glancing towards where Stacie and Beca stood she added. "These are the most vital link we share to the Bellas of old. Please place them in your right hand."

"I, sing your name," Sam continued, which the girls did, "Promise to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a Bella Woman. And I promise never to have sexual relations with a High Note, or may my vocal chords be ripped out by wolves."

"You are both Bellas now." Hannah said proudly as one of the juniors moved to turn on the lights. Both girls proudly hugged each other as the others surrounded to congratulate them.

"What's with the thing about the High Notes?" Beca asked curiously, having been surprised by the addition."

"After you left, the High Notes were taken over by this self righteous hipster girl. She totally transformed them, adding in her douchey hipster friends, they became so insufferable and annoying." Sam explained, looking between Beca and Stacie. "I heard about the oath Aubrey made you guys take and it just made sense."

"Just be careful with it." Beca warned. "We lost two good girls to ours."

"We will." Sam nodded, glancing at her co-captain who was trying to get her attention. "I have to go talk to Hannah, then we'll be heading to the initiation night party."

"Did you know about this?" Beca asked quietly as she nodded towards Lizzie.

"No I swear." Stacie said. "The way she's looking at you though, I think we found your girl. Which is good, because I'm liking Kavindra."

"Can't we just go back to the hotel and entertain ourselves?" Beca whispered seductively into Stacie's ear.

"Maybe tomorrow night." Stacie said, pulling away. "I'm not having sex with you ever again until you've added another notch to your belt, Bella or otherwise. C'mon, let's go to the party, drink and dance."

"Yeah right." Beca scoffed. "I know you too well baby."

"I'm so glad you're here." Lizzie said as sat down next to Beca who was watching Barden's a capella community enjoying themselves. "I've missed you, we all do."

"I've missed you all too." Beca said, taking a sip of her beer. "You've certainly grown up quite nice. Last time I saw you, you were this freckle-faced thirteen year old."

"You're still as hot as you ever where." Lizzie said, smiling from the compliment. "I used to be so jealous of Chloe, truth be told I had a bit of a crush on you back then. She said she saw you the other day"

"Yeah, ran into her and Tom when I was getting coffee." Beca nodded.

"How was that the first time you've seen her in so long?" Lizzie asked "You both go to the Grammys."

"Liz, it's complicated." Beca said with a sigh. "She tore my heart out that day, and then when she ran back to Tom…What was I supposed to think?"

"I see your point." Lizzie said with a nod, sliding closer to Beca. "You know, there's far too many people here, let's go back to the house so we can talk some more in private."

Scanning the crowd and seeing Stacie dancing closely with Kavindra, Beca finished her beer with one gulp and took Lizzie's hand. "Sure, why the hell not?"

The walk back to the Bellas' House was filled with idle chit chat, mostly Beca pointing out things that had changed since she'd graduated. Once they got back to the house they soon found an empty room.

"This was mine and Stacie's." Beca said as she looked around the lifeless room waiting to be decorated by its future inhabitants. "It'll no doubt be yours now."

"I like that thought. I like the idea that what once was Stacie's is mine now." Lizzie said with a smile as she moved closer to Beca, her hands going for the button on the brunette's jeans as she leaned in and kissed her.
