You were pretty nice and relaxed during your time staying with your family. It had been great and fun. You didn't reveal your place of work to them (and you honestly never would). However, you did tell them about Kouha and your relationship. Needless to say, your parents were very shocked to figure this out, but when they met Kouha and saw how much you two loved each other, they made sure to make him feel very welcomed. So now, Kouha was with you in your room at your parents' house, and you were both getting ready for bed. The next morning you both would head over to his family's house and spend some time over there. You knew after the Christmas festivities you would have to go back to work for a bit, next would be Sinbad's intimate get together, and lastly would be celebrating New Year's. "I didn't bring your gift with me, babe, but you'll see it when we head back," Kouha mused as he sat at your vanity applying a toner on his face. Kouha had made sure to bring his travel-sized beauty items with him.

"It's fine, Kouha," you told him, "You honestly really didn't need to get me anything..." To be honest, you were happy that he hadn't brought his present with him because you had not bought one for him yet. You did feel bad about it, but it had been difficult deciding on something. Your best bet would be to have Kougyoku come shopping with you the second you made it to the Ren house. Kouha probably wouldn't mind if you went to hang out with his sister.

"Oh trust me, babe, I did need to," Kouha told you as he stood up from where he was sitting. He walked over to you and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you to him and kissing you softly on the lips. "Besides, you got something for me after all~." He chuckled slightly and put a hand on your ass, giving it a firm squeeze. That caught you off guard and made you slightly jump in surprise.

"Kouha...you know that me having sex with you isn't my gift to you, right?" you asked him.

"[Name], you're the only thing I really need~. I don't need anything else from you," he tangled one of his hands in your hair at the side of your head, the other arm was still wrapped around your waist as he started to kiss and suck at your neck. You moaned softly and couldn't help but to slightly push yourself against him.

"But it's noooot my gift to you," you whined this time. Kouha gave one more kiss to the side of your neck before pulling back to look at you.

"Okay then, babe," he smiled to you, "So what did you get me then, hm?" You really hoped that you would be able to find something perfect for him. It might end up being a difficult task, but hopefully you would get it done.

"I-I'm not telling you. I'll give it to you later when we go to your family's house," you quickly said. Once again you were really grateful that he hadn't brought yours with him. You hoped that you weren't being a bad fiance by not having a gift ready for him yet. Kouha chuckled a bit at your words and pulled you closer to him again.

"I guess I deserve that for not being better prepared, don't I?" he leaned in and kissed at your lips again. "Well, anyway, it's about time for bed, babe. We'll have to start driving early tomorrow if we want to make it to my family's house on time." You nodded in agreement before going over and getting in your bed, having already gotten ready for it in the time before your little conversation with Kouha. Kouha got in at the other side and pulled you to him, cuddling close to you. Sleeping in the same bed as Kouha was something that you had gotten used to ever since you both got engaged. Sleeping with him was really nice, in your opinion, and you liked it. You were sure, though, that during the duration of the night Kouha would find his hand in a very compromising position, not move it, and then you two would end up having sex. You knew that you would probably feel weird having sex under the same roof as your family, but you do remember doing it with Kouha at the Ren mansion several times with his family there.

Finally it was the next day...or rather that was what the alarm on Kouha's phone indicated to you. It was still pretty dark outside as it was about six in the morning. You knew that Kouha said it would be best to leave at seven in the morning, so you had about an hour to get ready. Kouha groaned as he rubbed at his eyes. He grabbed his phone from the night table next to him and turned the alarm off before sinking back into your bed, "I'm way too exhausted," he said, voice sounding very sleepy, "Why don't we just go back sleep and leave whenever we wake up." He smiled deviously as he turned to lay facing you. "We probably won't get there until nightfall, but at least we won't have to wake up now." You giggled softly at his words.

"Come on, babe. We should start getting ready like now," you told him as you sat up and started to uncover yourself. Kouha pulled you right back down on the bed, holding you close to him. Since you were both currently naked, you could feel all of him on you, making your face a bit flushed.

"Just five minutes, [Name], come on," he whined to you. You gave him an apologetic smile and kissed his temple.

"Sorry, Kouha, but five minutes will turn into five MORE minutes," you told him before sitting up again and sliding out of your bed. You luckily found a nearby robe and pulled it onto your body, "Let's go, babe!" Kouha rubbed at his eyes a bit more and groaned in annoyance. You rose an eyebrow, looking down at him before saying, "Alright, we'll I'm going to take a shower," and heading to your bathroom. That immediately made Kouha perk up and get out of bed to join you.

You both managed to finish getting ready with about ten minutes to spare. When you walked out of your room, everything was still dark, meaning that everyone in your family was probably still sleeping. You made sure to tell Kouha to be as quiet as possible as you moved through your house with all of your bags. All of the Christmas decorations that your family had were still up. The Christmas tree was also still up in the living room, and all of the lights on it were on. It was a tall fake green tree with very pretty decorations on your opinion. You honestly had enjoyed your time at your family home, and you were going to make sure to visit again the next chance you got. "Ready to go, babe?" Kouha asked you, tugging his car keys out of his pocket. You took your eyes away from your surroundings and looked back at Kouha, nodding.

"Mhmm, we should probably get going now," you answered. Once at the house's entrance, you opened the door as quietly as you could, and you and Kouha loaded up all of your bags into the back seat of the car he was driving. You were a bit surprised to realize that it was a taupe SUV. "What happened to your Lambo?" you asked.

"Sweetie that car is not good for carrying a lot of bags," he explained to you, closing the car door to the back seat, "I felt like this was a much better choice for the trip." You couldn't help but to raise an eyebrow at that as you both got into the car.

"Okay...but like where did this SUV come from?" you couldn't help but to ask.

"It was just one that was in my family's garage. Hakuei and Kougyoku usually use it for overnight spa trips and for huge shopping halls," Kouha shrugged, "Hakuei suggested I use it for this." This made you sigh and rub at your eyes a bit.

"Wow, I'm going to have to get used to your family," you said, mostly to yourself. Kouha started up the car and began driving. He glanced over at you when you had spoken.

"Hm? Did you say something, babe?" he asked you.

"Nothing of importance," you replied. You couldn't help but to think, though, that with this long trip maybe it might be the best time to start up the finance conversation that you wanted to have with Kouha. You knew that communication was what was best for relationships. "Actually Kouha...I should tell you...I'm kind of uncomfortable with our wealth differences."

"Wait, still?" Kouha asked you, taking you a bit by surprise.

"What do you mean 'still'?" you questioned. Kouha let out a sigh at your words.

"[Name], before we got engaged you made it very clear that you did not want me to spoil you because I was just your boyfriend," he told you, "We're going to get married now so what's the issue?" His words made you want to roll your eyes in annoyance.

"Kouha, I'm fine with you buying me things and such...I'm just not comfortable with our wealth differences. I mean you're really rich if you haven't noticed," you pointed out to him. Kouha laughed a bit at your words, making your narrow your eyes.

"I'm sorry for laughing, babe," he told you, "It's just amusing to me. Look, hon, you're going to be my wife. It's not just me, it's 'us' now, alright? And if opening up a joint bank account early will make you feel less awkward than we can do that. It'll be your money, too." Your rubbed at your temples.

"I don't want to...not yet, anyway...That would make me feel worse," you explained to him. Kouha let out a sigh.

"Alright then, [Name]. I won't shop high-end around you until we're married then if that'll make you feel better," he compromised, "I do, however, want to be able to buy you nice things."

"Only on special occasions until we're married?" you added on, looking at him with a raised eyebrow. Kouha glanced at you briefly before looking back at the road before him.

"Wait, really?"

"Kouha...," you whined.

"Alright, alright," he sighed, "But just until then. You'll get used to it, though, babe, trust me. I mean I know you love your independence, but you should also know that I love taking care of those I care about." You looked at him and smiled softly.

"Believe me, I know," you said, "But you need to give me time."

"I will, babe." With one break at a nice cafe in between driving, you and Kouha arrived at the Ren mansion in about six hours and a half. You were kind of in awe at how beautifully decorated it was on the outside, and you were more than sure that it would look even better at night. There were decorated Christmas trees all about the big yard which were about six feet high. Among them were plastic candy canes and other decorations such as a life-sized sleigh and accompanying reindeer. At the entrance of the mansion were these two giant Christmas trees on each side of the grand front door. Everything looked as if it were out of a luxury magazine. Even the snow looked nice and not all slushy. You looked at all of the decorations until they were taken from your view once Kouha drove into the garage. "You know, you don't have to spend the night here if you don't want to, babe. We can always go to your apartment so we can be alone~," he smirked.

"Sorry, but I promised Kougyoku that I would have a sleepover with her since I would already be here," you told him. You remembered how happy she always was when you spent the night at the Ren mansion or when she did at your place. Kougyoku was pretty fun to hang out with, and she did always give you great fashion advice...although so did Kouha to be honest.

"Alright, but please tell me that you'll be sleeping in my bed," Kouha mused as he turned the car off. You just laughed a bit in amusement.

"I'm not making any promises~." The pout that Kouha gave you was rather expected, but you just got out of the car and made your way to the backseat to take your bags out. You just had about two with you. You knew that you'd need enough items for both your family home and spending time at the Ren mansion. You expected to be there just for the twenty-seventh, which was the current day, and the twenty-eighth because you had to go back to work on the twenty-ninth. The twenty-ninth was also the day of Sinbad's little get together.

Once you both got your bags and went into the mansion, you were greeted with the wonderful smell of gingerbread. You followed Kouha down the long hall-way that connected the garage to the rest of the house. Once out of it, you looked around with amazed eyes. There were string-lights, garland, and beautiful Christmas decorations everywhere. It was truly beautiful in your opinion, and once again it looked like something out of a magazine. You quickly snapped out of it as you noticed that Kouha obviously hadn't stopped to stare like you had and was leaving the area to put his bags in his room. You quickly walked over to catch up, but once again you came to a full stop once you reached the room that held the Ren's beautiful twin staircases. Right in the middle and reaching up to the second floor of the mansion was this beautiful, grand live Christmas tree. There was even a little moving train underneath it. "Do you like it? It took like foreeevvver to decorate. Oh! Wait, Ha why didn't you invite [Name] to decorate with us?!" You looked over to the source of the voice and noticed Kouha's step-brother, Hakuren standing next to you with a mug of coffee in his hand.

"Because she was with her own family, duh," Kouha replied, halfway up the stairs, making you realize that you had stopped again.

"Oh, but she's our family too, now! Or at least practically anyway," Hakuren pouted. You giggled slightly, being reminded of why you liked being around the Rens so much. They were really kind and fun people.

"Yeah, we'll all be family soon," you nodded.

"That's right! And we have yet to throw you two an engagement party," Hakuren agreed, "Kougyoku has already thought up some pretty good ideas, but they're all ones for Spring."

"Ugh, Gyoku doesn't have good taste!" Kouha called from over the upstairs balcony, "Don't listen to her!" You giggled a bit again before turning to Hakuren.

"I should go put my bags up," you mused, "And, are you guys making gingerbread cookies or something? The smell is very present." Even where you stood you could still smell it. You weren't complaining though, as it was a very pleasant smell. Everything just seemed to be warm and Christmas-like even though Christmas had been two days ago. You wondered how the Ren mansion had been on actual Christmas...

"Well, Ryuu did make a bunch not too long ago, but Ei and Gyoku had put up a bunch of gingerbread fragrances around the house," Hakuren shrugged, "Oh! If you want some, they're in the kitchen."

"Noted," you nodded, "I'll see you later." You have a curt wave before grabbing your bags again and going up the stairs. Kouha had already made it to his room and he was unpacking...or so you thought. Once you got into his room you noticed that it looked so very bare at least of personal items. The decorations, television, bed, sofa, etc. were all still in there but items like his laptop, extra beauty supplies, books, etc were missing. It even seemed like there were less clothes in his room somehow. "Uh..." you put your bags down and looked around the room, "It looks a little bare in here."

"I've just been doing a lot of cleaning," Kouha waved off as he sat down on his bed turning on Netflix on his TV, "So, babe, what do you want to-"

"[Name]! There you are!" Kougyoku chirped as she barged into Kouha's room, who was now looking a bit annoyed, "You wouldn't believe what I got for Christmas! Go ahead, guess!" She looked like she was about to jump up and down in excitement.

"It's Barbie's car," Kouha said, rolling his eyes.

"Kouha!" Kougyoku whined, crossing her arms with a huff. You laughed in amusement at their cute sibling bickering. Still you did wonder how Christmas was for them being as they could probably buy whatever they wanted at anytime. And with that in mind, you felt your stomach drop since you still needed to get Kouha a gift, but you didn't know what.

"What was it, Kougokyu?" you decided to ask since guessing would be a nightmare for you.

"I'm not lying; she really got Barbie's car," Kouha pointed out, much to Kougyoku's displeasure.

"It's not! At least not really," she said, crossing her arms. At this point, you weren't sure if a car was something that was a big deal or not to them as it would be for you, but you weren't exactly sure what to say, so you just decided to listen.

"You presented a toy barbie car as a model for the present you wanted and Hakuei and Kouen found a place that could customize a pink Porsche Boxter for you so it would look like barbie's car," Kouha told her, "You got Barbie's car."

"W-Well, you don't have to say it like that!" she huffed before turning to you, "It's a cute pink car made to my specifications. Do you want to see it?" You couldn't help but to think that now would probably be the best time to get her help on getting Kouha's present, plus you did actually want to see it.

"Sure!" you smiled, "By the way, Kougyoku, can I get your help with something?" Kouha rose an eyebrow at this, but you just put an arm around Kougyoku and herded her out of the room, making your boyfriend pout childishly.

"Of course, [Name]! I'll help you with whatever you need," Kougyoku smiled happily at you as you both made your way to the stairs and started to go down them, "That's what friends are for after all, right?"

"Mhmm," you nodded, "Anyway, I haven't gotten a gift for Kouha, yet, and I was wondering if you could help me." Kougyoku's eyes went a bit wide when you said that you had yet to get Kouha a gift. It was as if she was being told something that she shouldn't know, but then again you knew that she still had the idea that relationships were all so very nice and magical.

"Oh, don't worry, I'll help you! In fact, we can go and look for one right now for him!" She quickly smiled. You were more than grateful for her help, and you hoped to get this done as soon as you could. But first...you would need to go back upstairs and get your wallet.
