Epilogue

*Twelve Months Later*

Jon and Chasity sat beside each other on the couch, Kaleb between them and a twin in each of their laps, while a camera was set up in front of them with a photographer standing behind it. Kaleb was now fifteen-months-old, and their twins had been born seven months ago. Jon had proposed three months ago, and today they decided to do their engagement and family photos in their condo. Thankfully, one of Chasity's good friends, Alisha, was a free-lance photographer and had agreed to come to the condo to do them, otherwise they likely would've ended up at some portrait studio wearing clothes they were all uncomfortable in and forcing their kids into dressy clothes none of them would've enjoyed.

"Alright, Jon move the baby in your arms over to sit on your left leg and pull Kaleb to sit on your right knee. Once they're situated, Chasity, you move over closer to them and situate the baby you have to sit on your left leg," Alisha instructed. As soon as she's sure they're all situated, she adds "Now Jon wrap your arm around her shoulder as best you can. Lean ever a little bit if you have to." Jon did as she said. "Perfect. I'm gonna try to get as many of the group family shots as possible before I move on to just you two for the engagement portion of the shoot," Alisha informed them. Chasity nodded.

"Sounds good. I'm sure the kids won't last much longer." Alisha shook her head.

"No, probably not," she chuckled as she snapped the next family photo before she grabbed about seven oversize baby blocks that were to be used as props along with a couple of large baby rattles that she laid on each ends of the blocks. Three of the oversized blocks had letters on them and she had set up with K, E & A on display. Each letter represented each child's first initial. Along with the three lettered blocks was four more blocks with numbers one them that she had set up to say '2015' for the year the photo was being taken. "Alright, you guys can stand up. Jon, place Kaleb back in the center of the couch. Once he's sitting, I'll tell you what to do with the twins." They did as instructed, but Kaleb was beginning to get restless. "Wait, Kaleb, look you want to hold the babies," she asked in a soothing, cooing voice. He just gave her a look like she was crazy. "Here, look, hold the baby," Alisha said, nodding in Chasity's direction, encouraging her to place the baby 'in' Kaleb's arms on his right side, wrapping his right arm around the baby's small body. "Okay, Jon, place the other baby on his left side," Alisha instructed as Jon followed his fiancée's lead and put the baby on Kaleb's left side, wrapping his arm securely around the slightly squirmy baby.

"Stay just like that, Kaleb, don't move," Chasity instructed him as Kaleb glanced back and forth between his siblings before looking up toward the adults and smiling as if to say 'ha, I'm a big boy, I'm doing this all by myself'. Alisha shook a rattle to grab the twins' attention and when they looked up she made a funny face to make them smile and laugh as she quickly snapped the photo a few times from a few different angles.

"Perfect," she exclaimed as she began moving props around again. Seeing her son sitting with his siblings in each arm caused Chasity to flashback to the day the twins were born.

"Alright Chasity, I know this is scary because you're delivering early again, but this is normal in a twin pregnancy. They may need some NICU time, but chances are they'll be perfectly fine. If they do need NICU time, it'll be the same length of time as Kaleb. You've been through this, so you're a pro," Doctor Mitchel tried to reassure her. "Now, bare down and push for me," she said. Chasity grabbed Jon's hand and did as the doctor had instructed.

Fifteen minutes and a few several pushes later Chasity finally felt temporary relief as Doctor Mitchel placed a crying baby A on the blanket that was placed strategically on her chest. "There she is. Born early, but fairly big for being two months early," she admitted as the baby continued to scream.

"Doctor Mitchel, is it normal not to feel any pain after the first baby is born," Chasity questioned. Doctor Mitchel chuckled.

"Yes, perfectly normal. It just means Baby B is still a little too high yet. As soon as they move down a little more into your pelvic area you'll start feeling the pressure to push, and likely the some more contractions," she informed her. "For the moment, just try to enjoy your baby girl's screams," she told her as they moved the baby over to the baby warmer to warm her up, weigh her, foot print her and check her over to make sure she wasn't going to require any NICU time.

For fifteen minutes Chasity watched Jon hold their perfect six pound, six ounce baby girl. She enjoyed the amount of time she had to relax while it lasted, but that time came to an end as she started feeling the pressure in her pelvic area followed by sharp contractions. Doctor Mitchel stepped over to the end of her bed again. "Alright Chasity, seems baby B is ready. Are you," she asked, a smile on her face. Chasity threw her head back and cried out in pain.

"I just want the pain to stop. I don't remember it being this bad with Kaleb." Doctor Mitchel laughed.

"It was, you just never remember the pain afterward. That's why people have more than one child," she winked. "Alright, when you feel the pressure, push," she told her. Chasity only had to wait another thirty seconds before she felt more pressure along with another contraction tearing through her body.

"Fuck, this hurts," she cried as she grabbed Jon's now empty hand as she pushed.

"Harder, Chasity," Doctor Mitchel instructed. "Harder, harder. Good job. Now relax for a minute while I guide the baby's head out," she instructed. Chasity threw her head back against the pillows behind her in exhaustion. She was ready for this to be over so she could take a nap.

After another five minutes and a couple more pushes baby B finally arrived, screaming as loud as their twin. "And there's baby B, who is also a girl," Doctor Mitchel announced as she placed the screaming baby on her mother's chest. "Both girls seem perfectly healthy. See, I told you, you had nothing to worry about. The drugs we gave you toward the latter stages of your pregnancy helped strengthen their lungs," she told her. "It was the same drug we had tried when you went into premature labor with Kaleb, but because his early birth was completely unexpected, it didn't have adequate time to work as well as it did with the twins. If we had given them to you earlier in your pregnancy with Kaleb, in anticipation for an early birth, he probably would have been exactly like the girls," doctor Mitchel informed them.

Just like baby A had been, baby B was taken over to the baby warmer, weighed and checked out by the pediatric team just to make sure she was completely healthy. Also like her sister, she was indeed completely healthy, and she weighed in at a little less than her sister at six pounds, one ounce, but both girls were eighteen inches long.

Both were perfectly healthy, despite having been born around the same gestational age as their older brother had been.

Later on that day, after Chasity had gotten some rest and both twins were cleaned up and rested, Jon brought Kaleb up to the hospital to see his mother and meet his new sister's. Walking into the room, Jon smiled and leaned down to kiss Chasity. "Feeling better now, mama," Jon asked. Chasity nodded.

"Much, thank you. I just talked to the nurse, she said she would bring the twins in, in a few minutes," Chasity said as Jon handed Kaleb over to her. "Hi, baby boy. I know you're not going to understand any of this, but hopefully the photos we take will be enough to suffice," Chasity chuckled as the nurse wheeled in the two bassinets with a twin lying in each one.

"We need to give them names. 'Baby Girl Good' just isn't good enough for them," Jon joked. Chasity chuckled and shook her head.

"Well, I liked Evangelia Grace, and we can call her Evie for short," Chasity threw out. Jon nodded. "Evangelia Grace Good. Yeah, that sounds nice," he agreed.

"Alright, I named Kaleb and baby A, so now you get to name baby B," Chasity said as Jon handed Evie over to her.

"When we were going through the names, the one that always struck me for some reason was Abella Faith and we can call her Abbie for short," Jon said, picking up the second twin. Chasity Nodded.

"Abella Faith Good. I like it. And Evie and Abbie for short. I like those, too," she admitted. "I also like that they don't start with the same letter or rhyme." Jon nodded.

"Me, too," He admitted as he sat down on the side of the bed next to Chasity as a nurse walked into the room. Chasity handed her, her phone and asked her to take a photo of them, which she happily obliged and snapped their first family photo.

Chasity snapped out of her recollection as Alisha called for her and Jon to stand in front of the balcony windows, after Jon had placed Kaleb in his play pen and the twins were secured in their bouncy seats, all three playing contently. The blinds were made to be wide open behind them, making the Las Vegas skyline their backdrop. "Chasity, hold your hand up so the camera can see your ring, Jon hold her hand and wrap your other arm around her and pull her into you a bit," Alisha instructed. "Perfect," she exclaimed as she snapped the photo a few times from a few different angles; just as she had the previous family photos. "Now, Jon stand behind her with your arms wrapped around her waist, hands clamped closed over her stomach, Chasity place your hands on top of his, and rest your chin on her shoulder, Jon," Alisha instructed. "There we go, awesome," she said as she snapped another three photos from a few more different angles.

After rearranging a few things and moving Jon and Chasity so they were on an angle in front of the Vegas skyline Alisha walked back over to where her camera was set up. "Alright, last pose, stand next to each other. Chasity, wrap your right arm around Jon, Jon wrap your left arm around Chasity and with your opposite hands arch your fingers and put them together so the tips of your finger nails are touching and then touch the heels of your palms together, so each of your hands form the shape of a heart," she instructed as she showed them with her hands exactly what she wanted to see. As Alisha snapped various photos of this pose. "Alright, throw a quick kiss into the mix," Alisha said. As Jon brushed his lips against Chasity's and Alisha started snapping the photo, once again from different angles, Chasity flashbacked to the day Jon had proposed.

"Seriously Jon, where are you taking me," Chasity asked for what felt like the thousandth time, but in reality had probably only been the sixth or seventh time. He shook his head.

"Nope, you'll see when we get there," he told her.

"You know I hate surprises," Chasity reminded him. Jon nodded.

"I'm well aware of that, but I don't care," Jon told her smugly. Chasity frowned at him.

"So you're torturing me on purpose? I'd much rather be at home with our children enjoying family time then enduring whatever torture you've thought up, thank you very much," she told him. Jon shook his head.

"I hardly think me taking you out and surprising you construes as torture, but in any event, I think you'll actually like this surprise," Jon informed her as he pulled into the parking lot of a park Chasity didn't recognize.

"Where are we," she questioned, looking around.

"A park," Jon responded. Chasity rolled her eyes.

"Thanks captain obvious, I meant what park. I don't recognize it."

"Probably because it doesn't have any slides or swings," Jon joked, pointing out the fact she hadn't been to any parks except those with playground equipment since Kaleb had been born causing Chasity to punch him in the shoulder.

"Shut up, you ass," she laughed.

"No, but really, the answer to your question, I'm not sure of the name of the park. I found it while I was biking one day a few years ago and loved it," he informed her. "So I figured it'd be a good spot for a date one day," he shrugged as he parked the car in a parking spot. "Alright, let's go see what I packed in the picnic basket, shall we," Jon smirked as Chasity raised her eyebrows.

"Wait a minute," Chasity said, halting Jon from climbing out of the truck. "You packed a picnic basket for us?" Jon nodded to answer her question. "By yourself?" Another nod. "Without help?" Yet another nod which caused Chasity to shake her head in disbelief. "Oh, this I've got to see," she admitted as she hopped out of the car and went around to the trunk where she met Jon who had just popped the trunk open revealing not only a picnic basket but a blanket, too.

Chasity stood there in a slight state of shock at how romantic her boyfriend was being. As she watched Jon lay the blanket out about twenty feet away from the car she looked around the park a bit taking notice of her surroundings. To the north was the edge of a cliff overlooking a part of the Vegas desert, the sun was just starting to set over it; to the west was some trees on each side of what appeared to be a bike trail running up the middle of them; to the east was a tiny pond with frogs hidden in the bushes that surrounded it just beginning to chirp. There were probably fish hidden beneath the water, too; to the south of where Jon was setting up their blanket and picnic meal was some tennis courts that were fenced off from the rest of the park. This was definitely Jon's kind of park. When he said he found it biking awhile back she had no doubt he'd probably went biking on the aforementioned bike trails one day.

"You ready to eat," she heard Jon ask, bringing her attention back to him. She nodded.

"What did you bring," she asked as she walked over and lowered herself onto the blanket.

"Nothing too much, just a couple chicken salad sandwiches, a tossed salad, and some cupcakes," Jon told her as she eyed the food he had pulled out of the picnic basket.

"Wait, you made chicken salad and then put it on break to form sandwiches and you tossed a salad," she questioned. Jon nodded. "And where'd the cupcakes come from," she asked, knowing there was no way he had made them. She just couldn't see him being able to bake cupcakes without burning and destroying them.

"Why is it so difficult for you to believe I actually put together a picnic dinner," he asked, but before she could answer he continued. "As for the cupcakes, Kaleb and Shelly made those yesterday, I just asked if I could snag some of them," Jon admitted. "Besides, Kaleb shouldn't have all the sugar anyway." Chasity nodded silently agreeing with him.

"You never make food. That's always my job when you're home, and when you're on the road you always go out somewhere to eat, so forgive me for having a hard time seeing you making food in the kitchen without help," Chasity said.

"Well, I did pretty much raise myself, so I had to eat somehow. Whenever I had spare money I'd make myself nice foods just to make myself feel special every now and again," he admitted. Chasity frowned.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad, or bring up bad memories from your past. Let's just eat and forget I said anything," Chasity said, trying to change the mood back to a positive vibe again.

They made small talk about Kaleb and the twins throughout their meal, which helped turn the mood back to the way it had been before Chasity stuck her foot in her mouth. When they got to the dessert portion of the meal Jon put the plate of cupcakes out in front of them and told Chasity to choose one. "Why do I have to choose first," she asked, as she eyed the tasty sweet treats.

"Because ladies always go first," Jon smarted back. Chasity looked up at him and eyed him curiously.

"Since when did you start caring about chivalry," Chasity questioned. Jon shrugged.

"Since you and I brought two daughters into the world," he joked. Chasity shook her head.

"Cute, Jon. Real cute," the sarcasm was dripping from her voice.

"Yeah, yeah, please just pick a cupcake already. The sun is about to disappear over the horizon for the night and I kind of wanted to be headed home by the time it got dark," Jon told her trying to nudge her decision along.

"Fine, I want this one," she said choosing the one in the center of the five cupcakes he'd managed to snag from the batch Kaleb and their babysitter, Shelly, had baked the day before.

Before she could pick up her chosen cupcake there was a loud, weird noise off in the distance causing Chasity to look in that direction. There was a weird yet awesome looking bird standing on the edge of the cliff about a hundred yards across the park.

That distraction wasn't planned, but it was perfectly timed. Before the distraction Jon wasn't sure how he was going to manage to set this up exactly the way he wanted it, but the bird wound up unexpectedly helping him. While Chasity was watching the bird Jon quickly slipped the ring into the center of the cupcake and shoved the box back into his pocket. "Neat looking bird," Jon said, bringing Chasity's attention back to him.

"Yeah, it was," Chasity admitted as she watched the bird fly away.

"Alright, back to the cupcakes," Jon said. Without looking down Chasity continued to watch the bird fly off in the distance as she searched around blindly for her cupcake with her hand when she touched something that felt small and hard. Looking down to see what she was touching she gasped. There in front of her was a beautiful diamond ring on top of the cupcake she'd chosen. She knew it hadn't been there before. She definitely would've seen it. It wasn't huge, but it definitely wasn't the type of thing that could be easily missed when she had examined all the cupcakes closely to decide which one she wanted, either. There was three small diamonds in the center of a heart. The two on top were medium sized while the one below them was tiny, and the gold of the band itself was bright as could be. There was no way it had been there and she had missed it. Looking up toward Jon another gasp fell from her lips as she noticed he was down on one knee. Realizing what was going on the tears started brimming her eyes.

Jon took the ring into his hand and held it up toward her. "Chasity Nicole, since the day at the bar when I bumped into you and I knew I knew you but couldn't put your face with your name, I knew you were it for me; even after I found out you were pregnant with what we thought was another man's baby I knew I was done searching for someone else. You were it for me," Jon paused for a moment, seemingly trying to gather all his thoughts together. "If I'm totally honest, I think I knew back in high school you were it for me, but I was too stubborn and stupid to admit it," Jon admitted. "I cannot tell you just how glad I am that we bumped back into each other that day and if I can't explain that, I definitely can't explain just how thrilled I am that I got to be in our son's life from the very beginning, and while they weren't planned, I'm so happy we decided to be stupid after Kaleb was born and we brought two more beautiful miracles into this world," Jon admitted. "I love you and our children with my entire heart and I never want to think about letting go of you guys ever again, let alone actually doing it. So, with that said, will you please do me the honor and become my wife," Jon asked. Chasity choked back a sob as she nodded her head.

"Yes, a thousand times yes," she accepted as Jon slipped the ring onto her finger before he stood up and planted his lips firmly against hers, sealing their engagement.

"Alright guys, that's a wrap," Alisha announced, bringing Chasity back from her thoughts and causing their kiss to break. "Chas, I will call you as soon as I have these edited and ready to give to you," Alisha told her as she packed her equipment into their respected cases. Chasity nodded.

"Alright, awesome. Thank you so much," she said just as Evie started pitching a fit in her bouncer. "Guess I should feed them, it's about that time," Chasity chuckled as she picked up the fussing twin.

"All three of them are absolutely adorable, and I'm so glad we got smiling, happy photos. Most of the time with babies their age all we manage is upset, crying photos," Alisha joked. Chasity nodded.

"Yeah, I cannot wait to see how they turn out," she admitted as she walked Alisha to the door. "Thank you so much for coming over to do this for us," Chasity told her as she gave her a one armed hug.

"No problem girl. If you want to do it again just give me a ring. Hell, if you get these photos back and love them as much as I think you will and you and Jon decided you want me to photograph your wedding, just give me a call and let me know. I'd love to do it," she told her as she returned the one armed hug.

"I definitely will," Chasity said.

"Awesome. Alright, I'll call you in a few days, as soon as I have these edited," Alisha told her stepping out the door.

"I'll be waiting for your call," Chasity admitted with a chuckle. "Bye girl," she called as Alisha loaded her camera equipment cases into the trunk of her car and climbed behind the wheel. Chasity closed the door as she drove off and walked back into the living room to see Jon sitting on the couch, Abbie nestled into the crook of his left arm sucking on his right index finger and Kaleb sitting beside him playing with a few of his toys. Chasity loved her life. A son, twin daughters and a loving fiancé she could raise them with.

After the way she and Jon had grown up they definitely couldn't ask for anything more.

Author's Note: Welp, that's it for this one. I hope you enjoyed the ending. :)
