Sailor Venus and the Quest for Power Ups!

Ten

Revolutionary Girl Utena

"Hey! What...?" Venus yelped as a very attractive orange haired woman attacked her. Standing off to the side was a dark skinned woman in a red dress, looking rather bemused.

"Why are you here in the dueling arena?" the woman demanded.

Venus dodged a sword thrust, then noted something else. Her arrival had apparently knocked a green haired guy out... because she landed on him. Ooops.

She picked up the guy's katana from the ground and quickly parried a sword slice. "Hey! Stop it!" Venus yelped.

"Who are you!" the woman demanded.

'Wait,' Venus blinked as she finally recognized the woman, 'that's Juri Arisugawa. But... younger. A lot younger.' She wracked her brain, trying to remember Juri's deal. Magic duels were part of it, she recalled.

Juri swung again, and Venus parried.

Even stranger, Venus couldn't feel her various powers either. Other than the basic physical boost she got from being transformed, she couldn't access any of her usual powers or the magic she had learned. It was creepy and odd.

'I don't know what happens if I win, but it's probably bad,' Venus thought as she leaped backward. She dropped the sword and loudly declared, "I yield."

Juri stopped, blinking, then looked at the other woman, "Is that allowed, Anthy?"

Anthy Himemiya, the Rose Bride, nodded as she bowed slightly to Juri, "It is. You are the Champion of the Duels."

"Ooooh," Saionji groaned as he finally came awake from Venus' butt hitting him on the head.

"Sorry buddy, let's get you out of here," Venus said as she helped him up, then the four took the concealed elevator to the ground.

"You just.. popped out from thin air. How?" Juri asked.

"Long story," Venus sighed. She could feel her powers coming back once they were away from the tower, which was a relief.

Saionji had fully revived, and was pissed. "I will challenge you for the Rose Bride, Arisugawa! Just you wait!" he growled and strode off.

Huh. From what Venus could remember, Juri said the only magic power around here was the Power of Dios. And the only way you could access it was to be ENGAGED to the Rose Bride. Venus wasn't sure she wanted it... or to drag Anthy along with her.

"Hmm?" Anthy tilted her head curiously.

"I'm sorry for interfering with your duel," Venus apologized to them both, "it was totally unintentional."

"I still want to know how you just appeared...," Juri started.

Venus held up the Time Key, "Like this."

Both gazed in shock as the pretty blonde just... disappeared.

(Interestingly, Venus falling on Saionji would result in an alternate timeline where Juri was stuck with Anthy for longer than canon. But that is a story for another time...)

Avengers!

"Avengers... assemble!" Captain America ordered as they faced down Thanos.

"Oh dear," Venus blinked as a horde of alien beasts bore down on them. "DIVINE BUSTER!" she yelled, unleashing her most powerful attack.

The three Avengers watched as she blasted the leading horde of attackers back. "Is she with you?" Cap asked Thor.

"No, I thought she was with you," Thor addressed Iron Man.

"Nope. And you notice she's speaking Japanese, yet it's instantly translated?" Iron Man observed thoughtfully.

"Back her up!" Cap decided as they all charged in alongside her.

Thor was double wielding both Stormbringer and Mjolnir, Iron Man was blasting away with repulsors and Captain America was engaging them hand to hand. And at the point was Venus, using energy bolts, her chain and brute strength.

"Have we met?" Cap asked as they ended up side by side.

"No, sir," Venus replied to him cheerfully, "but your reputation proceeds you." She asked, "Do we have a plan?"

"Find Thanos. End him," Thor said firmly.

"Works for me!" Venus agreed, firing off another 'Venus crescent beam' and cutting down a swath of enemies.

"I suppose we couldn't ask you to join the Avengers?" Iron Man asked admiringly. She was SCARILY powerful.

"Sorry," Venus said cheerfully, "I have to move on after this."

"Tony, no looking up her skirt," Cap added.

"I was NOT."

Thor just ignored that as they fought forward through the army. He chucked Mjolnir to clear another group of attackers, but while clobbering a armored beastie missed the catch. He wasn't bothered, it would return to him again.

Venus hopped up, snatching the hammer out of the air then gracefully landed. She casually tossed it to Thor, "Here you go."

"Thank you," Thor said, mildly surprised.

"That tingled," Venus added innocently.

The four finally reached Thanos, who hefted his huge blade. He saw Venus and blinked as he growled out, "You."

"We've met?" Venus looked confused.

"KILL THEM!" Thanos yelled, waving his elite troops forward.

And much battle followed. After Doctor Strange called up reinforcements, then Captain Marvel arrived, it turned into a rout.

"Can I keep this? It's kinda cool." Venus asked, hefting Mjolnir again.

"Sorry, it's something of a family treasure," Thor explained as he gestured for her to hand it back to him.

"Oh poo," Venus passed it over. Before anyone could ask where she had come from or why she was there, she raised up the time key... and vanished.

"What," Thor, Cap and Iron Man blinked.

"Damn. I wanted to ask where we met before," Captain Marvel added.

My Next Life as a Villainess! All Routes Lead to Doom!

Before she had been reincarnated as Katarina Claes, she had been a Otome Game fan, especially Fortune Lover. But even she had been something of an anime fan too, especially the long running, popular series.

Which meant she INSTANTLY recognized Sailor Venus. Though her outfit looked slightly off, with armored shoulder pieces and matching gloves, a large belt pouch and a pistol holstered on the opposite hip.

'How...?' Katarina blinked. Worse, one of the more obnoxious noble ladies had stumbled on Venus, and looked unhappy.

"What are you doing here?" Sienna demanded. "And why are you dressed so strangely?" she continued, frowning.

"Uhm..," Venus help up her hands.

Katarina advanced on the pair, "Oh, Miss Venus. It's a pleasure to see you again." She turned to Sienna, "Please, excuse us." Then she took Venus' hand and quickly lead her away before anyone could ask inconvenient questions.

"How do you know..," Venus started.

Katarina hushed her, leading her to one of the garden corners that were usually deserted. "Sorry about dragging you off," Katarina said.

"No, you pretty much saved me," Venus noted. Curiously she asked, "How did you know who I am, Miss?"

Katarina explained her whole 'reincarnated in a Otome game' situation. She was vaguely surprised how calmly she took it.

"Trust me, I've seen weirder," Venus explained cheerfully as she told about her randomly jumping around the multiverse. She took out a curved mirror, held it up and said, "Disguise power! Make me a noble lady!"

Katarina blinked as she shimmered, reappearing in a similar gown to hers, along with her hair braided back and no tiara. "So pretty!" Katarina breathed out. She was nearly as lovely as Maria!

"Thank you," Venus smiled sunnily. "Would you mind being my guide while I look around?" she asked politely.

"Oh, certainly," Katarina agreed. The two left the secluded garden and walked back along the halls, "Were you brought here for a reason, or...?"

"I'm not sure," Venus admitted candidly, "most of the time it appears random, but sometimes not. I've also been dropped into pitched battles at times."

"I see," Katarina nodded. She hoped a battle wasn't coming HERE... She recognized th student council president up ahead and waved, "Morning, President Dieke!"

"Dieke?" Venus murmured.

Katarina nodded, "Sirius Dieke."

Venus nearly choked at that, then blinked at the young man. "He's full of dark magic!" Venus exclaimed.

"What!" Katarina yelped.

"Shit!" Sirius barked, turned around and ran.

To be continued...

Notes: A rare two part episode! More next chapter.

I'm actually surprised I haven't done a Utena bit in this story already. The Avengers bit is an alternate version of Endgame. Yes, sometime later in Venus' timeline she'll meet younger Thanos. And Captain Marvel.

I'm REALLY enjoying 'My Next life as a Villainness, All Routes Lead to DOOM.' It's both very fun and very sweet. Strongly recommended.
