A/N/: Hey everyone! So I got this little idea from the news, which I watch everyday… On June 19th, in Oregon, it was take your dog to work day. I couldn't help the idea that came in to my mind next. And this pairing is Burt and Carol. For everyone who has been asking for them! One last thing, their dog…. My great aunt and great uncle had one just like it. Even down to the name! I hope everyone likes this story!

DISCLAIMER: I do not own Glee. If I did, we wouldn't have to wait a year for the new season, and we would know when the hell Klaine was going to get married!

WARNINGS: Ummmm, cuteness. I think that's it for this one folks.

Since Finn and Kurt moved out and started their own lives, Burt and Carol thought the house felt a bit empty. It took them a while to decide how to fix that. But in the end, they decided to get a dog. Of course it took even longer for the couple to pick just the dog they both wanted as well. Burt had wanted a large dog, and Carol had wanted a small dog. They had gone to the animal shelter in Westerville, just to look around. But they ended up leaving with a dog.

This dog, when they saw her, looked to be lying down. She looked like a golden lab. And Burt and Carol fell in love with her right away. The couple was in for a surprise though, when the dog came out of the cage. She hadn't been lying down. Carol asked if there was anything wrong with her, since she wasn't as tall as any other golden labs she had seen before.

"Nothing's wrong with her. She's part golden lab and part corgi." The person said, as she lead the two humans and the dog down the hall and out to the main area.

"Does she have a name?" Burt asked, as he bent down and rubbed the dog's head.

"We've been calling her honey." The couple looked at each other, and knew right away they would have to change her name. "Would you like to change his name?" It was as if the employee could read their minds.

"Yes." They answered at the same time, and then smiled at each other.

"Okay, just write down what you want to call her now, and fill out the rest of the paper work."

Burt and Carol talked about for a few minutes, and came up with the perfect name. Burt filled out the paperwork and then passed back to the younger woman. She looked down at the top page and smiled as she read the new name.

"Sunny is a great name for her!" She exclaimed, as she handed over the bright blue leash and a medium size bag of food. "She's three years old, and loves going for walks every day. If you have any questions, you can always call us."

With some thank you and some good byes shared, the new family left, heading home.
