Oh hell, how did I write this back then? I made such a cringy story! It's been how many years since I've last updated anything and I'm still getting notifications for people both following and favoriting my badly written stories. Not gonna lie though, it always warms my heart when I get the emails. Soooooo, getting to the juicy tidbits, this has finally been rewritten! I'm gonna try my best to update more than once every other year (laugh it up) but I'm not gonna promise once a week or even once a month. I will try my hardest to put quality chapters up, and maybe find someone to beta for me.
On another note, I would like to thank every single person for their kind words over the years. Those who are new to this story can skip this part, by the way. But for those who have been reading for years, you guys really are amazing people. A lot of the mental problems I had when I was younger are mostly gone now, thankfully, and every single kind word and well wishes helped me quite a bit. So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Here's to (hopefully) better writing and future updates!

Giving a slow glance around the guild hall, a beautiful woman gave a tiny smile that quickly turned into an ugly frown when her gaze passed over an empty bar stool to the far right of her. Staring at that spot for a moment, she unfocused to the area around her. Coming to when another guild member called her name, Mira turned from the lonely corner, not wanting anymore memories to be recalled. Pushing the last of her dark memories away, Mira plastered a pleasant smile on and went to go help the yelling guild member. Reaching her destination, she ignored the knowing looks she received from Cana and Grey, not wanting let past consume her.
"What would you two like?" The barmaid cheerfully asked, letting the two other mages know that she was not going to talk about it. Looking at each other, Grey nodded before ordering some random food.
"You know my usual Mira~!" Cana slurred, trying to lighten the slightly tense air. "Don't tell me we're out of my boyfriend!" Laughing lighty, Mira shook her head to assure that they still had some booze for the Fairy Tail drunk. Smirking, Cana quickly quipped back, "Oh, then why is my barrel almost empty? It's only my third today." Laughing again Mira walked off to retrieve their orders.
"She was looking at her spot again." Grey muttered, refusing to look over to where he was talking about. He didn't want to be brought back either. Sighing, Cana dropped the cheesy grin she had in place.
"I know, that's why I called her over. Mira has been looking at L-... looking at that area more and more often. It's not healthy... But I can't help but relate." The ice mage nodded his agreement. He missed her, they all did, but there was no way to find her. Not anymore.
Clenching his fist, Grey darkly spoke, "There, there was nothing we could have done. But if only we had some hint, some knowledge, something! We could have stopped him. We could have stopped that damnable spirit from what he did to my team. From what he did to us…" Lowering his head till his bangs covered his eyes, Grey fought the urge to scream, he could have done something if he had been stronger, faster. He could have stopped that mage. Jumping, he looked to Cana, who'd placed her hand atop his.
"All of us want to get at that son of a bitch." Lowering her voice, the brunette gave a quick glance around the room before continuing, "What he did to your team, to Natsu, to Lu-" She was interrupted by someone loudly clearing their throat. Turning to see who did it, the two mages gave similar sounds of shock at seeing their guild master staring at them gravely. Opening her mouth to something, Cana quickly closed it when Makarov raised a hand.
Taking a deep breath, the tiny master began to speak. "I know. This is not an easy situation to think about or even talk about, brats, but we cannot let what happened bring us this far down. All of us miss her, make no exception. Lucy will always be within our hearts and our thoughts. Knowing her, she would be upset to hear about the state her friends fallen into. She wouldn't want this for us." Clearing his throat again, Master Makarov tried to remove the lump in there. Taking another moment to compose himself, he continued. "Lucy is alive, and we will see her again."
With that said, he pointed towards Mira, who had heard the tale end of the conversation, and walked off, probably to go bother Laxus. Turning to look at their fellow mage, they winced at the look on her face. "It's okay guys," Grinning so widely that her eyes closed, Mira continued. "I was staring at her spot and I never try to hide that I do that. I just…" The grin fell away. "I'm just reminded of how Lisanna disappeared for two years and.." Her eyes opened, looking glossy. " And Lucy has been gone for almost twice that amount… I, I don't know what to think; I don't know if she's coming back or if Lucy is alive and safe." A few tears slipped out and left wet trails in their wake. Standing up, Cana wiped them away.
"We have to believe that Master is right," Grey grit out. "He wouldn't lie to us about this Mira, she's alive, and we will meet her again. Sooner or later, we'll see her again." At this, Mira nodded and deposited their food and drink. Walking off, she smiled again. It was just as false as the others.
Alright! Well, it's shorter than I wanted, but I just had to put this out for you guys. So, this is the preview to how I write compared to a few years ago and I promise that other chapters will have more meat to them.
With love.
