HEY so guess who managed to lose the list of the characters she still had to write chapters for and only found it a few days ago? I AM SO SORRY, and I feel like a very useless person. I've got Ryuto, Lera, Coach Steel and Tetsuya to do, and then I will actually wrap up this story.

Ryuto

The thunder woke him; unusual in itself as he was a sound sleeper. Flailing for a second – what happened is it the end of the world fear shock can't move tangled up help – Ryuto pulled himself out of the strangling cocoon of sheets as another flash of light flared around the edges of his curtains.

For a moment, the light looked red.

Ryuto was across the room and yanking the curtains open even as the next deafening roll of thunder boomed out above his head. But the lightning was yellow-white, revealing only the garden below, waves of wind rippling through the trees.

It wasn't hope that drew him to look for fire-coloured lightning in the sky, or to stare down into the garden for someone who would never be there. Hope had died decades ago.

"Where are you, Ryuga?" he asked the lightning, but only the thunder roared in reply.
