The third chapter of Green as Grass has finally arrived. I do have to apologize for the late updates. Between moving and 2 jobs it was hard to find a moment to write but here I am.

Julie watches Ben as he decides on a green button up shirt that is open over a t-shirt that has his favorite band on it and jeans. He's favorite band being Simple Plan.
"Is this ok?" Ben asks Julie.
"Yes it is." Julie replies with a smile. "I'm surprised you said yes after all of this time. You don't seem sure about this though."
"I'm not. I'm afraid it may be a joke or something. Gwen is going to hate me when she finds out."
"No, she won't. I love you Ben like you were my brother but Gwen won't do anything to you. I'll make sure of it."
"Thanks." He smiles as they hug before he meets Kevin at the door.
"You look great Ben." Kevin says in his black unbutton shirt and a plain black muscle shirt with jeans.
"Thank you."
Gwen watches as they leave the house dressed in her black mini skirt and a tight blue top. She sits in her car applying her make up and finishes her hair before following them in Kevin's green car with the black strip on it.
Ben smiles at Kevin as he watches him drive. He realized that he didn't know just how much he liked Kevin until this moment as he takes in the black hair raven. Ben's green eyes trace the side outline of Kevin, from his forehead until Ben can't see past his legs anymore.
"Can I help you?" Kevin asks smiling when he catches Ben checking him out.
"I'm sorry." Ben blushes while Kevin laughs a little.
"Don't be. Although I like that you are red. You look cute. I also like the fact you're checking me out."
"You like to ruin the moment don't you?"
"No, I just love it when you blush. Are you worried about something?"
"No, Just nervous. I haven't dated since Julie and I went out a few times."
"Well truth is I am too. I like you and don't want to ruin what we have but I like you way to much to not try you know?" Kevin keeps one hand on the wheel as the one is on the armrest.
"It will be fine." Ben smiles and grabs Kevin's free hand to lace them together. "We'll do this together."
"This is why you're the leader you know. You know how to talk to people and get them to trust you." Kevin smiles at Ben as he holds his hand a little tighter as they pull up to the carnival.
"Where to first?" Kevin asks after he pays to get in.
"Rides and games? I feel the need to walk around and do things before I eat you know." Ben says with a smile as he grabs Kevin's hand pulling him over to the ticket booth for rides. "I've got this. The unlimited stamps are 10 dollars each."
"I could pay for it." Kevin says softly.
"I know but you paid to get in and you are probably going to pay for dinner if I know you." Ben kisses Kevin on the cheek. "So let me get this?"
"Alright." Kevin smiles and surprised about the kiss a little bit.
From not to far away Gwen is pissed off that Ben kissed Kevin on the cheek. She restrains herself from going over there and ripping Ben's head off before dragging Kevin with her.
"Damn it Ben. He's mine. Hands off asshole." She says to herself as they walk over to the bumper cars.
Kevin chooses a green car as Ben chooses a silver one. Gwen watches them chase each other around. She uses her powers to force Kevin to slam into Ben's car harder then before. Ben goes flying against the wall in the car, causing it to dent it and slam Ben's shoulder against the wall.
The guy in charge stops the ride and runs over to him. Kevin jumps out of his car running over to Ben as well.
"That hurt." Ben states as he rubs his shoulder before stepping out of the car.
"Are you alright?" Mike the attendant of the ride asks. "Are you hurt? How is your shoulder?
"Just sore not broken. Bruised." Ben says as Kevin runs up behind.
"Are you alright? What happened?" Kevin asks freaking out a little bit.
"I don't know you hit me." Ben says as Kevin looks down.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to hit you that hard."
"It was probably the ride." Mike states. "Sometimes we get extra bursts of energy and things like this happen. I'm going to call the front and the ticket masters for the rides and tell them what happen. They will probably come over and give you a free day today and for another day if you want to come back. Hang on let me take care of that."
"Are you sure you're ok?" Kevin asks again when mike walks away.
"I am. Thank you. " Ben smiles up at Kevin. "It was sweet of you to care so much."
"Ben, of course I care. I know sometimes I may act like I don't but I always have. From the moment we met. I always cared." Kevin states.
Ben smiles and kisses him softly when Mike walks back over.
"Here you guys are. Refunds everything is free for you today." Mike hands them an evelope with cash refunds and free meal tickets drinks include.
"Thank you." Kevin says as he leads Ben off of the rink when Mike goes to take care of the two bumper cars and turns them off. "Where do you want to go next?"
"The Ferris wheel may be the safest one right now." Ben smiles.
"Ok let's go." Kevin grabs Ben's hand as they walk toward the Ferris wheel. Gwen follows behind staying out of sight. She gets really upset that Kevin is going on the most romantic ride without her.
"This will be fun." Ben says as he and Kevin get on the ride. He smiles when Kevin puts his arm gently around Ben's shoulders without trying to hurt him. Ben smiles and cuddles in to Kevin's arm making Kevin smile.
Gwen smiles, knowing Ben hates heights decides to stop the Ferris wheel once they are at the stop. She uses her powers to cut the electricity to the Ferris Wheel the moment Ben and Kevin's seat are at the way top. She smiles imagining Ben freaking out in front of Kevin, knowing he hates being weak at any moment.
Ben's eyes get wide when he realizes they are not moving from the highest point of the Ferris wheel.
"Why aren't we moving?" Ben asks freaking out a little bit.
"Idk." Kevin says looking around a bit.
"Get me off of here now Kevin!" Ben hides his face.
"What? Why?" Kevin takes a moment before realizing. "You are afraid of heights aren't you?"
Ben nods without looking at Kevin.
"It's ok. We're all afraid of something." Kevin pulls Ben a little closer to him. "Just focus on me ok?"
"I'm the leader I shouldn't be afraid of anything. Why do you think Gwen wants you to be the leader? You aren't afraid of anything."
"Not true. I am afraid of some things but a true leader finds courage to face it. You do it every time we're in the plane or flying with Gwen."
"What are you afraid of?"
"Besides losing you? I'm afraid of clowns. I saw It from Stephen King and I've hated clowns ever since."
"Afraid of clowns really?"
"Why do you think I don't go near them?"
"Makes sense." Ben laughs a little. "I'm surprised though."
"Shut up." Kevin says smiling. "Feel better?"
"Yes I do. Thank you." Ben kisses Kevin.
"Attention, The fire department is on the way. We are having electrical difficulties and it will take all night to fix the electrical box. We will have everyone down in a few hours please remain calm!" The head person announces over the microphone.
"What do you want to do until then?" Kevin asks as Ben cuddles into him a little bit more.
"Oh idk talk, sleep or making out are pretty much our options." Ben says with a smile.
"I can do that." Kevin laughs before kissing Ben.
Gwen stamps her foot, upset that they are not arguing and fighting. She knows she needs to do something soon to break them up for good. She decides today she had enough scheming and isn't going to wait for them to get down. She drives away in her Sudan.
I decided to end it here for many reasons. Gwen will be back don't worry. Kevin and Ben are better right now. I hope you enjoyed it. Please review. I do apologize for the delay.
