"No More Regrets"

They had just returned back to Quantico after their first case with JJ back from the Pentagon as a profiler. Everyone was happy to have JJ back, but no one was quite as happy as Spencer Reid. Reid and JJ had always been close best friends, but Reid had kept how he really felt about JJ hidden. Now that she was back, Reid decided it was time for a change.

As everyone getting off the jet and heading to their cars to go home, Reid grabbed JJ by the arm and said, "Hey, would you want to go on a walk with me through the park or something? It's not that late, if you don't mind."

"I wouldn't mind. Is something wrong?" JJ asked.

He smiled slightly and responded, "Nothing's wrong. I just wanted to talk."

"Alright," she said getting into his car.

Moments later, they had arrived at the park, and JJ had noticed that Reid was getting more nervous. It had been so long since they had worked together, but he was still the same Spencer Reid.

They started walking toward the fountain in the middle of the park when JJ said, "So what did you want to talk about, Spence?"

"I can't even begin to explain how much I've missed that," he said quietly thinking JJ wouldn't hear him.

"Missed what?" she asked.

He blushed and said, "I've missed hearing you call me Spence every day at work. I'm really glad you're back at the BAU."

"I'm glad to be back," JJ said, "It just wasn't the same at the Pentagon. It wasn't like family there."

"Jennifer, I need to be completely honest with you about something," Reid said as they sat down on the edge of the fountain.

She nodded allowing him to continue with what he had to say.

"I…I ... um ... I just regret not having done this before," Reid said leaning in closer.

He caressed her cheek with his hand and gently pressed his lips to hers. His heart dropped when he realized she wasn't responding. As he was about to pull back, however, her fingers intertwined in his hair pulling him closer to her. As the need for oxygen grew, they pulled apart, out of breath, grinning.

"Jennifer, when you left for the Pentagon, I regretted leaving so many things left unsaid. Now that you're back, I didn't want to put off saying it any longer. I don't want to live with anymore regrets. We've always been close as friends, and that allowed me to see you for who you really are. You are the most angelically beautiful woman I know. You're caring, sweet, and I couldn't imagine anyone else that I'd rather be with. I love you, Jennifer," he said.

"Oh, Spence. I love you, too. So much," she replied leaning in again.

As they kissed again in the moment of their now confessed love, the sun set beautifully behind them.
